This is not a review, just for info: Computers and parts have been erratic lately with wide price spreads. I am now placing things in my favorites to lock in prices when at low point, waiting for lowest or buy in cart items if prices drop no further. It is similar to locking in a loan rate on a home.I just brought these at $73.74 and had them in my favorites for a week. They are now $89.74. Saved $16.UPDATE: The higher profile of the corsair made them (2x8) easier to install. I now humbly admit that it has been about 4 years since my last dimm installation. I vaguely remembered that the dimm of mixed couples must be a staggered installation (1,3:2,4) counting off from the back of the computer cpu.Since the 2,4 slots were occupied by 4 gig chips, I installed the corsair 8 GB into the open slots. No good, just a blank screen. Reversed the new/old chip installation, still blue screen. Then kept the 8 GB into the slots originally occupied by the 4 gb and then removed the 4 GB's from the installation. That worked and the computer reports 16 gb of ram on board. This appears to mean that installation of dimms must not only be of the same speed, but also all chips must be of the same capacity in GB.Success. I now have 16 gb on board, but have no use for the original 2x4 gb chips. What I encountered was maybe exclusive to my motherboard, an AMD Jasmine (7778}. It is an HP 2378 computer, 3.6 MHz processor, 8 gb ram, on board graphics and audio chips. No speed burner.I have no plans on future expansion since I don't want to try replacing the hard drive, which is 7200 rpm but only a 3 gb transfer rate, which I believe is the bottleneck for this computer. And since I don't play games, I really have no business putting my hands into a computer case. Cruse the web, buy on amazon, play dvd's checked out of the library.... I am 60 and so totally boring.Flog me at will, but I learn.

Bought 2 sets for 32 GB, works flawlessly.Built my entire computer through Amazon for less than it cost me to buy my Macbook Pro. This is the motherboard I decided on since it had two Ethernet connections that I could dedicate to CNC machines to avoid any crosstalk. By the time I write this I'm sure that they probably have come out with a better board, but what can you do , have to get on the marry-go-round sooner or later. My Case I chose is the Chenbro Rackmount 4U Server Chassis that accepts this board without any issues.Intel i74790 processor, NZXT aperture card reader, Corsair Vengeance 32 GB DDR3 RAM,Samsung slim internal disk drive, Corsair CXM 750 Watt power supply,Samsung 850 pro 512 GB SSD ,TP Link n900 wireless dual band pic express card, NZXT Sentry 3 touch screen fan controller with extra fans. And a killer 4 monitor graphics card that I can't remember what it was now. Couldn't be happier with my setup, Being I haven't built a computer since the mid 90's it was really cool to see this come together without any issues at all, Definitely the way to go if you want a clean computer without any BS software preinstalled from the factory.

I wanted to upgrade my PC as the motherboard and processor were about 5 years old.I spent three months on and off checking up on motherboards, memory, cpu's, and cpu fans.I found a motherboard capable of 32 Gb of ram, although I did not want that much right away.I also found the Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10 Vengenace 16GB 1600MHz CL10 DDR3 Memory Two Module Kit.Although I had never used Corsair before, the many write ups that I read said they were good. The two module 16GB was also perfect as it used only two of the four memory slots on the MB. This will allow me to get a second identical kit later when I am ready to upgrade and increase the Ram.The PC is running extremely well, and I no longer have to click and wait for something to happen. Now it is click and the next page, program, or whatever I am doing is there. I am not a gamer. I use the PC to manage an online company, run support and write not only articles but websites using code not page makers, and the memory combined with the processor( an i7) and motherboard make a fantastic difference to production. So this memory is not just for gamers it is great for all users of PCs.

I'm reviewing this because after some googleing, I can not find anyone who has overclocked these and posted results.I purchased these over 2 years ago and have had them overclocked the entire time and running tighter timings the entire time. I was just wondering how far these would go and since I can't find any information on it, I figure I'd tell others what I've been running them at for years now. I've never tested to see how far they would go. I only set this memory speed when I got them and it worked so I've rolled with it.DDR3-1884Bus Speed = 101.2 (Using 133Mhz Strap for memory base frequency of 134.6 Mhz)DRAM Frequency = 942.2 MHZFSB:DRAM = 1:7CAS# Latency (CL) = 9.0 clocksRAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD)= 10 clocksRAS# Precharge (tRP) = 10 clocksCycle Time (tRAS) = 27 clocksCommand Rate (CR) = 1TVoltage = 1.55v (It might run on 1.5v, I just figured 1.55 seemed good for what I was doing. It worked and I haven't tweaked it)So thats DDR3-1884 9-10-10-27-1T. CPU is i7-3770k @ 4.35 Ghz.When I bought these I paid 80 bucks. In hindsight, I really wish I purchased 32GB then.

If your memory shows up as 1333mhz. you can adjust its clock in your bios and it has XMP 1.3 you can use to guarantee it will run at 1600mhz. The JEDEC #4 looks like it has a lower TRC over the XMP settings. Not sure if thats a good thing. JEDEC #4 is an automatic setting. My memory is overclocked to 1866mhz CAS11 @ 1.52v. The memory will run at 1600mhz CAS 10 @ 1.49v just fine. I ran this memory at 2000mhz for about 2 hours. It was unstable but I hadn't yet raised the voltage. It would probably need around 1.6v with CAS around 13 or 14. It would probably run poorly at a 2000mhz setting anyways. I recommend trying for 1866 on this memory. Your safe up to 1.6v but you shouldn't need more then 1.52v to achieve 1866mhz.Also my opinions are not professional so do so at your own risk. 1866 is really safe though.XMP 1.3 JEDEC #4CAS Latency 10.0 10.0RAS to CAS 10 10RAS Precharge 10 10tRAS 27 27TRC 41 39Command Rate 2TI would choose the automatic settings in your bios if you can. XMP will just raise your voltage and set a higher TRC setting and again, im not sure what TRC is so..

I purchased 16GB of this RAM for my new gaming rig. I was blown away with how fast they were and how great they looked within my case on the motherboard. I do a lot of gaming and demand performance from all my components. The Corsair Vengeance offers that demanded performance in 1600MHz. I tend to do a lot of overclocking and this RAM has held it's worth in gold. However, I have recently required 2400MHz in my overclocking and have recently upgraded. If you are a gamer that demands the most of their RAM, these sticks are the best for the price. They are efficient at stock voltages, economically efficient, effective at demanding games such as BF4, and dissipate heat very well with the built-in heat spreader. The 16gb setup has provided me with the flexibility I need to overclock, game, and perform intensive tasks such as 3D molecular modeling. Most games and programs won't require anything more than 1600MHz so these sticks are the best bang for your buck! If you are a overclocking junkie like me, look around at some 2400MHz options including Corsair's options!

I have been using Corsair Vengenance memory for a couple of different computer without issue. I recently wanted to upgrade two older 4GB sticks of memory with 2x8GB corsair memory sticks. I also added a new SSD and bought a new monitor. Because of time, I waited over a month before deciding to pull the desktop out, add the new disk and memory and attach my new 34" ultra-wide monitor. But after doing the upgrade, upon startup I got nothing. First I thought it was the new monitor because I was getting no output. But long story short, after much tinkering I found out that one of the 2 sticks of memory that I received was bad and that was causing the system to just hang and not boot. But the moral of the story is, don't let items like memory sit around before trying them out. The memory is no longer returnable to Amazon. I am not sure if I can return the bad stick to the manufacture but I am busy and I just wrote off the $30 cost of the bad memory stick and will try next time to try it out sooner so that it can be returned easily if there are any problems.

I recently bought this RAM to upgrade my existing system from 8GB to 16GB in order to run multiple VMs at the same time. I have always had Corsair RAM as it has never let me down and these sticks were no exception. Simply dropped them into the motherboard and rebooted. RAM detected with no problems and working just as I expected - perfect.I had been looking at a RAM upgrade for some time and decided to buy now before prices start to creep back up. That said, getting this RAM for < £60 delivered when all the other major on-line retailers are selling it between £75 and £80 + p&p is an absolute steal. One area to pay attention is the RAM heat sinks as they are quite large and if you have a CPUcooler that overhangs your RAM slots on the motherboard you may have issues getting these sticks to fit. In that case, just look out for the low profile version as they are the same as this but a much smaller height for those who don't have the luxury of space around their RAM slots on their motherboard.Usual great service from Amazon as well - Thanks

I got two sticks for my Asus p9x79. At first install, perfect. All bench tests show 1600, etc. Then after two weeks, I notice that they are showing in BIOS as 1300 ??? My PCMARK went down accordingly. Then one day, after another almost 2 weeks, I saw Windows reporting 12 GB !!??? WTF ? BIOS also !!!Flashed BIOS, reset cmos, etc - still 12 GB. Started swapping mem boards and slots, found that one of the pair was showing as 4GB / 1300 no matter what slot ( the other stayed at 8GB / 1600 as it should, in all slots tested ) both by itself and as part of the pair !Amazon is great as always, shipped the replacement out overnight, no charge. So I didn't have to go through Corsair's RMA wait times, and costs.Make sure to burn these in WELL ( linpak, P-95, etc ) in your first month ! I give them 4 stars here on the assumption that this was a fluke, they have a good rep.

Purchased two sets of these for a 32GB configuration. My mobo tried setting these as 11 CAS, which is wrong according to the packaging that says these are 9 CAS memory sticks. Thankfully for myself, I was able to manually set the sticks to 9-9-9-27, but these are capable of being dropped to 6-6-6-17 in some mobo situations where that may be necessary. I have pushed these to 1866Mhz as well, stable, but I don't like overclocking too many of my system components for the obvious downfalls that can come of doing such.As far as ram goes, these do what they should and have not had any RAM errors. I've long been a Corsair RAM user, because of cost versus productivity. These are middle of the way in cost vs.performance. Will they do what you need them to do? More than likely. Are there faster brands? Yes, of course, but you'll pay through the nose for those brands too.

I have previously purchased four other Corsair 4GB memory modules and they worked as expected. This particular group of 8GB modules has performed as expected also. I had a motherboard that would not recognize the 8GB modules in Channnel A, but that was the fault of the motherboard and shame on the manufacturer of the MB for a defective product. After replacing the motherboard my new system booted up without errors.I do not have any complaints about this brand of memory. I cannot say how fast they are compared to other brands, but my other 4GB Corsair Vegeance modules have been in use for about a year and still perform as new. Therefore I expect these 8GB modules to perform as well.I would give these five stars, but that would be misleading since I don't have another brand to benchmark them against. But I do recommend them based on price and reliability.

I'm so very happy I decided to go with this RAM. I'm a power user. At the time of this review I've got 20 tabs open in Chrome with 12 of them being pinned tabs that I leave open at all times and I'm streaming The Office on Netflix on a second monitor. I can't even notice that this many tabs are running all at one time. Everything is still opening at the click of a button and there is no lag when switching between windows, tabs or trying to do anything else.I'm usually running FileZilla, Excel and Photoshop in addition to all of these Chrome tabs and even then, it's flawless. It allows me to work at the quick speed I work at where I'm constantly switching between tabs and programs. The RAM has held up very well for over a year at this point and shows no signs of slowing down.

went from ddr2 2200 1 gig sticks x 4, to this, wow. running it in my new build asus sabertooth z77 & i7 3770. swtor's memory leaks ( yes leaks ) I laugh at thee now! With these bad boys my memory leak issues on swtor are a thing of the past, i mean they are still there, but with these 16gbs of memory it does not matter, 12 hour playing session, yes I took breaks to eat, but stayed in game, ran 2 operations, 1 flash point, and did alot of solo leveling on an alt, zoning, visited 5 different planets sometimes twice or thrice ( stupid run me around stupid quests ), not a single hiccup, not a single crash because of that "previously" annoying memory leak...ok well previously annoying to me :)

I have always used corsair memory without any problems and so when it came time to upgrade it was a no brainer for me to pick them again. This set of three sticks worked perfectly in my Asus P6T Deluxe V2 motherboard at the full 2000MHz when running at stock speeds. However when overclocking my PC they refused to work at 1914MHz which is odd but maybe more to do with the motherboard and it's age than this memory. At the moment I am running them at 1531MHz but have been able to speed up the timings to 9-9-9-26-1N.I also still have my old Corsair Airflow 2 Fan from a previous kit and was pleased to find that it fits over these modules perfectly, which was a nice surprise.
