I saw the Coolermaster Hyper T4 on HotUKDeals for £17.50 and leaped on it. Due to another reviewer's advice, I always intended to get a CM Hyper and attach two fans (in a push/pull configuration) for extra cooling potential.I grabbed a cheap (£5) CM fan to go along with this, which I was able to fit immediately as the Hyper T4 comes with a spare set of attachments so you can attach another regular 120mm case fan.Fitting was a tight squeeze! The 'height' from the motherboard was no problem and my RAM is suitably low profile with no pointless heat spreaders, but it was still tricky clipping-in to the bracket near the motherboard's heatsink (Asus Z87-A).Fitting itself is relatively straightforward, although steady hands and a fair bit of space is required. If at all possible (and especially if you have a small case) fitting the cooler to the mobo outside of the case is recommended. The fitting instructions are relatively clear, which is good as I wasn't able to find an instruction video for this model, only the Hyper 212 which is very different in terms of how it attaches.Once fitted, my intended purpose was overclocking and I'm pleased to report it works perfectly.I overclocked my (3.4Ghz at stock) Intel i5 4670K CPU to 4.2Ghz and during full load in [stress testing software] Prime95 the highest temp I've recorded is 56°c (it's about 24° idle) so a huge success for about £22.50 total spend. By comparison, overclocked and using the stock fan the temps hit up to a whopping 90°c before I quickly stopped the stress test. Even at stock and idle, the CPU temp was generally 35 - 40°cThis is a quality, well-packaged product that comes with lots of fittings and at a very cheap price. I would only recommend a single-fan configuration for people wanting to generally lower the temps in their PC build though. Like me, if you are planning to overclock you should add a second 120mm fan (very simple to do: screw clips to fan; attach clips to heatsink) with the arrows facing the same direction on either side of the heatsink (i.e. <--||||<-- ) for excellent cooling at a bargain price.

Easy to fit, not so high as the Hyper 212 Evo,which is why I purchased it. The base fittings are not so expensively engineered as the Evo with more plastic used but OK none the less. The heatpipes on the Evo I last fitted were not very neatly finished off and protruded unevenly, wasting valuable room in the case. The T4 was much more neatly finished and didn`t waste any space.I didn`t use the heatsink compound that came with it, but some OCZ stuff, and also made a proper job of spreading an even layer on the cpu not a dollop of the stuff in the middle, which I can`t believe is really adequate.I`m not overclocking anything but purchased this cooler because I hate the Intel push pin fixing.MyIntel G3258 idles at 25C and hardly touches 30 with general use which is incredible for any chip/cooler so would highly recommend this cooler, I`m sure it won`t disappoint anyone, even for overclocking.

Delivered to me 2 days before I thought it would arrive which was very good. The item was very well packaged. Instructions are good, but you must read them carefully. I found the installation quite straight forward for my FX 9370 as I am a computer engineer. But for someone else it might seem a bit intimidating as it is rather large. When screwing to the backplate be careful not to over tighten the mounting screws as this could damage the processor. It looks very smart and as my case zalman z11 plus also has red led fans it really does look the part. The fan's don't sound loud even when set to turbo. It is a good alternative to liquid cooling, but I wouldn't recommend it if you were overclocking (who does)enless your case is more cooling efficient, has a less powerful processor like an 8350 as the FX 9370 uses a lot more power or install more chassis fans. Enjoy.

Had trouble since moving my pc into a confined space, Athlon II 635 quad core always been fine on stock cooler but recently started to get some pretty scary temps, touched 100 degrees under load once or twice. Purchased this product as I've always liked cooler master stuff in the past. Easy to install and with a layer of arctic silver thermal paste cpu now idles at just 22 degrees Celsius and still haven't seen it go above 35 under load. You can also add an additional 120mm fan easily if required. My only hang-up is that you can only mount this cooler to socket AM3 based cpu's horizontally, due to the clip laying vertically at right angles to the heat pipes. If the heat-sink was vertical it would of lined up perfectly with the exhaust fan on my case, but other than that, excellent product at an even better price.

When it first arrived I was a little shocked at the size. (I guess I should have looked at the dimensions before I bought) and didn't think it was going to fit in my case. However it did fit with mere millimeters to spare. However because of the size I couldn't fix it in without completly taking apart my system and fixing it to the motherboard outside the case. If you dont mind doing this, or if you are starting from scratch then you should not have a problem, just be wary of the size as my case is slightly larger than average (antec 902) and it only just fit.As for performance I am very happy with this cooler as it keeps my cpu running maximum 45°C even when overclocked.I would definetlyrecommend this cooler for the price range.

The heatsink was easy enough to install onto the motherboard- the screws and bracket fit without a problem. If you use all four RAM slots on the board, be sure to install a low profile card on the slot underneath the sink (on an mATX board, not sure if this is a problem on larger boards); my old DDR 3 GSKILL RipjawsX fit in just fine. Didn’t do a temperature measurement, but the PC no longer freezes up when the system heats up, which was a problem that plagued my system when I had the stock Intel installed. Looks pretty cool too! Also came with a small stick of thermal paste, so I didn’t have to buy one to install it. Definitely worth the price.

After hearing horror stories about stock coolers for AMD CPUs and then seeing it for myself, i didn't even bother installing it.I ordered one of these straight away and put in my new build.AMD FX6300 3.2GHz CPU, 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD, 8GB corsair RAM (1 module)ASUS M5A97 R2.0 EVO Mobo. Not a great deal in the case at the moment and the case has two fans and I fitted an extra fan to the cooler. Currently getting case temps betwen 30 and 36C after running for a few hours, which I think is respectable. Haven't really put the machine under heavy load yet, but I think this fan will cope.

Huge cooler = lower temperatures.I got this fan because my temperatures for my CPU while overclocked to 4.5Ghz was intense, and my fan was extremely loud. When I got this, I swiftly installed it and holy cow! My temperatures are so much lower! If you're looking for a large, quiet, efficient fan, this is the fan for you.Just be careful though, it's huge... So huge in fact that I struggle to put on my case's side panel and it actually blocks 2 of my 4 RAM slots! Oh well, I'd rather have lower temperature than stupid amounts of RAM :D

Couldn't recommend the T4 enough. My i5 3570k, has gone from over 80 degrees C under load with a stock Intel cooler to never over 45. Wouldn't have dared overclock with my previous temps, but this has given me more than enough headroom. Plus, it's stayed so cool the fan has never hit full speed. Due to this, I can't wholly comment on noise levels, but what I've heard (or rather, not) is great. Very impressed. Fits perfectly in my Cooler Master K380, but it's still a tall heatsink, so check your dimensions first.

This fan is certainly worth it for the price. It is extremely quite even at high rpm and you have the option to add or replace the existing fans, thermal paste comes with it, all the brackets and instructions included, everything you'd expect and performance better than anything you'd expect. Just remember its for the wider case. Wouldn't recommend any micro-atx/itx cases for this fan. Even for larger cases your memory slots may be covered. Otherwise, amazing! :D

What a difference this has made to my pc - got this to replace stock fx 8150 heatsink / fan but found the fittings on my mobo were rectangular and not square as this is.Luckily I was able to use the fittings from my existing heatsink and I'm really impressed. It fits nicely into my zalman z11 case and I used the supplied brackets to fit another 120mm led fan push pull, runs quiet and at low temp.Comes with some thermal paste but I used some AC mx-4.

The Cooler Master Hyper T4 CPU cooler is an amazing item. I fitted it to my Gigabyte AM3+ motherboard and FX8320 CPU in about 10 minutes and the CPU now runs considerably cooler and much quieter than when it had the stock fan fitted (~30C idle and ~48C with Prime95). This model is great as it can be fitted to the AMD processors without the need to access the back of the motherboard making fitment much simpler. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent product ... Though I ordered from Amazon warehouse and the thermal paste on it had set really bad and it took me about 4 attempts before finally removing it all. After that my i7-4790k without over locking barely goes over 50 even at 100% load with sli gpu doing 3d video renders.Only con- this thing is HUGE!! Really difficult to get to the screws in my tower even with the tool provided.

I have a mid range tower, figured it would fit with ease. After mounting it to the motherboard (and the underside mount cracked)...I get it all put back together and the side will not fit back on my PC. I love the color and look of the product, noise level is minimum. My only cons to this is my lack of reading up on the dimensions and the mounting bracket that broke on me.

4.12.2019

I love the looks and it performs great. Not really anything to complain about. The noise is low, I dont even notice it, and it looks very great with my pc.Note: I took the panels off my pc cause I am cleaning the dust off and installing a new hhd. I have had this pc for 3 years, the this cooler is only about a year old along with the new CPU I purchased along with it.
