I have had this Hyper 103 Cooler for about 4-5 years now.So to begin by saying it has been very reliable and build quality is excellent, since the Hyper 103 cooler is working as well as the first day I started using it.One thing to note that this is a fairly well sized heatsink/Cooler and will need a case that can handle this sized cooler, not only for size but also to allow for access to the 4 screws. The heatsink base is a aluminium base with the copper piping directly exposed to the CPU for effecient heat transfer, one note is that the base is not glass smooth, this however has not had any notice negative effect.I bought this since I do not run my CPU's at stock, I never have.I have overclocked an FX-6300 and FX-8320 with this CM Hypewr 103 Cooler and it has handled the temperatures very well. The Cooler has had no problems with the FX-6300 even nudging the CPU over the 4Ghz mark. Now the FX-8320 runs a fair bit hotter once over 4Ghz and during a torture test the CPU is maintained at around 58C. Average daily running on the FX-8320 is between 25-30C and under gaming load it reaches around 40C.Due to this effecient heat dissipation the Cooler will generally run very quietly. The point is this is an excellent Cooler for its price, unless you plan on seriously pushing you CPU to the edge this will more than handle you CPU heat.

The Cooler Master Hyper 103 is a great, cheap CPU Fan. Priced at £19.99 (Purchased from Amazon Prime NOW app) it actually cools down my AMD Athlon 860K clocked at 4.3GHz as good as a Corsair Hydro Unit.First the CM Hyper 103 says it needs 158.5mm space to install, my PC case, an AEROCOOL VS-1 says I can only fit 155mm. I managed to fit this into my case with a lot of room left over, barely even near the PC case side.My temperatures on stock Athlon cooler were 48C Idle. I am now getting 22C Idle on this.Temperatures while gaming, FFXIV Ultra are stable at 33C using the CM Hyper 103.Stock temperatures were 65C while gaming.I think its fair to say this is a brilliant product.Make sure it fits into your case and also the Blue LED is pretty amazing. As for noise, I can't give specifics but it is noticable MUCH quieter than Athlon stock cooler. I can barely even hear this Cooler.Installation was super easy, took me 8 Minutes. You can find guides on Youtube for it but all screws and brackets are provided.Thermal paste tube is included! There you have it, if you need a CHEAP CPU cooler, get this. It fits just about every socket, including my Athlon 860K and even fits 2011-3 and 1151 socket now! amazing.Go buy it.Product page information:[...]

I am completely impressed by this cooler. It feels sturdy, the fixation system despite not being the easiest one to install (not too complicated though) is very realiable and, once installed, it looks neat, especially in MATX cases, where the space is somewhat limited. Its performance is also outstanding for the price. It lowered the temperatures of my CPU almost 15ºC comparing to the cheap stock cooler that I had (from 42ºC to 27º) and under load never went further than 68ºC. Taking in account that it cost less than £12 and that my build is a MATX form factor computer with a 95W processor, those are great temperatures. The only issue that I found is that the holes in the backplate for a 115X platform aren't the best.It is quite easy to put the screws through the wrong one. But nothing that you can't overcome with a bit of patience. If you are still using a stock cooler and you want something better for pocket money, go for it. You can go wrong with this model. Unless you have an AMD Wraith Spire or Prism, those are actually very decent coolers...

First look at the contents made me think I'd probably just put this in a drawer somewhere and fit it at a (much) later date, however, after a little persistence with the rubbish diagrams it became obvious that I could throw pretty much half of them in the bin, which I did. After that it was a lot easier to fit the backplate, though be warned, you do definitely need access to the back of the motherboard (I had to take mine out completely).I put the cooler on an i7-2600K in a normal sized tower case with a Radeon HD7870 barely 3 centimetres away from it and I have to say I am amazed. It idles at around 25 degrees centigrade and hasn't gone above 55 degrees even on prime95. It's also very quiet.I have no idea how this seems to be cooling way better than my water cooling system on my other games machine, which goes up to 60 degrees! Can't find a fault so five stars, amazing given it was only twenty squids!

When this cooler arrived the first thing a did was give the instructions a once over. Then i proceeded to check the contents, everything was there EXCEPT one screw. After looking over the instructions a little longer i realised that the missing screw was in fact a tool used to tighten up the nuts on the underside of the motherboard. You do NOT need this tool (you can simple use a socket and finger tighten the nuts). And I'm guessing they decided to remove it to cut cost, but they should have also reprinted the contents to reflect this. The cooler itself is very good once fitted and didn't take too long to install. My CPU temps have dropped a lot compared to the stock AMD cooler i had before, although the fan is a little loud at 100%. Would recommend downloading a program such as speed fan to lower it to 90% when idling as it become's a lot quieter.

I give this CPU cooler 5 stars. this is because it's a genuinely brilliant product and fairly simple and straightforward to use. don't let these 1 star reviews get you down by saying that it took 1+ hours to install. I, myself with little experience on mounting CPU coolers did it in about 20 mins with no issues and that says A LOT. Anyone with about half a brain can use this to the fullest if you read and follow the included user manual. With my stock AMD fx 6300 stock cooler, I would idle at around 35°C and at full load get around 65°C.With the CM hyper 103, I get around 16°C (which is like room temp) and at full load, get around 35°C.(Although,more audible than the stock cooler)This is with no changes to the CPU fan curve for both coolers. It sits just perfectly in my microATX CIT case and also helps with cooling the motherboard. I love it

I used this to replace a weird looking Akasa something or other on my Intel Core 2 Duo socket 775 (yes, remember them?!) which has been providing reliable service since I built the PC back in 2007! Fitting would have been simple but for the fact that my motherboard (Gigabyte 965P-DQ6) has a fancy copper heatsink on the back, behind the CPU socket. I had to do a little grinding of that with the Dremel to ensure the fan's rear bracket sat flush. With that sorted, I dabbed a bit of MX4 paste on the CPU and installed the fan without any difficulty. The fan and heatsink are rather large and only just fit inside my mid-ATX case. As for operation, I cannot hear the fan at all and it's brought my CPU temps down a full 20 degrees at full chat.I'd buy this again without any hesitation.

Found one of these in maplin for under £20 so thought I would give it a try. It fits in my micro atx case with about an inch to spare. It's actually smaller than I was expecting. It's abit fiddly to fit the brackets to Mobo. Had to take Mobo out cos couldn't access the back. Overall it's a great cooler and looks awsum. That's why I am buying another one today from amazon to fit on my 4 core system. My pc now runs 20 degree c cooler than it did. It's idle at about 43 and around 60 under strain. I use a amd apu so the processor is working harder than a cpu. So I'm happy with the readings. I haven't tried with games yet. Also comes with Decent cooler master thermal paste.Very clever brackets which can be used for both amd and intel. My Mobo is fm2 socket.

I bought this from PC World... but i can't say i have been disappointed. I bought this cooler as i purchased a used cpu (i5 6500) and it didn't come with the stock intel cooler. It served its purpose well staying quiet and idling at around 18-20 degrees celsius. Later I purchased a z170 motherboard to take advantage of BCLK overclocking and managed to hit 4.2Ghz easily at 1.2v with this cooler never surpassing 53 degrees celsius in a 3 hour prime95 stress test. the computer is still nice and quiet and i am sure i would hit 4.5 on this system with a 65-70 max temp during stress test. I am however going to purchase an aio now, purely for aesthetic purposes. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

Got this as a replacement for my stock cooler on an Intel LG1150. I'm really impressed with the performance, around 30 idle and 55 under heavy load. The fan's incredibly quiet, and the noise reduction is probably the biggest benefit I've had so far.One thing worth noting is this isn't an easy install. You need to mount a bracket on the back of your motherboard. If your case doesn't give you access, that means a disassembly to get the motherboard out.Thankfully, this is properly secured. You're using metal screws and nuts, not those terrible plastic push pins that never seem to really lock in place. I'm confident it's in there nice and tight.

This cooler is slightly smaller than the other ones, which meant it fitted inside my PC case without touching any other components. Even still, it takes up a lot of space, but as the most important component, it should do.Importantly, it keeps my CPU very cool by about -10 to -15 degrees Celsius of what my stock cooler was doing. It's also very very quiet! And, has a nice blue LED colour light. Excellent product, and it doesn't get louder even when playing The Witcher 3 with a 2GB nVidia GT 750M on 1080p HD.PS. So far so good. Replaced my older water cooler with this as I wanted a cleaner look in a new Lian-Li pc-90 case (couldn't stand the rigid pipes from the W/C). I must say it looks great and temperatures are hardly any different (25 on idle). I'm not an overclocker so couldn't comment on it's use for that, but aesthetically it's clean and nice solid piece of kit! Absolutely no problems for £20!! Definitely worth it, I wouldn't say it's massive either, just bigger than any stock cooler.

Excellent heat-sink and fan combo, runs much quieter than the standard Intel cooler and keeps the CPU temps down. Before using this on an app that does some serious processing I had to set the app to only use 40% of CPU time, even then CPU temps were hitting 72 degrees which is the recommended max temp for my processor. Now I can run the same app at 100% CPU time and the maximum CPU temp is 59 degrees and that's on a much hotter day! Can't ask for more, especially at this price.

Well made, the fan is made of strong plastic, unlike some that are made thin and cheap plastic and comes with thermal paste which is a bonus. Fitting can be a bit difficult depending on your motherboard but anyone with a bit of knowledge can fit it, wouldn't recommend for novice as it might involve removal of the motherboard. Once fitted preforms well and temperatures are slightly lower than I expected them to be. Would buy again.

Installed with no problem, it's so much quieter than my stock AMD cooler it's unbelievable. When I used to play more demanding games, or sometimes even on warmer days, my stock cooler would go crazy. With the Cooler Master Hyper 103 that is no longer a problem. Even on hot days it stays very quiet and keeps my CPU at a very healthy temperature. A huge upgrade for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this product.
