Cooling: I recently built a computer with an Intel i7 10700 (unclockable) 10th Gen 2.9Ghz on a new Asus z490 Motherboard and used the stock fan at first. Running Prime95 would turbo the clock speed to 4.7Ghz whilst I saw temperatures rapidly rise, around 5 seconds after it would already be at 85 degrees and climbing and therefore instantly be throttled back to the TDP of 65W and a clock speed of 3.5Ghz. By using this CPU fan it instantly dropped my idle temperature from 38 degrees to 28 degrees C. Despite my CPU being locked you can still change the TDP in the bios to a higher value as this is actually controlled by the motherboard, not the CPU. Changing the TDP from 65W to 130W (the fan is rated to 150W I believe)meant that now my CPU can run at max turbo 4.6-4.7Ghz on all cores for a substantial time (I tested using Prime95 for 20mins and it sat at max 75 degrees C). This is a substantial speed increase for such a low cost.Size: The cooler is very large and has a 12cm fan. It fit into my case (link below) with millimeters to spare. (41.6 x 18 x 42.1 centimeters) Remember to factor in the offset of the motherboard from the edge of the case and also the height of the CPU above the Motherboard. This cooler fits onto LGA1200 sockets.https://www.amazon.co.uk/CiT-Gaming-Mid-Tower-Cooling-Looking/dp/B07V4M5F7R/ref=sr_1_18?dchild=1&keywords=cit+case&qid=1611338425&sr=8-18Sound: I run the CPU fan at minimum speed most of the time accompanied by only 1 exhaust fan and my PC is virtually silent, almost to the point that I check that the fan is still actually running and hasn't just stopped. Even at 100% it is still not that noisy, a huge improvement compared to the intel stock fan.Fan: The RGB fan works at 5V despite being a 12V meaning I could hook it up to my existing case lights controller and have them all controlled in unison. It works but at the cost of lower brightness.Overall for the substantial performance gain and clean modern aesthetics this cooler is worth every penny and makes your pc look super cool.

A nice looking cpu cooler that performs well, is quiet, and at a reasonable price? Yep, this is the one.It easily handled an I7-9700k at maximum load and stayed below 68°C.Personally the extra I paid for it to be black and have a Rgb fan was worth it.The Cpu cooler includes mounts for both Intel and AMD sockets, and they are solidly in place. There is also a free small tube of thermal paste included, but I had better quality thermal paste on hand already.I had some trouble trying to connect it with my other rgb synced parts, I found out in the end that the motherboard needed to also support it, unfortunately I had a gigabyte motherboard. It would have worked with my msi graphics card or my corsair keyboard, but in the end I used the included rgb controller. It wasn't bad though, it had many different settings to play around with, even a rainbow swirl that everyone has become accustomed to.In conclusion, it's a very nice Cpu cooler, would probably compete quite well against the noctua NH-U12S at a lower price, but I'm not in a position to make comparisons.

I bought this to replace the stock stealth cooler for my Ryzen 5600x. Noticed CPU temps getting up to and a little over 80°C playing cyberpunk 2077. This is fine I guess since the thermal limit is 95° or thereabouts. But not good enough for me. After installing this the highest CPU temp I've seen playing the same game, at the same settings, is 61°C. So overall a -20°C reduction in CPU temps.I should add I have a second 120mm fan attached in push/pull configuration. I had to take one of my side case fans off to fit this beast of a cooler in my case so I had it spare or I wouldn't have bothered.Installation is a little tricky, but manageable if you can follow the picture instructions.Hardest part is screwing the cooler brace into the standoffs. You really need to push the screw down into the standoff. After the first 2 are screwed down a little it's easier.I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a better solution than stock coolers at a decent price for the performance.

"Universal fitting" is simply not true. Similar to a few other reviews here, I have a very standard AM3+ fitting for an AMD FX-8350 CPU. Despite the various brackets supplied in the box, the heat-sink mounting screws were 1-2 mm away from making contact with the supplied Motherboard standoffs. After a lot of head scratching and close to giving up, I made it work by half screwing the stand-offs to the heat-sink first, and then making contact with the Mobo screws. I then carefully screwed each mounting into the Mobo quarter-turn at a time until it eventually mounted firmly and securely. Not ideal! However, performance wise you're getting a lot for the price. The cooling performance is superior compared to the stock fan from my CPU,and incredibly quiet (hence 4 star review).I was very annoyed about the mounting issue, but the performance makes up for it.. just!AM3+ buyers: beware!

Looks good in the case, is providing good thermal performance from my Ryzen 7 2700 overclocked to 4.2GHz.It's huge though, using in a Thermaltake Level 20 MT case, there is only 13mm clearance to the glass side panel.I like the fan mounting system being clip on making it easier to fit, still a bit fiddly but easier than some other, more expensive, coolers. You get a spare fan bracket kit to add a push/pull system if you want, I did this adding a Coolermaster ML120 RGB fan.Noise wise, it's quiet under low to moderate load, when it's loaded heavier it does become audible, but you expect that when the fan ramps up. But it's quieter than my old 120mm AIO.I think the mounting bracket could be improved to feel less flimsy, but the screw post retainer clips are a good idea to hold the screws in place while you mount and secure the heatsink.

I've used the 212 Evo for years, installed it dozens of times. The 212 Black is worth the extra tenner, though, if you are working with a side window case, as it just looks SO much better. The RGB LEDs are fantastic, too. I'm not an RGB lover, but even I had to admit it looks really good.Only four stars though because the 'remote' for the RGB is actually an in-line remote on a fairly short cable, so really the only place you can have it is under your right side panel (inconvenient) or dangling around in the case (ugly). It's very impractical to take off a side panel to change RGB, but the cable isn't long enough to route the remote out of the back of the case. Other than that, it's brilliant, and I'd still recommend it.

It has been a long time since I have built a pc, 7+ years. Instructions were ok, but there are many youtube channels for guides. The one thing that scared me when installing the metal standoffs/bolts to screw the cooler into, when screwing them in the motherboard they came very close to the copper lines on the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite. It looks great. RGB is ok; although set to white it does have a hint of blue (see pic).Installed on a 3700x. Using Ryzen master to view temperature it is saying 37C, that's with a lot of Firefox windows open, Football Manager 2019 running, Steam, Discord, Uplay so cpu is using quite a bit of power. When viewing the cpu temp on Gigabyte's software it shows 45C.

Very decent cooler. I found the install process a little finicky, but once on, it feels very secure. Temps are extremely good in my Meshifiy C, with the fan rarely ramping up to audible levels, even when gaming at 4k resolution. The RGB on the supplied fan is quite weak and when paired with my Corsair Vengeance RAM sticks, they kind of overpowered the lights from the fan. I'd probably suggest, buying the non RGB version and spending the extra money on a decent RGB fan instead. All in all, a very decent cooler for the price that will be better than any of the standard coolers that Cole suppliee with Ryzen CPU's and if you're not overclocking it'll do the job.

now this is in my own personal option the rgb is less that expectedthe cooler is nice keeps my cpu cool and the cooler its self looks grate but the rbg is proper lacking in anything special the control uses 4 pin molex like really come on cooler master its 2021 so i had to buy an addional part to get it to work from sata power if you dont have a rbg header on you mobo then you are stuck using the controllerfor some unknown resion the header plug is 4 pin so wont connect to my existing cooler master argb controller to say the least save your selfs some money and get one with out rgb or just a different one with argb

Great cooler for mid-range CPU's. I'm using mine with a AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (65 watts) and it keeps it cool at around 60-65 degrees while gaming. During benchmarks or intensive CPU work, it hits about 78 degrees max. Your mileage may vary depending on CPU and case airflow. I have my CPU with an all core overclock of 4.2Ghz so very impressed with the performance. The black RBG edition looks great matched with a black motherboard/gpu. Was easy to install as the instructions aren't half bad for a cooler (I've had some awful guides before that would give ikea a run for their money). For £20-£25 this cooler is a bargain.

Was stuck between this and Dark rock 4 slim, But would recommend this lower price for same performance i got this for £36! I couldn't find any information on the RAM clearances but fits with my Corsair vengeance RGB which i think the the highest profile RAM there is. (had to remove 3 dimms of RAM to get the right hand fan on but can slot back in once fan is on tight fit but it fits)I replaced the fan with Corsair 120 ML Pro and added a further one to the left, Keeps a ryzen 3600 extremely cool with plenty of room for overclocking. Comes with AMD/Intel mounting.Would recommend!

7.9.2020

Bit tricky to install, had a few problems as the AMD brackets that screw in to the motherboard are slighlty curved and I had them in the wrong way round so they would not reach the mounting holes, it's not entirely obvious from the instructions that this is the case, once I had them switched round though it fitted very easy.Temps have dropped 20 degrees on my Ryzen 2700 under load, was hoping for imprevement but really impressed, basically silent when idle or not gaming. RGB also looks great.Really pleased with this purchase.

3.12.2019

The difference between the stock Wraith Spire cooler and this is night and day.Ryzen R5 2600x @ 1.3V 4.0 GHzWraith: Idle = 31-33°C100% load (Prime 95) = 83-85°CCM 212: Idle = 21-22°C100% load (Prime 95) = 58-61°C.Difference is fantastic, and the CM212 is much quieter, with the fan speed increase at load being a lot more subtle than the stock cooler. Mounting was a bit tricky, probably due to this being the first aftermarket cooler I've used, but it was fine once I got it. Would highly recommend.

Bought to replace an Intel stock cooler. Check that it will fit in your PC first! It's big and only just fits in mine. It's a universal fitting unit so comes with quite a few bits. The instructions are largely pictorial and were clear enough for me to be able to determine what bits to use for my PC and I had it fitted within 20 minutes. What's not clear is how to connect up the LED in the fan. I've had to leave it not connected so unfortunately I can't comment on its brightness or colour.

Cooler is very easy to install taking only 8 minutes for me, and that was the first cooler I have ever installed. All the way revved up I cannot hear the fans inside my h500i case. Lights look good but most importantly it cools very well! My ryzen 5 2600 can now be overclocked to 4.1 ghz and whilst gaming on overwatch at 1440p it reached a max temp of 58° which is very impressive. The black gunmetal finish looks amazing and RAM has plenty of clearance in all 4 slots from the cooler!
