This fishing kit (two rods) is solid wood and plastic and has to be the most sturdy fishing rod I have seen for in an around $25!Helps your child fine tune their motor skills as getting the magnet to attach on the fish take a little precision. You child will also learn numbers as the kit includes a spin dial. Spin the dial, numbered 1-5, and your have to catch the fish with that number on it.Included bag is great, acts as water for the fish as well as a spot to clean everything up!Very small issue but the fishing rod does not really reel in much, you get about 2 feet worth of string and can reel in about a foot and reason I say small is my son could care less!

Bought this for my 2 and half year old and she loves it.She spends such a long time playing it, more than she normally does with a toy as gets bored easy! It is quite addictive and it's great for learning colours as the fish are different colours so you can say catch a "red" one etc. Really easy to use for them and really well made.Excellent quality and as always with Melissa & Doug it is worth the money as it will last! Very happy

My 4 year old loves this fishing game. Good quality wooden toy made to last. Comes with 2 rods, spinner and 10 wooden fish brightly coloured and numbered and a blue mesh net to store everything in when your finished. There is a list of learning activities you can play with the fishing game making playtime longer and interesting.

Very well-designed high-quality educational game for children older than 3. Children have fun and the same time develop fine motor skills and of course they learn to be patient and play fair. Also with some guidance they learn colours, numbers, counting, addition, subtraction etc. It could be cheaper though!

Really nice product. Comes with two fishing rods and brightly coloured fish with numbers on also a blue mesh net.Easy to use although rods can be alittle tricky for little hands, but great fun .Can help to learn with numbers and colours.Good quality!Would recommend this product.

This is a great game, it uses numbers and colours in a fun and educational tool.We bought it for our 3 year old son for Christmas and it's been wonderful to use this game which he enjoys playing to also help him reckons numbers 1-5 and 5 different colours as well.

Love the Melissa and Doug toys. Always well made and fun. The kids love trying to fish for anything that will stick to the magnet in my house! My only comment would be to please make the fishing rods identical so they kids don't fight over who gets which colour!

This is such a beautiful game. Its so tactile, smooth, colourful & educational. My 3 year old grand daughter loves playing it. The rods have a reel to wind the fish in which is a lovely touch. Very well made. It arrive on time & well packaged. An absolute joy.

Its very good quality looks like it will last a long time ..my two year old son loves catching the fish hes to little play the game yet but just loves catchibg them with the rod you won't be disappointed with this :)

Beautifully made. My 2 yr loves it, only gripe is it's left handed - which is great - but we're not lefties). Hold with your left and wind with your right ... otherwise it is a lovely educational toy/game.

Lovely toys. However, both rods broke within the first day of opening, pretty much as they were taken out of the packet! (Red/White plastic part separated on both rods and needed glued back together.)

A little overpriced but arrived in good time and was well packaged. Not used yet as bought for Christmas, but should hold the interest of my two young grand-daughters, hopefully for 30 minutes or so.

A great toy. This comes with two rods so is perfect for my two kids. Using the reel gets the hand eye co-ordination going. Sturdy and colourful. Another great toy from melissa and doug.

My two years old daughter got excited about her new game, she likes to hold a rod and catch a fish. It is also a good educational game teaching colours and numbers when she will grow a bit

This fishing game was bought for my granddaughter for Christmas and she still gets it out everyday now. She had loads of presents and this was by far the most liked and played with.
