I bought these for my daughter to use in the school with the children where she works. Her class from last term had the same ones but unfortunately that set stayed with the younger class and now these will be for the new class to play with. They are great for teaching children numbers and relating the number of items on the opposite piece of the puzzle to the number shown. They are a convenient size to easily be able to see the amount of objects to be able to count them easily. The colours are all bright and the two pieces to each puzzle is easy for young children to place together. The actual dimensions are:19.3 x 8.8 x 14.2 cmThese are great number recognition as well as object recognition. This can encourage children's curiosity in the names of animals and some of the other objects on the cards (rockets, umbrellas and bananas).I have added photographs.

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter. She's been counting for a while and starting to recognise numbers. She's played this 3 times and already recognised most of the numbers up to 10. The part I like most is the ease you can separate the lower numbers (1-10) from the higher numbers, on the back of the cards one set is a dark blue and the other is white. The cardboard is strong and has some sort of coating which makes it very durable. We have several of the orchard toys games and I really love them, they are fun for the children and a great way of teaching. My daughter's nursery has some of them too and they are a bit hit there.

Bought for my 3 year old to help her basic understanding of numbers as she is missing out not yet attending preschool and being stuck at home. So far she enjoys matching the numbers up to 10. The numbered half matches the colour of the I her half so the child learns by matching the colours as well as eventually recognising the number symbols and by counting the creatures on each piece. I’d recommend any Orchard Toys product for their thickness and durability.

My little girl has difficulty recognising colours, which is why I ordered this game, and I must say that I was not disappointed. The back of each card is colour coded, which means you can use the cards for a variety of educational games - clustering cards looking at the colours on the back of the cards, prior to turning them all over and doing each jigsaw. Really excellent game and highly recommended! Excellent value for money too!!

A different way to recognise numbers, colours and different animals. My grand daughters is good at 1 -10 and can count to 20 but sometimes counts a little quickly and skips a couple if pointing at things. So the fall back option of matching colours helps when tired. It is also good to explain what the 2 digits looks like as she is more used to recognising single numbers. She is not four yet so the first attempt was very good.

Bought this for my 2 year old as a bit of a challenge. He really loves the jigsaws... There are so many colours that we tend to do 3 or 4 at a time and they have helped loads with color recognition. You don't even have to do them as 5-piece jigsaws to begin with, as they all have the same shaped cuts. Pieces are easy to fit together and pretty solid, in a decent box. Would recommend.

Many thanks - a wonderful educational game! Bought this for my four-year old granddaughter who's just started school - thought it might help her with learning numbers. Really good fun and has greatly improved her counting skills - we now have to play this game every time she visits and she's incredibly fast at counting the different images and matching up the pieces.

I bought this for my grandson when he was 18 months, he loved it immediately and it's the first thing he goes for when he comes to my house. Now at 21 months he can do all the puzzles, name the colours and all of the pictures. He picks out the pieces of one colour and then does the puzzle, then moves on to another colour, and so on. It's an educational gem!

Great way to learn how to count and also learn name of the animals on the cards. Daughter is 2,5 so can’t quite count, but helps her practice. She’s getting that the colours match now, and even if it makes it easier and means she doesn’t need to count to match them, it’s one step closer to counting. Fun, interactive game that I don’t mind playing with her!

This is a simple and easy puzzle to play & learn numbers by counting the items and matching them with numbers. My son loves to count the cards and match them with numbers. This just to prove traditional toys like this is still the best when comes to learning the basic skills. I am impressed with the excellent/ durable card quality as well.

A very simple idea- match the picture to the number. Only the correct picture fits with the number. My daughter loves it- she tends to match the colours at the moment as she is too young to count but the pictures provide opportunity for talking to her.The pieces are great quality and durable and fit for purpose.

its so good I use it with my 2 and half years old daughter she likes sorting the colours and naming it also as Im a teacher I use it when I teach the children the colour good for age 1 and half to 7. as you can use it as a language by naming the objects to the children and encourage them to put it in a sentence.

Purchased the jigsaw for my class, the children love playing with the jigsaw. The jigsaw pieces are bright and colourful and the objects can easily be counted as there are not too close together. The numbers are clear for the children to recognise.Came in a nice strong box which after a year is still intact.

Toddler loves it, says from age 3 but got it when my son was about 18 months and he could still enjoy it I just have him some of the pieces, now he's 21 months and loves doing the whole thing and naming the pictures. Definitely would recommend. Watch out though, easily damaged from chewing!

This is fab! Helps our little chap recognise colours, do colour association, learn about animals and food and also it's a jigsaw! I hadn't realised that you can't actually put the wrong colours together, each groove is different which I think was very clever and helpful for the little ones.
