In good Lacanian style, I spend an inordinate amount of time trying to find 'the one'; sunglasses; jackets; baseball caps. I have been doing this for years. A psychoanalyst may be able to suggest a few reasons why but then again that's a minefield. Anyway. I have bought literally dozens of caps over the years. In 2017 I bought an Oakley cap from eBay, I kind of sensed it was a rip-off. But it was the closest I had come to 'The One Cap'! I wore it everyday and it grew to be my friend. It faded and what not and even though I knew it was not 'The One', it was good enough. There is something to be learned there. Anyway. Last weekend it fell off while I was in a canoe on a lake and it was so windy I could not manoeuvre the canoe to rescue it.

There are daft options for rating products on Amazon. How can one grade a product across 5 options, when 2 of which are so polarised they are almost (and usually) pointless.Anyway, minor grumble aside, I rate this 4.5 stars. It's more than like, but not love. I like my friends, some more than others; I love my wife...see the problem?The cap arrived sooner than anticipated. It has a lovely soft feel to it and the band lining the front of the cap soaks up the sweat a treat. For my head, it feels like it sits more on top, rather than covering my head, down to my ears, but I like that fit. It feels snug enough, without being too tight. It's easy to adjust and the peak is long enough to be a shade,

I am a baseball cap lover...the unstructured variety! I have all colors. I have long hair and very fair complected and living in the sunny climes requires covering. I have larger head than most female caps fit so I generally purchase unisex or men's caps. This Carhartt cap looks and fits just great and I purchased 2 of them (green and blue) and am really happy with the look and fit. They are not the thin variety, being very substantial cotton (I have all varieties) and they look great with a pony tail or hair down. I had to laugh when my husband said when I went out with my vest of the same army green and the green cap that I could pass for a forest ranger!

I bought the Army Green color cap as a gift for a friend, and I later purchased the Black color one for myself. This Carhartt cap is a very nice adjustable cotton cap. It fits just as expected for me. It fits similar to a low-crown clean-up or slouch cap. The Carhartt logo is a square leather piece that is sewn onto the front of the cap. It has a velcro adjustable flap on back with the Carhartt name logo embroidered on the cloth of the flap. It is 100% cotton, and it is Made in China. The cap is light in weight. I love the quality and fit of this cap, and I recommend it to those that are looking for a lightweight low-crown clean-up or slouch style cap.

I never thought I’d like a hat so much. It’s perfect for the job site, or hanging out at the beach or golfing or lifting or or or... I love this hat.I have a relatively medium sized head, but I sometimes have the problem where a new hat hits my ears when it sits all the way down on my head. This fits perfectly. Just above the ear (the section where your ear connects to your noggin) and the adjustable aspect is spot on.The “sweatband” is great for keeping sweat out of my eyes when I’m on the job site.It looks like I’ll be getting another in the future.Note: I haven’t tried washing it yet. I’ll leave an edit if my washing machine kills it.

Finally found the best fitting cap. I'm not really a hat kind of guy, but they are required at work now, so the hunt began for best fit and look. I tried many brand and types from free to expensive. These have quality construction and the fit is just right with a "broken in" feel from when you first put it on. The hook and loop adjustment strap makes for a perfect fit and holds a nice straight line with a good looking, understated Carhartt logo. I liked it so much I bought the other colors and some of their other styles.

Nice hat. The color is good, material feels tough, as you'd expect from Carhartt. I like that it isn't too deep a hat. Fits like hats used to, not like these modern hats that basically ride on your ears rather than your head. My only qualm is that this is made in China. I can deal with the fact that much of Carhartt's gear is made in Mexico, but it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth knowing that anything from them is made in China. Nice product overall but I'd happily pay $25 for it if they'd just make it here....

I was trying to find a nice cap for my adult son but everything seemed flimsy and would only sit on top of his head. Then I came across the Carrhartt cap on Amazon and thought I would give it a try. He already has some of the men's t-shirts by Carrhartt and they are really nice and thick. I ordered the cap and it fit him perfectly. He liked the style and is happy with the fit. I also thought the cap was sturdy and well constructed. Great hat! We will more than likely order more in different colors.

I love this hat! I have lots of them and some become my go-to caps for most occasions, but this one has moved right to top of the favorites list. As with any other Carhartt goods I have, it's well made, will take a beating, and it looks great. One thing though, of all my caps, this one is by far the heaviest. In cool weather, that suits me fine, but in hot weather it gets a bit uncomfortable, like a heater on my head. Fortunately, here on the Oregon Coast, it works fine most of the time.

I love the weathered finish to the hat... a bit rustic. It doesn't feel blocky over/undersized... If I could give one negative, it would be the velcro... velcro breaks down over time. So you'll end up having to stick the adjustment piece together when it breaks down overtime.Another negative is the seams are a little unsymmetrical and the bulb at the top is off center. Overall, still very happy with that hat. It fits well, the price is right and the materials are pretty good overall.

Genuine Carhartt cap.Once again,just to many fakes out there but believe I have recived a genuine item.It feels a quality item,thick cotton fabric,outside logo stitched in correct position,correct adjustable strap at back of cap,correct wicking material in side cap(wicking band does its job),correct branded label,one size fits all statement is correct.In all a fair price paid for genuine quality item that feels it is going to last for years to come.Will use seller again soon.Thankyou.

I have a gargantuan noggin. It's a family trait to have big heads in my family. Last I checked I am a 7-3/4 or larger hat size depending on the manufacturer. This hat adjusted enough to fit my massive cranium leaving about 1-1/2" of Velcro attached at the back and would likely pinch up to fit someone with a much smaller noggin as well. It's comfortable, but will likely be a tad warm on hot days. Not a lot of ventilation. It's well made and if I lose this one I will buy it again.

Another great Carhartt product.The cap is very lightweight. The fabric breathes, keeping your head a little more cool than other fabric hats. The built-in sweatband is a nice feature to help keep sweat from your eyes. On a really hot day, you’ll be wiping sweat away—it’s not a miracle working hat. Finally, the fabric has a little bit of sheen to it. Flying grass pieces in the air don’t seem to cling to it like my former work cap.Having said all that, I give it five stars.

Decided to buy this for my son as a small gift for Father's Day, or for him, "Uncle's Day". Being so inexpensive, I was actually surprised by how much he liked it?! It fit him well and the color was perfect on him (Something I suppose a Mom would notice?). He indicated he would be taking it to Spain with him (If restrictions are lifted?!). My only thought was the bill seemed particularly stiff. Not sure if it will hold up to being folded and crammed into a backpack?
