I'm returning to road cycling after many years away from the sport. Thought this might be helpful to provide my comparison of these 2 bottles which were competing for a space in my bicycle cages. First off, either bottle will work well and I had to get into the weeds to determine my personal preference. However, if you really like the 'design' or color of one vs the other, go for it.. after all it's just a water bottle. Having said that... SIZE: they are almost identical in both height and diameter with no noticeable difference. The both fit well into standard bicycle cages. However, I do feel that the CamelBak does enter / exit my Bontrager cages a 'tad' bit smoother than the Polar. Not a discernible difference. WEIGHT: For you weight weenies out there... The CamelBak weighs 128 grams empty; 828 grams full. Polar weights 147 grams empty; 831 grams full. What's interesting to note, is that when full, the CamelBak weighs less while having 16 grams (about 1/2 oz) of water more than the Polar.LIDS: The biggest difference to me is the how the lids are constructed. The Polar has the traditional 'pop up / push down' sipper on it which everyone is used to and it's easy to open with your teeth while cycling if you forgot to open it prior to hitting the road. It also has the normal 'shot of water' feel in your mouth when you squeeze the bottle for a drink. The CamelBak has a type of dial / twist feature to open and close the bottle. It's impossible to do with your mouth and near impossible to do with one hand while cycle. So be sure to open it before hitting the road. However when you squeeze the bottle for a drink, the CamelBak has a very 'pleasing' forceful spray of water in your mouth that just feels refreshing. I really like this spray effect of the CamelBak. Tip. if you find the perfect Polar style and that matches your bike perfect, no worries, just buy a CamelBak bottle lid and it will easily fit on your Polar. Both caps fit interchangeably with each bottle. LOOK: Online, I was really drawn to to all the cool designs of the Polar bottles. In person, i think the CamelBak, to me, looks more 'serious', whereas the Polar to me looks more 'playful'. FEEL: Very subjective and I think it also depends on what you're using it for. The Polar is actually easier to hold on to for two reasons.. it has a noticeable indentation for your thumb that makes it hug better in your hand. It also comes with a plastic loop that connect just under the lid. The CamelBak feels good in my hand, even without the two benefits of the Polar. But if I were to accidentally mishandle a bottle while riding and drop it, it would likely be the CambelBak. Tip.. the loop will also fit on the CambelBak and fully interchangeable between the two. TASTE: The water in both tastes great and no strong 'plastic' flavor that you get from cheap bottles. CONCLUSION: Again, either bottle will work fine and I don't have a problem recommending both. However, I keep both bottles pre-filled with filtered watered in my fridge so they're ready to go when hitting my bike or Pelaton. I find myelf always reaching for the CamelBak. I do like it better, I like the feel of the bottle, i like the clean look of the bottle, it slides nicely in and out of my bike cages and I LOVE the stream of water it provides when drinking. CamelBak is my go-to bottle and I now have 3 of them in different sizes depending on how many miles I ride. When me and my wife walk the trails with our dog, I always take the Polar because it's just a lot easier to carry when walking with the large thumb indent and carrying loop. Cheers!

I use a couple of these for long bike rides. The spout doesn't give out like the Polar Bottle's do, so in terms of quality, I think the spouts are better on the CamelBak. I miss the hook that comes on the Polar bottles to pull it out of the water bottle cages and miss the Polar Bottle's designs. I felt this bottle was easy to squeeze when needed which is also nice.

Got one for my daughter and husband who are cyclist. They both love the insulation it provides for them while riding vs other plastic water bottles that get warm really fast if in direct sunlight as when you're riding a bicycle. Keeps water cold for their entire ride (they ride about 2hrs- 3hrs.)

I did not find the water stayed cooler for much longer than a traditional bottle. I also found the locking knob and bit too tight to twist easily.I would probably still buy this bottle because even if it gives me an extra 10 minutes of cold water, it has some value.

Very good drums, but the color is somewhat duller than in the photos. It is not a functional problem, but I was hoping that they would hit my bike and they did not. The rest are perfect, they keep the water hot and a good jet comes out.

I’m in love with the water bottle. The colour is beautiful, the quality is amazing, and it’s so practical! It’s never leaked even when in the “open position, it’s easy to squish to get water out, and it’s the perfect size!

Functionality-wise, it's great! Very happy with it.I purchased the "600 red" - don't be fooled. Its very pink. Nothing red about it. I would not have bought it had I have known how baby pink it would be.

Perfect size, it fit my bottle cage and bike frame just right. I had previously bought a 750ml bottle from another brand and it was too large for my bike frame (size S). The insulation is great as well.

Very good product that holds the temperature of the water well, both in winter that makes it not too cold and in summer that keeps it cool and does not heat as in a normal drum. 100% recommended

Bought a pair of these insulated bottles after suffering with warm water on long rides. They work really well. They do not leak and the lock works. The valve is positive and easy to take a sip.

I like the bottle for volume, ease of drinking, and insulation. It fits a standard bottle cage for the bike. I’m not thrilled by the price, but the quality and features balance that dislike.

I am an avid cyclist, and these are the best bottles ever! They don’t leak and water flows easily through them. I’ll never go back to the normal water bottles after using these

The operation is perfect. The only problem is that it is not like the one in the photo, that just for aesthetics it was the one I wanted. What I have received is white

Love this water bottle. It really does not keep water any colder than a regular water bottle but I expected that. I purchased this because I like the spout.

Perfect water bottle, super easy to clean and 100% leak proof. No nasty plastic flavor and it squirts so its great for bike riding! Highly recommended
