This is a very nice lightweight water bottle. It won't get anywhere near the keep-cold time of one of the major double wall metal tumblers, but then again it's not supposed to.The plastic material is supple enough that it's easy to squeeze, and the valve is the perfect balance of keep the water in and get it out easily. I've knocked it over more than once, and it did not spill. One of the things I really like about this bottle is the locking mechanism on the valve. Put it in the lock position, and it doesn't matter how hard you squeeze or suck, the water is going to stay in the bottle. That's a great future.I'm also very fond of the triangle shape. It fits well in the hand, and feels good to hold whether you're running or biking. As I said, it's not going to keep water as cold as one of the major tumblers, but it definitely keeps it colder longer than a standard water bottle.Sadly, when I was riding my bike, I dropped it and it must have fallen in just the wrong way and cracked the valve rendering it useless. well I suspect this is just bad luck in the way that it fell, it was still a bummer.Overall though, a good choice.

Twenty five ounces is a great size for me to carry and use. I did a small test and took water chilled to 47 degrees and filled this insulated water bottle and also a thick walled glass bottle I favor using. After 90 minutes of sitting on a kitchen counter, the Camelbak was indeed still 8 degrees cooler than the glass bottle. So while far from the results of a double walled insulated thermos type bottle, it still kept the water more chilled than the thick glass alone. It has what they call an essentials pocket. It fits very tightly against the bottle so not sure what you'd put in there, though it would accommodate say a folded currency bill or a few keys or your gym membership I.D.I prefer using glass though that's heavier to carry and poses a breakage threat, or a metal insulated container to maintain more coldness. But as a container that offers some insulating properties, a suitable size and a minimal storage option, its a choice you might consider when shopping for a bottle as you obviously are!

So, let me start by saying the only reason I took a star off is because the shape is a little weird...it has a slight triangular shape to it. Because of this I had to push it down into the cup holder on my stroller and it's a little tight getting the sleeve on it.Other than that, this is a great Camelbak bottle. I like that it's 25 oz, so it holds a bit more water than the other ones we have. I usually carry around a 32 oz one (I drink water constantly), but they're too big to fit in the diaper back pocket or in the stroller cup holders. Like I mentioned above, this one does fit in the stroller, but because of its shape,I had to press down to get it in there (and it's in there tightly). The sleeve it comes with is great for stashing driver's license and credit card if you're out and about, but it's also tight to get on. It take a little wiggling to get it to shimmy up the bottle. The pieces come apart easily to put in the dishwasher (see pic). All in all, good sports bottle.

This is a review of CamelBak Peak Fitness Chill Insulated Water Bottle 25 ozThis is a review of the CamelBak Peak Fitness Chill Insulated Water Bottle 25 oz with Essentials PocketI like the larger 25oz capacity although the bottle is quite tall. The jetvalve is great. When it is locked it does not leak. When it is unlocked it does not leak even if the bottle tips over. It only lets water escape when you squeeze the bottle. The insulating jacket in between is great and really works. It's not like a thermos of course, but it definitely keeps water cooler for longer than a non-insulated bottle. The Essentials Pocket is perfect for holding a thin piece of paper. (that's a joke.)It's so difficult to slide something into it that I don't find much value to it. It can't hold my keychain full of keys, it can't hold much of anything. Good luck with it. Other than that, I think the bottle is great.

I like CamelBaki's water bottles because they've really perfected the spout. It can be locked close to avoid inadvertent leakage, which is handy for situations such as transporting it in a crowded backpack where it might get pressed or squeezed. You can also leave the spout unlocked and it doesn't leak at all. Drinking is pretty effortless, either by sucking on the valve and/or squeezing the bottle. Some bottles take a good bit of effort or have uncomfortable hard valves, but this one is soft, comfortable, and works great. The 25oz size of this bottle hits the sweet spot for me - enough hydration for a pretty intense workout but still very portable and unobtrusive. The fabric sleeve on this one is a nice touch. It's easily removable if you don't want to use it, but provides useful storage of a key, id, credit card, etc. if you need it. Great water bottle.

Camelbak's cycling bottles have long been the gold standard, so it's nice to see them bringing that technology to the gym and general exercise markets. The Peak Fitness bottles have a triangular shape to their design that makes them fit into your hand in a very natural way. They also work well in my car's cup holders. The Chill insulation technology does an amazing job of keeping water cold and minimizing the bottles sweating. This is great when you leave the bottle in a hot car during the day. Also, the Essentials Pocket sleeve on this model is very useful if you're going to use the bottle while walking or running. It provides a nice place to keep your keys or phone if your gym shorts don't have convenient pockets.

There is absolutely no indication on the product description (at the time of writing this) that the bottle is made from plastic. If I had to wager a guess, I'd say the material is PTFE? The plastic is translucent and supple.I prefer plastic waterbottles personally-- as I am a bit clumsy sometimes. There's a layer of insulation in the interior of the body and a sleeve which forms the outer layer and has a pocket which you could put something. So, in room temperature conditions this will keep ice water cold for a few days.

I was happy to receive this bottle. There is so much to like about it. The spout cover is easy to remove, but when it is on, it provides a safe seal. I like the squeeze mechanic. I use the bottle during hot yoga, and it is so easy to grab and squeeze the water in my mouth. The sleeve keeps the water cold longer, and the mesh outer pocket keeps my gym tag secure and I always know where it is. It is not to bulky so it fits in my yoga tote and cup holders at the gym and in my car. I am really pleased overall.

I have used the Camelbak bottles that are stainless steel. insulated, and have a flip top straw. My biggest objection to them is the crud that grows in the spout. I thought this one would solve that problem. The spout is supposed to come apart, but I find it to be really hard for me. Thanks to chemo, my nails are very soft and I can't get the spout apart without tearing them up. Maybe I am missing something, but I just can't pop this sucker apart. I would be more impressed if it were.

This is a just ok soft insulated bottle. The water tastes vaguely plasticy (edit: this went away, but boy does it require a lot of washing) and it lacks the all day cool of some hard insulated alternatives from brands like Contigo. On the plus side you can crush it down and it has good capacity. But in this crowded space I think you can do better. I'm upping it one star because I do like the squish to squirt water in the mouth action.

I'm a huge CamelBak fan. Love the flip top. Keeps the beverage nice and cold. The top is easy to clean. One of the issues I've had with other water bottles is that they eventually get moldy in those hard to reach places. Gross. Hopefully that won't be the case with this one. The sleeve is functional. Wish it had a gripper so that I can wrap it around my hand during my runs.

Took a while for me to get used to this -- I am not used to "squeeze bottles" of this size, but it's really a great bottle. Seals well -- no spills yet. Opens easily. Easy to hold. Really cool looking "sweater" on the outside that makes it a little insulated and easier to hold. Easy to drink from. Easy to clean. Easy to fill. Just easy. What you want in a water bottle.

All of these Camelbak insulated water bottles are just first rate. I have several of them which I use for cycling and for taking to the gym. Easy to open and fill, including ice. Washes easily in the dishwasher. Very durable. There's simply nothing to dislike here. I especially like the yellow color on this bottle. Very stylish and cool looking!

My daughter uses this to take to gym and it keeps the water colder longer then other bottles we have used. It also has a convenient pocket to keep a small item. It is shaped differently then other bottles so it does take some getting used to.

It’s about the same as other brands. All hold liquids without leaks (if used correctly). All have some features that seem neat when you order them and aren’t quite as neat once you used them. All are difficult to really clean.
