We take daily short hikes in the woods around our home. These hikes are not so long I need to wear my Camelbak backpack style water pack, but definitely long enough that I like to bring a bottle of cool water with me. Because I love my Camelbak products I chose this hand grip chilled water bottle holder by Camelbak. I was a little disappointed in this item because I feel it didn’t quite live up to Camelbaks reputation of quality products. Its okay, but I feel that Camelbak should have spent a little more time perfecting its features before putting it out there with their name on it.For example…It’s not ‘chilled’. There appears to be an insulation foam visible between the layers of plastic in the bottle.(see pics) When I filled my bottle with water and ice I expected it to stay cool for my 90 minute hike on a 60’s degree day, however, I found that the ice had melted and the water was of average temperature within an hour of the walk.Another feature that disappointed was the handle strap. It felt comfortable in my hand while carrying, and I was able to also put it on my wrist if I needed my hand free. There was an outside strap that could be snugged up, but I couldn’t see a purpose in that because when I cinched it up the wider inner strap then just bunched up and was awkward in my hand. Additionally, the carry position of the bottle while holding the strap in my hand allowed the bottles weight to make it hang with the spout at a downward angle. (see my picture) There was no strap over the top of the bottle so I worried the bottle might slip out of the pouch while I wasn’t paying attention to it. So I had to actually grip the handle at the top in order to prevent this from happening, which made it less comfortable to carry. If the bottle had rested lower in the pouch I think this balance issue would have resolved, allowing the bottle to hang more upright instead. There were some positive features that I did like. Such as:-The soft padding on the wide inner hand strap was comfortable in my hand or on my wrist.-The zipper pocket that holds a narrow cell phone like an iPhone. It did not hold my wider LG phone, but it was perfect for a snack bar to take along for the hike. And the hidden inner pocket just under the front flap of that pocket that holds an ID and a key if needed.-The bottle did not alter the taste of my water. I feared this might happen with the plastic but it did not seem to.-The materials used and quality of craftsmanship looked nice, just as I would expect from Camelbak.-The bottle stands on its own, even while in the pouch. I have other bottle holders that I use for short hikes but none of them can stand on their own, so I have to remove them from the holder to fill them, then put them back in the pouch laying over until I pick of the pouch for my hike. With this one I can fill it while in the pouch, let it stand upright still in the pouch until I am ready to go.-The spout does not leak, even in the open position! This is huge because I hate a leaky spout. You turn the top to open the spout so its ready to use but it doesn’t leak because you still have to suck on the spout to get a drink. Even though the bottle is a soft plastic you cannot squeeze the liquid out, you must suck on it to get a drink. The suction is vacuum controlled in the lid. It makes slightly aerated water as you suck it out.-Speaking of the vacuum lid, it is easily to disassemble to clean. If you have a straw cleaner brush that makes getting into the little holes even easier to clean it thoroughly.Over all I give it a 3.5 out if 5 stars because of the lack of staying chilled as the name implies, and the odd way that the bottle hangs upside-down. Amazon doesn’t allow a .5 star so I rounded up to a 4 because I love Camelbak products in general. They just need to make a few minor improvements to make this a 5 start item like most of their other products I’ve used.

I'm on my second insulated CamelBak hand-held water bottle. The first one I misplaced, and the second one has been with me for at least 4 years. My only complaint is that the zippered pocket can hold ONE gel plus ONE key. That's it. And you know, that usually is okay. But now I run with my phone, which has me wearing a belt pack in addition to carrying a bottle on my 5-12 mile runs. This newer CamelBak Quick Grip Chill Handheld Bottle seems slightly smaller in holding capacity, but it has this huge pocket for your phone. It still has the strap for tightening the grip to your palm. I like it snug enough that I don't have to squeeze the bottle... my fingers can be loose around the bottle because the strap keeps it on my hand.In the photo, my older bottle is in red. If I think I will need more than a bottle (17 oz), then I reroute my run to go by a drinking fountain or I wear a hydration vest. Here's what I don't like. The bottle is somewhat triangular in shape. It feels weird in my hand. The smaller diameter means that you have to apply more pressure with your fingers to get the water out. And be aware that, although you can carry more items (like a phone), the weight is now in your hand rather than on your belt. In fact, I wonder if the reduction in volume of 2-3 ounces is intentional to make up for the extra weight of the phone.

I looked for ages for a decent sports bottle. It's amazing how many bottles there are out there and how many get rubbish reviews. How difficult can it be to create a water bottle?! Anyway, this particular bottle is brilliant. First, there's the hand grip thing, very handy and the zipped pocket is big enough for my iPhone X. Second, the self-seal spout thing is super handy. No more unsrewing the top or pulling out the spout to drink. Just squeeze into your mouth. The spout works in the same way that the squeezy ketchup bottle does but I think it's different material, like a silicon or something. Finally, and the final reason I bought it is because it's a brand and name that I've actually heard of!I've got Camelbak bottles for me and the kids and they're always brilliant so I felt a bit more reassured going for this. I'm happy I did.

Currently training for a 1/2 marathon and I do not like to run 5 miles or more without access to water while training.Having to hold a water bottle the whole time is distracting and straining. I am not a fan of hydration belts or running with hydration backpacks/bladders. This meets in the middle giving me plenty or water to drink for my longer runs, allowing me to keep my hand loose and not clenched throughout the run and remain comfortable.Product is also reflective which is good for night runs. Water stays in the water bottle even when put on the 'open' position since it is a squeeze bottle. The inside pouch tends to get a bit moist, I only run with my ID and house key,not sure I'd be comfortable putting a cell phone in there.

This is a nice modification to the standard camelbak bottle to make it good for running. I have a ton of these insulated camelbaks for hiking and for my bike. This one has the same great nipple, but the bottle goes from round to triangular to make it fit in the hand better. My main complaint is that the grip is really better designed for larger hands - the pad inside the grip doesn't adjust smaller, so it bunches up a bit. Once you get it cinched in, it stays in the hand okay and the pouch is great for everything from gels to a cell phone (my iPhone 7 fit just fine). Overall it's done well for me on the long summer runs, but I'd like to see a bit more adjustment in the hand strap for smaller hands.

I’m so happy with this purchase I bought a second for my wife. The pouch fits my iPhone 7, house keys, and a small packet of haribo. The bottle stays coolish, depends how long your running and the weather of course. It doesn’t leak.It feels secure in my hand so that I don’t need to grip it, I can forget it’s there more or less.I found its best for 5-10k more than that I need more fluid/fuel. Vest helps there.Pair it with some mpow Bluetooth headphones phone and you hours of running fun. ???I bought mine from amazon directly. Came with the bottle and pouch. Fast delivery as expected by amazon prime.

This is great for a quick hike or run. It is easily adjustable to strap it to your hand. It holds a good amount of water (about 16oz) and it keeps the water cool for several hours. It also has a spot for you zip in your keys or a small phone. It is very well made and a simple squeeze of the bottle to get a drink. It's easy to clean. Overall, I really like it.

I bought this about a year ago when I started training for the Ragnar SoCal Relay. It has yet to let me down. I take it with almost all my runs over 3 miles. The bottle is tight and won't leak. The bigger storage pocket can fit my iPhone, or gel packs. The smaller one is perfect for my ID. It fits perfectly and securely in my hand while running.

I live in Florida so carrying water is a necessity. Unfortunately I hate carrying anything. This is great in that it is designed to be easy to carry and has a pocket to carry necessities. The weight is both a pro and con. Light weight makes it comfortable to carry, but it feels a bit cheap and only time will tell about the durability

Have a bottle with ner possibility looked for my wardrobe key and the iPod with the water bottle to stow. Works as far as tip top. Need the bottle only for the Fitess Studio. The fact that the bottle is insulated is a big plus. I also find the mouthpiece better than many other bottles. I am so satisfied. Delivery was very fast.

It fits my iPhone XR!! With it’s case on! I haven’t tried it on a run yet but if you’re looking for a handheld that fits these larger smart phones this one does! The bottle is an interesting shape, a triangle. Will edit after a run if there’s anything important to report.

If you got small hands this is not for you. After 40 mins run, I feel some strain on my hand. I need to switch it from one hand to another. The handle didn't give much help as it is still lose. But I still use it for running. Water remains cold ( i put lots of ice in it).

I love these bottles. My old running hand bottle was over 6 years old and the pocket was so small on them. This one was is great. It stretches and even fits my S8+ but nothing else. You really have to squeeze it in.

Great purchase! I bought this for my hubby for our daily walks/hikes. We usually walk 4-6 miles daily, this is easy to carry, and it holds keys/cards. My hubby also likes that the cap locks/unlocks.

I take this on runs, to the gym and if I need to go out and don’t want to drag a purse along. It works, that being said it gets sweaty and slippery fast in runs even when the grip is pulled tight.
