So, I took advantage of the $70 credit by getting the Amazon card making this purchase about $350. The next MRAD reticle equipped scope worth a beans whit is $1,000.... This thing really does it. Yes, it's hard to focus (pointed out by other reviewers) as the focus/zoom/paralax knob are all together on the eyepiece so it's a bit difficult at first... but you get it. Give it some time, it doesn't come out of the box ready to give you back rubs... you need to get to know it first, then back rubs.First day at the range was shooting at progressively further distances and was clicking turrets (later I found I was using the wrong number of clicks) then lost my shots when I went to 830 yards.I had a spotter use this scope to find my shot.... pulled the trigger, spotter immediately said, "Four mills low, one mill right".... I pulled held high and left to 4:1 on my scope's FFP MIL-DOT reticle, and hit the steel squarely the next shot... BOOM baby! that's what we're taking about. Also, with the three (THREE!) I was able to take an old, cheap red-dot sight that wasn't doing well with recoil (cheap) and mount it to the side giving me a VERY fast way to align the scope on distant targets with almost NO effort.. put the dot on the target at 800 yards, look through, make very fine adjustments and the scope is zeroed for a spotter. The scope comes with a very nice case too, though I want to leave the red-dot on the scope so the case doesn't work for me. I grabbed on old-school aluminum camera case (these have been replaced functionally with Pelican type cases which you can get a cheap copy of at Harbor Freight.. nothing wrong with those either) and can have the scope fully protected with the red-dot on it. I'm able to put my range-finder in there, my book and pen for notes and other misc. stuff you need for a great day on the range. You won't be disappointed. Best value out there for those of us that want to do a rich-mans sport (long distance shooting) without the fat wallet...

I've been looking at this scope for quite some time now. Following reviews and watching the few videos out there about the scope. I bought it because I wanted a smaller spotter than my Sight Mark 6-100x100 and to have a spotter with a reticle to call shots easier.I do love the small size as it saves weight in my drag bag. I also love the feel of the scope when using it handheld at 15 power. The scope can be mounted on my tripod right side up, up side down or on either side since the picatinny rails have the same threaded insert as the bottom mount. The power setting is firm and easy to set. Diopter setting for the reticle brings the mil-hash into a sharp focus. The over all focus on these scopes is the main problem and the reason I was not that impressed. In fact, the first scope I ordered I had to send back because it would never achieve a clean sharp sight picture. When aiming the scope at a bright white object I noticed that the glass the reticle was etched on had hundreds of small black dots everywhere in the field of view. The glass seemed to be dirty and probably the reason it would not focus. The second scope that came could focus better but, again, it had the same dots plus several large black marks to the right of the reticle. The third scope that was sent had no black marks and not as many black dots. The photo attached is the best focus I could achieve at 324 yards.I zero my rifles at 300 yards, so having this scope, I was hoping, would help in working on my load test. When conditions are good, I can spot my .264 hits on paper at my zero range. For 1000 + yards, the scope can be set up with my camera to catch bullet trace. But, again, I was hoping for a spotter that was as good as my Bushnell 12X50 binoculars which are very clear and sharp with great color. So, if you are looking for crisp, clear visual quality, this scope may not be for you.

UPDATE 2-8-2020:I've lowered my score to 4 stars after almost 2-years of light use. I use this scope in all weather conditions, and in the cold, the focus dial is very hard to turn. Sadly, it was so hard to turn this winter that the focus dial spun on the shaft it's mounted to, resulting in the inability to properly focus. It appears that the adhesive used was not strong enough to overcome the resistance of the thick/cold grease. The good news is that it should be covered under Bushnell's Legacy lifetime warranty. The bad news is that I have to pay to return it, and include $10 for shipping back from Bushnell to my house. I still like this spotting scope when it works, and still think it's a good value.Original review:I bought this spotting scope for target shooting out to 600 yards. Overall I'm quite impressed with the product quality at this price-point. It's not really as bright or as clear as a full-size spotting scope with an 85 mm HD objective lens, but for the price it's a great scope. I had no problem spotting impacts on steel at 600 yards. The image was slightly yellow compared to my neighbors Vortex Viper spotting scope, but the clarity was pretty close. Honestly, I think the only reason his was clearer was because the Vortex had a fine focus while the Legend does not. I like the compact size, which should make it easier to haul around in PRS matches. The first focal plane mil reticle is an awesome feature at this pricepoint as well. Hopefully I never need to use the lifetime warrant. If you are looking for a great bargain that will work well out to at least 600 yards, this is a good buy. If you want absolute clarity beyond 600, you probably need to spend a lot more.

Crystal clear sight picture. This is by far the best value for a spotting scope in this price range as it has really high quality glass HD (or ED) glass. Other spotting scopes in the price range don't have ED glass and will get super dark when fully zoomed in, essentially making them useless past 30x zoom or so. Crystal clear and will be wonderful for birdwatching/hunting/shooting. The reticle does have some paint spotting on it as other reviewers have mentioned, but I'd trade off some harmless spotting for a beautiful sight picture any day. The reticle is in the first focal plane which makes measuring distance much easier. I was able to measure a distance of 150' in my back yard within 2 inches. It will be nice to test the range finding on a larger scale. Lastly the scope is super rugged and waterproof. Overall just a wonderful purchase, and excellent value for what you're getting.

Decent glass clarity. It's definitely no Swavorski but its decent glass. There is a slight fish eye effect at the edges of the glass but the reticle was fine and I have not found another spotting scope with pic rails aftermarket case options from Triad tactical and a FFP reticle. Factory field case is all right but does cover the pic rails preventing them from use but buying aftermarket case solved that issue. Thanks to the pic rails I can mount my kestrel to the spotting scope.

great clarity, and brightness. This outperforms a friend of mines leuopold spotting scope. the reticle is great for ranging and calling corrections. Additionally its built like a tank. The soft cover is great as you don't have to take it off to use the scope. It does not come with a hard case or tripod. I bought a pelican for it as well as a solid tripod. This has made a very stable platform for range work. Would highly recommend this scope especially at its price point.

This was the lowest cost spotting scope with a mil-dot reticle I could find. Very satisfied. 45x magnification might be a little low, but I can easily spot impacts in the dirt at 700 yards. It does seem to lose focus without me touching it.Reticle is very helpful. Telling the shooter to hold .3 mils right, .2 mils low is a lot better than "A little right, a little low"! Especially if the shooter has a mil dot scope.

Have used this scope in the past 2 PRS (Precision Rifle Series) matches, and it is a great scope, especially for spotting to call shots for other shooters. The Mil Reticle REALLY helps give specific calls and adjustments to the shooter when you spot the miss or trace. It has been rained on, and never fogged or showed any signs of it, so a strong candidate, especially if you are in the market.

Can't say enough good about this little scope. Very well made, great glass and easy to use. The icing on the cake is the price. For what you get, the quality and features, it is priceless!!!

Great glass with useable reticle on the front focal plane. I mounted a TRS 25 on the top rail and “ zeroed it to the reticle “ at 600 meters. Makes finding target much faster at high mag

For the money when paired with the Bushnell rebate, this scope performs fantastic. The FFP reticle is extremely handy for making zeroing or splash adjustments.10/10 would buy again.

This thing rocks. Glass and eye-relief is better than the $1,400 Leupold spotting scope I bought. The MIL reticle seems accurate and in the First Focal Plane. Would buy again!

This is a good spotting scope for the money. The image isn’t as clear as other brands but having a mil based reticle in a small packable spotting scope is why I purchased it.

15.11.2018

Great for the money. Was able to see vapor trail out at 1100. I wish the reticle was etched and not painted on as it isn’t perfect. I would definitely recommend.

Nice glass rectical is great . Focussing can be a PITA . You have 3 focus rings all right next to each other . That’s why I gave it 4 stars . More like 4.75
