First of all unlike the only other review of this game I have had no technical problems afer several months of game play. This is not an easy game to master and will only suit those who are willing to put in plenty of hours play only to see their plans fall apart due to lack of supplies or bad planing. What the game really suceeds in doing is showing how difficult it was to win this war out right for either the British or Americans and French forces. The graphics are basic, but sufficient, the only minor criticism I have so far is that the AI is quite passive at times and does not swiftly follow up any victories.

This is a mature game for the serious gamer. By serious I mean 'thinking'. If you like a bit of history and like the idea of re-writing it (slapping down the yanks WITHOUT any interference from the damned French) - then this is for you. This is strategy on a grand scale. You will need to be supreme Commander of your forces in the Colonies, directing all armies and resources. Very absorbing, very stimulating and very satisfying.If you're looking for a 'shoot 'em up' - don't bother. If you're looking for a challenge in re-writing history - this is for you. Excllent for the grand strategists amongst us.Peter Millist
