If simple writing biros are your ‘thing’, then look no further than these BIC cristal, disposable pens. With a long history in the manufacture of pens, BIC were the go-to writing implements at school when the fountain pen was phased out in the early 1980s. However, BIC have considerably improved their ink-writing performance since then: no blotting or splodging, no ink-leaking, the smooth application of BIC to paper with a fine but not scratchy nib and the ability to inscribe fast without the need for ink to dry.Please do not leave the removable lids lying around with very young children and pets as they are easily chewed and swallowed; the lids are designed to fit at the bottom of the pen when in use.

I received a birthday card from a friend just recently and I blurted out "Hey! That's the green ink from the new Bic biro!"This pack contains four unusual colour inks - pale green, pink, purple and pale blue. None of these would be appropriate if you are signing a contract or a major international treaty, but if you're writing a letter to a friend or an entry in your diary you'll do just fine.I say "just fine" but actually the quality of ink flow from my pale green pen isn't great. Every word seems to have a blotch of ink that bobbles there on the paper, takes a little longer to dry and tends to cause smudges if you brush your hand immediately over your writing. This problem doesn't afflict the other three pens,

Sometimes coloured ballpens are unimpressive with each colour being a bit dull and indistinct but these are really good. Each colour comes out nicely saturated and with each one clear and distinct from the others, you'll actually see which pen drew what. The pens themselves are very lightweight and disposable feeling but comfortable enough to work with. Each cap has a colour flash to indicate the ink colour but the cowl around the pen nib has that too - so you'll be able to match cap to pen afterwards and not get your shades mixed up. The caps all have a hole in the top so it seems they aren't needed to keep the pen from drying out but more for protecting your shirt pocket or backpack.They write smoothly and easily,

An update upon the original and classic Bic Crystal pens that were, and probably still are, the standard ballpoint used in many workplaces as well as by students of all ages as some may be supplied by schools; they were in my day! They are not retractable or gel pens and do not have a rubber comfort grip; the on-page description is a hash-up and only the brand-name is correct.The body and cap are mostly white (ivory?) with the pocket clip in a dark blue; the ink is also blue in this instance. The pens work to expectation and have a medium line (1.2mm) although some may prefer a finer tip and line, but its line-width is highly legible. The design follows the original concept but with a modern twist and duo-coloured cap.

You can change the colour both outside and inside the Bic biro design, but ultimately it’s still the same definitive and classic end-chewable, reliable, disposable bit of scratchy-nibbed plastic that it has been for many years. Nothing more, nothing less. As always, they’re thinner than most ballpoint pens, and feel a bit primitive, but they have good quality nibs which are the reason Bic stay on top of the market.The colours in this 4-pack work well. They’re bright and cheery, suitable for schoolteachers and teenagers who want to rebel by doing their homework in something other than black or blue, yet the colours are rich enough and professional-looking enough that you can still use them for office work without raising eyebrows.

I'll admit, I'm struggling to see these as anything but a gimmick.Allow me to explain. Normally you'll have a pen in say, red, blue, green, and even the green is fairly useless unless you're doing something specialist. If you're a teacher you have red, obviously. But what use are three shades of blue?Ah, but you might say, for colouring! Well, no. Because these are ball point pens, so they're useless for colouring.So that brings me full circle - what are these pens actually for? If the answer is "for fun" then fine, but I do still have a problem with that - instead of carrying round 8 different colour pens (there's 8 discrete colours here) you can just get one of those ten colour pens that have been out since *I* was at school,

You've got to love Bic and their affordable and convenient pens. Gone are the days of dipping feathers into ink having to contend with messy blots between you're carefully crafted words. With the ballpoint you can write to your heart's content with no smudges or smears. And Bic are the masters of the ballpoint pen.This is a pack of 4 Bic Cristal Up blue pens. They are a little different to the normal Bic pens in that the "barrel" is white and not see-through, and the lid is two colours (white and blue), not one. And maybe because of these stylistic changes they are charging a bit more (Amazon prices unavailable at time of writing review so only speculating),

Comes in a simple cardboard box with a perforated flap that allows for it to be used as a dispenser. No excess packaging, so that's good. The pens feel a little thinner than the traditional clear BIC, and as a result not quite as comfortable to hold, but it's not enough of a difference to be a problem. They write well and smoothly, and so far I have had no problem with blobbing or smearing. They feel like BIC's usual quality to me. Being the cynic I am, I took one apart to see if the reason for the white body was to disguise the fact that there was less ink in them, but not as far as I can tell. The caps fit well and have the usual hole in the end to reduce choking hazard for children.

Ive tried many pens in my lifetime and i always end up going back to trusty old fashioned blue and black bic biros. Cheap and brilliant.These are the same excellent quality i have come to expect from using bic biros for half a century yet they come in bright funky colours which are a little different to the norm.All pens come in crisp white barrels with corresponding ends and caps. The thing i like with bic biros is that the caps have holders on them to attach to pads or inside the spiral edges of notebooks so you cant lose them. However if you are like me, 99 times out of 100 they end up being chewed in your mouth.All pens write perfectly straight out of the packs, with no bleeding,

If you look at the pack of this Bic 8 pack you will see, right at the top to the left Bic 'Quality First'.My goodness they are not wrong these cheap and cheerful pens really are quality.I tried each and every one of these pens straight from the simple blister pack and each and everyone of them wrote first time with a clear blob free, vibrant deep coloured line.Perfect.The price may be cheap but the quality is more than first class.The nitty gritty.The points are medium giving you the regular 0.35mm line width.Brilliant assorted ink colours in Black, Blue, Green, Red, Pink, Lime, Purple and Turquoise meaning you are spoiled for choice.The pens 'feel' just right in your hands.

In this tear open resealable plastic pack you will find 15 pens with the following colours: Lime x 1, Pink x 1, ,Purple x 2, Turquoise x 2, Green x 2, Red x 2, Black x 2 and Blue x 3.The pen's barrel is hexagonal and quite comfortable to hold. Every pen worked straight away and the nib, pen top and cap are colour coded and exactly match the colour of the ink.I like all of the colours and so do my daughters who have been using these for their homework. I find them particularly useful for making written comments on students' work; they actually bother to read what I've written when it's in an unusual colour!The reason I've suggested four stars is that the caps are rather difficult to get off the pens and there's quite a sharp edge to them which tends to catch the skin on one's fingers.
