I'm usually a PaperMate customer but recently was given a couple of these Bic Softfeels. I've been pretty satisfied by most aspects of this ballpoint pen, such as a comfortable and secure grip, ink darkness, smooth writing, security and durability of the shirt pocket clip, and longevity of the ink supply. I decided to try a dozen of these Bics, expecting to pay around $10-12. I was quite surprised that we get 36 pens for this money. The only negative, which is likely not even worth mentioning, is that the refill is an opaque white plastic, not a clear plastic. I like to check the ink supply from time to time. I think that the reviewers who downgraded the product to 1-star because they didn't receive enough blue ink pens to please them are probably people who love to nitpick.

They work great for the money. We bought them just to have pens for around the house for convenience. I actually haven’t found any duds yet, but it is a huge pack (36 mixed blue and black). I just pick one out whenever I need to sign or write something and it works great. As you can see there are more black pens than blue which I like because you don’t always need blue pens but can always use black. The picture I included is after we’ve had them for a while so all the pens aren’t in the box just FYI.

It came wrapped in industrial grade bubble wrap in a box 8 times the size of the pen box. Rest assured, the box was in mint condition - good enough for a present.The 12 pens that I have used thus far work rather well, and glide easily. I came back around to ballpoint pens because they do not smear as easily and the ink survives wet paper. These are a good number for me because pens need to be everywhere for me. I need pens in my purse, car, table, and behind my ear.

The pens themselves are decent. I am disappointed in the variety because it doesnt say out of the 36 pens how many of each color you will receive. In the package I received only 12 blue with 24 black....I would have preferred an even combo of both blue and black so perhaps this review will help the next person decide to purchase. I would not purchase again just because I prefer blue ink but sometimes need black so I will just purchase the color I want individually.

First of all, these are great pens. They really write smoothly. I have been using them for over 20 years. Of all ballpoint pens I've used, these are my favorites. I can carry them easily in my shirt pocket, meaning they fit well. Secondly, these are offered at a great price. This is practical because I lose them by letting others use them. These are the cheapest multi-count boxes I found at time of purchase. For a while, I was buying them packaged in three colors:

I'm a pen snob & am extremely picky about my pens. I've tried them all... Paid embarrassingly too much for pens, but this is the one... These are by far my absolute favorite. They ALWAYS write so smooth & even. They feel good in my hand. & Even come in fun colors which I also bought a set of along with this pack of 36. Mixed with black & blue. I'm all set!

These are the best pens. I use a pen signing hundreds of docs per day and need a reliable pen that will conistently write and not break. They write well, have a nice trip, and best of all, the clips hardly ever break! Most plastic clips always break, but not Bics. Buy these and don't waste your time with alternatives.

i am not a fan of GEL pens ... i prefer regular old pens ...these rock. i wish there were more BLUES ... i would say like 5 blues ... 31 blacks ...that is not equal ...wish they were half of each color. that would be more realistic and fair. so silly. but i enjoy the way they write.

The pens are great, they are comfortable and they all worked very well. The only problem I had was with the fact there was only 12 blue pens. I just assumed that the colors were divided equally 18 black 18 blue. .I wish the number of each color had been printed in the description.

These are great pens! Lightweight, writes smoothly, and the ink doesn’t run! If you do a lot of writing, this is a great deal for the amount of pens you receive. It’s not for everyone but if you like the way it writes, you’ll prefer this pen even over the fancy ones.

Performs far better than other pens. Ink pens and manufacturing has ruined the quality of most pens. China has over produced bad pens and what was a reliable brand os no more due to fraudulent brands out there.These however are good and reliable.A winner

I bought these for my Jr. High daughter. She likes that they are comfortable and easy to hold. She likes that they are retractable and there is no lid to lose. It keeps her backpack and pencil pouch from getting ink stains. They write very well.

My husband and I love this pen (in black or blue)....writes well, easy to hold, great ink, doesn't smear. Happy to find these! A few years ago we had a box of them and enjoyed them so now we are happy to have found the same kind again!

Decent inexpensive pens, purchased for office holiday goody bags. Only issue is that there were more black than blue pens in the box, so, since I was doing two pens per bag for 18 people, not everyone got a blue pen.

As a person in the service industry, I need affordable retractable pens that do not explode. These do the job. The blue color is particularly compelling. It’s the little things that I stare at and enjoy my day.
