If you need a crossover aka x-over cable that is top quality and built to last then this is your cable!The colour is a nice touch by Belkin, so unusual that you won't mistake it for all the straight patch cables in your collection. Well I think so anyway.Very confused by the low review, simple objects do simple things. Admittedly it had no boots but the terminations are plastic filled (good) and the strain relief is nice and tight. This cable will last!

I worked at this for about an hour using Windows 7 finally gave up and just used the Gigabit Ethernet switch I bought in-between times which was simple and required no configuration or changes to settings. Cables themselves were well packaged and they are good quality. I fully expect them to be sitting in a drawer unused and in perfect working condition for many years to come.

Does what it says on the packet :-)Remember when setting up a direct network cable each computer has to reference the the other as Gateway, on one the Gateway is 192.168.0.1 with IP of 192.168.02 and the other machine should be a Gateway of 192.168.0.2 with IP of 192.168.0.1, guess that's why it's called a crossover cable :-)

Quick delivery. Well made, and it does the top. There's not much more one can say about a cable. Having details, such as "I love it" following the star ratings tends to put me off. How can one love a cable or any other inanimate object?

Its a patch cord with a crossover -and allow connection of two pcs together for fast synchronising. Modern machines will work with a normal cable without crossover as well so check if you need this , but if you do, its just fine

Just created a local network with a desk top PC (XP) running RAID1 and a lap top (Win7) for back up. All good, cable is long enough to allow the PC to be stowed out of the way. All running nicely.

Five stars for value and build. Needed a cross over cable quickly - have a few but this was cheaper to buy than to go fetch. I wonder why other cables from other suppliers can cost 6 times more?

Got this to play Age of Empires 2 against my friend on his laptop, worked fine. I think we could have also shared files and things but we didn't try to do this, I'm sure you can though.

Wire is transferring from my laptop to my Desktop at about 11mb/s which is fine for me. I'm giving it 5 stars for it's price, there are better/ faster ones out there if you need it.

Needed a crossover cable to migrate all my old iMac stuff to my new iMac.Took around 2.5 hours to transfer 150 gig, very quick and for a cable costing bobbins, brilliant value.

This item does what it says it does. Arrived promptly and worked as intended straight out of the packet. No assembly necessary.It's a cable. Hope this was of some use :)

Quality crossover cable. Using to share internet connection between PS3 and PC as PS3 wireless adapter is poor (old model). Does the job, reasonable delivery time.

bought this about 7 years ago to connect my xbox to the net, and it has lasted well, still working. Bit short though, 2m wasn't as long as I thought it might be.

If you don't want 2 cables and a hub to link 2 computers buy one of these, simple enough, one cable no hub (and quite importantly no power supply for the hub).
