I'm no expert on these pedals but for anyone starting out playing bass and you want to get the grunge sound then this is ideal. For less then £30 you get a very week made pedal. You have 4 knobs that control level, treble, gain and bass boost, and a switch that controls fuzz 1, fuzz 2, and boost. You can get some great some great sounds out of this, it's compact and will fit in the palm of your hand, it's a great bit of kit, like I said I'm no expert but I think for the beginner it'll give you hours of fun trying out the different sounds, I can highly recommend this to anyone thinking of buying a fuzz pedal.

Like all Behringer pedals this is made of plastic so if that's going to be an issue for you then best avoid. If you can live with having to treat this more gently than one of its metal bodied cousins then go for it. I found the pedal very easy to operate, but for me the sound was a bit heavy, it really pushed out the low notes & swallowed the high ones. That said coupled with the ultra metal pedal it created a really dry sort of "Pantera" sound. However I bought this to use with a mic to get that "scratchy old microphone" effect, which it does perfectly. The signal boost function is also useful in that role.
