chorus is a cheezy effect, so you might as well use a cheap pedal. sure the tone is different than a small clone, but i personally like this better. this is my second fab chorus (the first one i had and gigged with for two years and then it was stolen) so i'm pretty happy with it.i'm not a huge fan of the pedal's physical design, since a standard foot switch (a la small clone, big muff) or a boss pedal is much easier to hit. you're definitely going to be doing the "correct" thing of planting your heel in front of the pedal well before you hit it, just to make sure you hit it right.HOWEVER, with the placement of the knobs, you won't accidentally change your tone with you stomp down *cough big muff cough*.then again, some people like to change their settings with your feet, and you won't be able to do that. it's all a trade off.

My tube amp has a nice reverb built in but no CHORUS effect. My acoustic guitar has a passive magnetic pickup. This very inexpensive pedal fooled me at first. I thought it didn't work even though the LED was ON. It turns out that the MIX was set much higher out of the box than it should have been. Once I turned MIX way down the CHORUS effect became quite obvious. Then, fiddling with SPEED and DEPTH and adding barely a schosche of MIX gave me just the right amount of effect for my particular tastes. In normal operation with the CHORUS effect set, the pedal OFF/pass-through worked fine. No effect, no buzz, no hum, no rattle, no noise, no drop in volume.NOTE: With ALL three controls turned completely down as in OFF but with the pedal still ON,the sound out of the amp was very low in volume and badly distorted.

I choose this pedal as I am just starting to explore the world of all the different pedals and effects there are on offer. This danelectro pedal is as the name suggests; fab. For something so cheap its a brilliant pedal. It can range from pretty subtle to really spacey chorus effects. However i do think its need some time to fiddle with to get the right sounds out of it and unless its on a higher setting the effects it make can be quite subtle indeed. The case is plastic which i thought might be an issue but its actually surprisingly strong and im confident it can last quite a while.Battery life doesn't seem too bad but it could be better.Plus the battery back has a kind of screw on plate which is a little irritating and fiddly.

Comments: Inexpensive , not 'cheap'. Thick plastic housing, metal bottom plate w/rubber tread. Solid jacks and switch operation. Switch does not 'click' -most of the Behringer pedals don't either. Battery access through bottom plate with a coin etc-MUCH easier than Behringer which ONLY a pen pressed into the pedal pivots can be used and the spring falls out. I have 7 Behringer pedals, this is my first Dan Electro. Don't like that the knobs operate BACKWARD! Turn counter-clockwise to INCREASE effect. Sound is decent, blue light is too bright like the Behringers. A bargain anyway any well made. Could give 5 stars for the price, but LEFT turn a knob to INCREASE????!!! Rock-on anyway! Will buy other D.E.Pedals!

I absolutely love mine! It was on sale and got it for cents over $15 in total, and it’s surely one of the best $15 I’ve spent. Great sounds out of it! The dial doesn’t take long to get used to since it’s counter clockwise to maximum. It also gets crazy when you turn all the dials up to max; it gets to this trippy effect which is cool for experimental stuff. I love engaging this with my overdrive pedals or with my distortion and Klon. Wicked sounds! I also use it for ambient stuff with my reverb which sounds superb.Don’t let the enclosure fool you with people complaining about how it’s plastic; It’s a solid kind of hard plastic. You would literally have to hulk smash the pedal to break it.

Sometimes you want to spend 300$ on a pedal...sometimes you don t...This Chorus pedal is fantastic for the price. In my book, a chorus is a chorus...Bought mine to use with a true bypass looper,so the cheap jacks and the cheap sounding bypass of the pedal is irrelevant. Really appreciate the fx level that is missed on most chorus pedal. The effect is slightly dark and sounds a bit muffled. I fixed this with a equally cheap EQ pedal i had around. I now have a beautiful and rich sounding chorus option in my rig, for less money than two grocery bags...and now I probably put too much chorus fx in my guitar sounds on every gig. It s that good.?

This is an awesome little pedal. It does exactly what it should and sounds pretty fantastic. Initially this was going to be an add on to the rest of my pedals, but after spending some time time with it I use it all the time. As a chorus pedal its has some decent range to it and even though its plastic, it fells rather sturdy. It does give a bit of buzz, but nothing too bad, especially if you have it plugged into a decent pedal board. I'd highly recommend this to anyone interested in buying one of their first pedals, to anyone who wanted to try a chorus, or to someone who was looking for a little added variety to their pedal board.

I understand some may get a dead pedal like one reviewer said. This is a good reason to be mad, but I did not have that problem. My review is then strictly based on performance. There are definitely adjustable sounds that are most likely universally unpleasant, but there are plenty of great sounds that you can set this pedal to. If used correctly, you can get the nice, "shimmering" sound. There will not be the variety of a more expensive pedal, but it is built very well as far as I can tell. If you just want to get a VERY nice chorus pedal, save up, but to just play around with, this is well worth the $15!

Great chorus pedal. I like the fact that it softens up your guitar sound, though I looked at the manual saying the depth of your chorus sound and speed shows off the fact that it adjusts the speed of the entire sound. The sound on the pedal however has a great tone, although having to put too much speed on to it, which would probably sound weird, so it's best if you put the speed & depth on twelve o'clock. This feature can also be known as to be heard on thrash metal & heavy metal albums (e.g. Metallica, Testament, Iced Earth, don't know about Megadeth or Slayer). But one today and enjoy.

You cannot beat a pedal this good sounding for fifteen bucks. You can get anywhere from a touch of shimmer to swirling, pulsating space sounds with the FAB chorus by Danelectro. Battery access is kind of hard with just your fingers - you need a screwdriver, but if you use an adapter that's a moot point. Plastic case does not feel cheap, controls and input/output jacks are in the front so you can cram this chorus alongside another pedal without taking up extra space. There may be better chorus pedals out there, but there isn't a better value in a chorus pedal.

For the price, this chorus pedal gives a great tone and offers a great addition to any guitarist looking to spice up their cheap setup without busting the bank for more than a few dollars. This gives a vintage chorus sound that can reach tones reminiscent of the ones found on songs such as Paradise City. Not only does this sound great with my strat but it also sound fantastic when paired with my washburn acoustic electric! This is not a pedal for the serious guitarist but a pedal for a more moderate or amatuer player such as myself!!!

I bought this as a gift for a relative of mine and since I have a large assortment of effects pedals, I, of course, had to open the box and check it out. For what I paid for this item it is absolutely fantastic. Sounds really good, has ample adjustment and the on/off foot switch works fine. It's not as durable as a Boss pedal, but then again those are 7 times the price of this one, and if you take good care of it and don't hit it with a hammer it should last a long time. I am considering buying some for myself.

I am pretty impressed with this budget friendly Chorus. It sounds really good for the cost and I can get a bunch of different tones from it. The housing is... plastic, but it has held up for the last 18 months on my pedalboard with no issues. The only thing I am not a fan of is the input and output are on the back side, literally every other pedal I own has side input/output jacks so the patch cables look weird on my pedalboard wrapping around and over the top..... but hey for around $20 I’m not even bummed.

when you buy this make sure that you also buy the ac adapter. This pedal sounds awesome. It has a thick plastic body, but I imagine that it would take a little stomping. I use the stomp button as a push button. I set it on top of my practice amp and reach over to press the button when I want it turned on. I believe that this pedal will last me for the rest of my life.great sound btw, and it is easy to dial in the sound that you are looking for. I would recommend this thing to anyone.

This was exactly what I wanted to make my acoustic sound stand out, not only that but the response was prompt. The seller seen that shipment would not make it as ordered and they upped the shipping from 3 day to overnight so it would be on time rather than email and late arrival (which was what I expected) I wouldn't doubt buying from this company nor using this product should i need this sound again. A great sound for $15 and it works good a person just couldn't ask for more
