I love this pedal so much and I can't say its enhanced my playing by a lot but its allowed me to try new genres of music I've never played and get better at soloing too :) The reverse feature and half speed are incredibly useful for ambient music, I'm very happy they included and it definitely makes the product stand out along with the ability to save a loop(or import one) and record multiple loops over each-other. The fact you can use batteries or use an adapter is simply beautiful. In terms of the design it's kind of bulky but it's very easy to use and learn. I'd recommend getting it due to its unique features, easy to use nature and just fun of using it,I believe it will always be a classic pedal for guitar users! The only downside I can think of is the price (which is justified by the unique features and quality) and how sometimes I've had to unplug it due to it acting weird (that has been very rare for me though). It depends what you want to use the pedal for to be honest but for my purpose it has been excellent. The sound quality is great too!

This works well once you get used its quirks. The lack of a manual is strange, but you can find the manual in pdf form online. Weirder still is that the manual doesn't mention one of its most puzzling features. If operate it on the battery, you have to unplug the leads when you finish using it. Otherwise it runs the battery down. Basically the input plug operates like an on/off switch. Why they couldn't just put an off switch on it..well that's just one of the quirks. In fact at first I found you also needed to clear the last loop which was a bit of a pain. Now it seems to work fine for me. I can record a loop, unplug the leads when I'm finished and when a plug in again the loop light starts blinking and I can pick up where I left off.I suspect the difference may be that I'm only using one battery in the left hand chamber. I suspect that if the right hand battery chamber is occupied then the unit doesn't switch off when you disconnect the leads.

Great little device. I don't use it for guitar being more of a analogue synth geek. I wanted something which I could use to loop some different synth background drones and lead loops and also liked the idea of having that one half speed setting for some dirty deep synth loops. I use the half speed setting a lot more than the reverse option. It is so simple to use and a lot of fun to learn. I realised while getting into synth gadgets that I could use my Mac to loop tracks but I wanted something more immediate that worked like one of the instruments so I could make track loops without a mouse and the usual clicking and navigation around a desktop. It is perfect for that quick live jam where you don't want to mess about with a computer. It gets used every time I start to play with my various Korg and Arturia synths. For reference I use it with my hands, rather than foot and the buttons work perfectly with a quick sharp prod of the finger.

This pedal is fantastic! As it's my first loop pedal I cannot compare to others, but I can say that it's so easy to use, and the amount of features packed in to this with only 2 stomp buttons and 2 flick switches is incredible. The one button Stop feature is very handy for getting timing spot on, and the Reverse feature makes for some interesting and experimental sounds, using that quite a lot. Overdubbing over a loop is very simple, and there is also an Undo feature, in case you make a mistake on your Overdubbing, plus a Redo button! The ability to Store a loop on the pedal and then export this to your PC is a brilliant feature, and also very easy to do (just a copy and paste job). There is also the option to Import a track to the pedal, which I have not got round to trying yet.Definitely recommended for any one wanting to be more creative, and enjoys layering over their own music, as well as improvising or recording over a loop.

I am currently in the process of collecting gear for my pedal board and a looper was deemed needed. I had the hex 720 and a boss to compete with the ditto but it all came down to price of the equivalent spec loopers. So at £100 I went for the ditto. No power supply but I was going to get a brick anyway. So far in use at 5 mins I think of looping time I'm currently having a lot of fun using this box. It does what it sea on the tin and there is no popping when turning on or off. I use the ditto to layer out rhythm guitar or any fills and I play power or low notes over it...so fun!! Homely would have settled for the smaller one but turning on and off with one switch is too much work for me.Overall this looper nails it. I fun using it. I learn and improve in my playing and no pops. Hope this helps.

Great pedal.Really easy to use.I bought this to help me practise. I can lay down a basic track and then sit and work through arpeggios, double stops, scales, whatever I'm working on, without annoying the hell out of another guitar player. The track overlaying feature is nice and I imagine you could probably pull together a rough demo with this.Just remember to record the longest track first, everything else has to fit within the time of the first layer.I haven't used a looper before and to be fair I'm not the world's greatest guitar player but I've found this to be a great toy and great for helping me practise.

An excellent looper. Be aware there is no quantise on this pedal - time it right or it sounds awful. There are few features - the '1/2 speed' and 'reverse' effects are nice but that's it. However, that's why I like it. The money is in the metal case and build, feels very 'road-worthy'. Also, I have a friend with a fancy looper, and they waste so much time on effects they get little music done. All I have is a simple 'accompanier' - so I stay focussed on the song, not the toy. Very happy with it - and the older reviews of 'crashing' - I've had no problems so I guess they worked the kinks out.

If you're serious about exploring your musical ability, buy one. With the unlimited overdubs and great sound quality of each, you can create some very unique textures and melodies and the possibilities are endless. This pedal will make you smile. I also think it's great as a ear training tool as you seem to feel yourself beginning to understand how music can work and what sounds good with what. Is it worth £60 more than the original? Thats up to you, however the options the X2 gives you with 1/2 speed, reverse, import/export are definitely pretty cool.

First time with a looper and I wasn't sure how it would go. It does make you really focus on your timing to capture the start of the loop and then playback but once sorted you can play lead over chords until you run out of ideas. Tried it with the band with mixed results mainly because of the timing issue, but that's more about learning and timing than the looper. Sound of playback faithfully repeats your settings and practice has never been such fun. Excellent product ?

At Last a looper pedal i can use easily .....simple to use a great playback sound ,,Im not very good Or patient with over complex guitar pedals i like them simple and that they do the job ,TC electronics have at made a suburb job of doing that with this looper pedal and its smaller version i add .I have already recommended this product to my guitar playing pals its really brilliant !!

Press a button: Play.Press a button: Listen to clear and accurate loop.Repeat process as required.Simple, precise, well built. Not sure I knew that such good and uncomplicated gear still existed in this over-the-top world.10 out of 10. A gem, and a really practical tool.

Awesome pedal, it's going to take ages to fully explore this for rock riffs, whole backing tracks for blues and lead practices. I have even been using it for delicate acoustic folk picking and its just amazing I can even get bagpipe sounds when it reverses diads and triads!

Excellent easy to use Looper. Sound quality is excellent and no hiss or noise in bypass mode. I recommend getting this version with the second footswitch for easy stop and start. This is a realyl solid product and can take 2 9v batteries for extended life.

Easy to use once you get the timing right and it produces poop after loop after loop. I bought this for live situations but haven't mastered it enough to feel confident using it at a gig. However that's me not the pedal and I'm sure it'll be spot on.

I am very pleased with this looper (recommended by Justin Guitar). Took me a little while to understand how to connect it, but after contacting the manufacturer (who were EXCELLENT) I am pleased to say, all is working well. Buy it.
