First let me start off with where is the wifi module how much would it cost to put one in Asus honestly the socket is there and everything or just release the module so I can fit it myself an extra 30 to 40 pounds. Next is doesn't it feel strange to everybody that amd motherboards are not as well packed as the intel counterparts. I know amd released the chip late to the vendors so they did not have much time to sort the motherboards out but even so where are the better motherboards now compared to the new x299 motherboards what are not even out yet they have better features. It seems to me amd are getting the short end of the stick.Where are the high end x370 motherboards i have seen the x399 motherboards and they are a absolute let down compaired to the x299 intel motherboards. Anyway back to this motherboard the aura lighting is dodgy some times it works properly and sometimes not and the ram getting it to overclock to recommended speed is a joke. Asus it needs more bios updates to sort out most of the minor problems. One thing I love about this motherboard is the am3 mounting holes a work of genius mostly ably cooler will work with a am3 backplate I did not have one with my kraken so bought one off Amazon for 5 pound. Not much else to say but this is one of the best and motherboards out at the moment with 12 usbs at the back and 8 are usb 2. Really easy to oc your chip with this motherboard. Just wish there was like a rampage amd edition or msi godlike. but I suppose that is to much to ask for a and board. Now I know where all the hated comes from between amd and intel fans they are sick of being done over by intel.

After upgrading from an asus 990fx sabertooth / AMD FX 9590 combo, the asus rog crosshair hero 6 seemed the next logical step for the Ryzen 1700x i ordered and what a clear winner it turned out to be!. The motherboard was delivered on time and in perfect condition and worked flawlessly when combined with the 1700x and 16gb of corsair led vengeance 2666 (not the fastest but very stable even with the bios updated to 1201) worked first time out of the box. One feature that i love about this board is the extra four AM3 positioned bracket holes which enabled me to use my corsair H100i v2 cpu cooler by simply unscrewing and removing the AM4 backplate that comes with it and reusing an AM3 backplate removed from an old broken mobo (otherwise i would have had to order an AM4 bracket from corsair).Asus may have decided not to include a wifi card with this mobo but there is a slot for one (the card can be purchased separately) if needed but will require that you remove the heatsink/shield covering the usb ports ect by unscrewing it/replacing it from the back of the mobo BEFORE installing the motherboard if you do. Sure the asus TAICHI mobo comes with one already, but the ability to add one later on gives me flexibility without sacrificing any of the crosshair hero 6's features or great potential with overclocking and in general in the long run. This is an awesome motherboard with many great features and definitely gets my recommendation.

Thought I would share my experience with this motherboard, due to short stock levels on Amazon, I had to order else where. Overclockers to be exact.I have so far found this the best board for choice, usually I stick with MSI, but thought I would stick my neck out and go for the top end. First impressions the box it came in is awesome, really well packed and something you might actually want to keep. Unlike all other boxes which I have owned.Once in, the motherboard looks sweet, fits in my Thermaltake P3 perfectly. The two zone RGB lighting is subtle, but in an open case is awesome. The only gripe I have is as default the RGB crosshair text on the top of the IO plate is set to turn on while the PC is off,or in hibernate, and if you have to reset your BIOS, it will put it back.Other than that, would recommend this board, and I am happy to answer any questions!

Overclocked to 3.9MHz stable within about 5 minutes. Managed to get 4MHz at a higher voltage but not really necessary. Seems that 3.8-3.9MHZ at around 1.3 volts is the sweet spot for performance VS power/temperature.Using the latest BIOS (1403 AGESA 1.0.0.6) I was able to get my G-SKILL F4-3200C16D-16GTZR running at 3200 using DCOP standard settings only (Hynix die).NB. If you mess around with overclocking and your CPU keeps clocking itself at 1.55MHz when booting into windows (which happened to me a few times) go back into the BIOS and change the Voltage back to 'Auto' and lower the CPU multiplier- 37 (3.7) will work on pretty much all Ryzen chips. After doing this start messing around with voltage/multiplier again.Personally I wouldn't bother using the Ryzen Master software as this seemed to cause problems for me after already using the Bios to overclock.

I read the reviews on this board ahead of buying and one thing struck me - those without a clue were complaining and returning them. Everyone else made them work - even with the earlier BIOS version (mine shipped and worked with 702).Asus are moving heaven and earth to support their customers and create BIOS updates - I'm very pleased I went this route, especially given the scope for overclocking.

If like me you are looking to upgrade your motherboard this is the one to go for. Perfect for gaming and normal use! much faster than my older Intel motherboard (brought about 3/4 years ago). Service from ASUS I always find to be decent so have no questions about ordering an ASUS AMD board. Was a bit worried going from Intel to AMD however I had nothing to worry about, works perfectly!

Got it from amazon warehouse, fantastic deal, looked like new and performs as such. Looks fantastic. Ram oc was really easy. yet to oc cpu. Reinforced pcie slots also work wonders. supports both am4 and am3 coolers as long as you have an am3 backplate.

Top of the range motherboard for AM4 chips cant be beaten, unfortunately my first board was D.O.A (dead on arrival) error code 08 on debug screen..but amazon quickly sent me a replacement within a day and all is great !

Asus have done it again, this is a great board packed full of everything you need, M2 mount is a very welcome addition to the AMD lineup for motherboards and the sheer no of USB 3 ports is a blessing.
