This is a review for the B450M DS3H AM4/B450/DDR4/S-ATA 600/Micro ATX Socket - Black.Ryzen 2600 worked out of the box, the memory speed intitially was only 2133mhz, but a quick configuration change in the bios changed that, the bios has an inbuilt setting to let you max out your memory. BIOS POST takes 6.7 seconds which i do still think is too much time but granted I have a few peripherals connected. GIGABYE has software to let you check stats, perform fast boot, monitor (Although i couldn't get this to work) and overclock (not tried yet). The black colour is superb, with the default amber RGB light it silently stands out in the case. The RGB options I haven't tried too much, from what I have read this board does not support the full RGB spectrum (only three colours are supported from what i can see), if RGB is what you are after, I would reccomend researching into this. The bios firmware revision is at first release, it works well though without any issues. The menu seems convoluted to previous firmwares I have used, but it is not bad and has a nice help tab also. This is a micro board, I was aware of this when buying but with hindsight a full sized motherboard may of been more future proof, more SATA slots and pcie slots can be usefull. If you put a large GPU, it will cover the pci8 slot, and two SATA slots (although you can get right angle connectors and hook them up first). There is also one case fan connector also (you can get a splitter but I think it messes up rpm feedback monitoring). Note this problem is with most micro mobos hence why I have not taken a star from the rating.Overall, so far a great purchase and works well.

The motherboard is great for the price. I have a Ryzen 5 2600 processor which fits and works perfectly without any need to update the BIOS.If you do plan to buy this motherboard be wary that if you decide to get a big beefy 8gb graphics card like shown in my build then you will not be able to use the other PCI-E Slots on the board as the big graphic cards cover all the slots, which was a little annoying as I wasn't able to fit my Sound Blaster Sound Card. but that's not a big problem as I plan to upgrade the Motherboard at some point anyway. I just got this one as a cheap motherboard to tie me through.1 thing to note is that if you have a Ryzen 3000 series processor you will need to have a 1stor 2nd gen Ryzen processor in order to update the BIOS to that you can use the 3rd gen+ processors which is kind of a major flaw. But other than those 2 issues its all round a brilliant motherboard and will do the job.You get what you pay for so you cant really exspect it to be an amazing motherboard for the price.

I'm running this with a Ryzen 5 2600, 2x16GB sticks, an NVMe drive, a couple of SATA SSDs and a RX580 and performance and stability are absolutely rock solid. My choice of case limits me to mATX boards, and although there are quite a few out there, this was easily the best of the bunch for me. Having a board that's part of the Gigabyte family is worth the small premium above some others, and the quality of the board is great.I've not used the stock heatsink and have fitted a Noctua AM4 specific model, which requires removing the AM4 retention brackets (leaving the backplate in place), which was incredibly easy to do.The board layout is very easy to work with, and the additional heatsink covering the NVMe slot is great for cooling down toasty/fast drives.A cracking board all told and you'd be daft to pass this one as a choice.

Arrived quickly, well packaged, easy to install, went to Gigabyte website to install latest drivers etc, son plays online gaming and works really well with the Ryzen 5 2440G. I have done budget build list and included this product on Amazon which you can search for - AMD Budget build by Cal-M - or if you would like to see a video on three Ryzen builds just look me up on You-tube "Cal-M complete pc budget builds 2019" in search and you will see the logo. Very pleased with this product has 4 Ram slots 2 large PCIe ports so can install a graphics card when I upgrade it, plus it has a single PCIe port which I have put a Wi-fi card in, the sound this board outputs is good also, happy with purchase.Full hardware/wiring Installation video now on youtube too - software installation video to follow - happy building

This motherboard was for my mATX case. I used a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, 16Gb 3000Mhz RAM and a RX580 GPU everything was recognised first time and even when installing Windows I didn't have to tell it to boot from the NVMe drive. The on board LED light strip is not very impressive but I didn't purchase it for that. I haven't over clocked the CPU yet but so far everything is working fine.I was going to buy the Asrock B450m board after reading some reviews, but this board is perfect and brings my build in budget. Also, upgraded the firmware without any problems. Connectivity is excellent as I only have a few USB devices plugged in, the monitor uses the graphics card so irrelevant here.I can't compare it to anything else of this generation as I haven't used anything else.

I Bought this as I was trying to fault find a pc issue and also that it was cheaper to buy a new mobo +2x8gb ram instead of 2x16gb on their own so that i could have 32gb! (Turns out the problem is the cpu )The board itself is reasonably well built but lacks fan headers which i was used to on my previous 350 board, not a major issue as i then purchased some 4 pins fans so they could be daisy chained. The board does the job, but lacks some extra features which are locked out in the accompanying application and that is the ability for the board to automatically overclock the cpu.If your on a budget and want a 450 board then this does the job, just lacks the extra features of a board maybe £20-30 more.

Fantastic budget Ryzen motherboard.Good looking motherboard, without all the frills and over the top LED seen on other modern "gaming" boards.Mine is fitted with Corsair 3000Mhz RAM and a Ryzen7 3700x CPU.The only downside with this board is that it only has two fan headers. Ryzens do run hot with the stock CPU cooler and need good airflow. So you'll need to install Y splitters or a fan hub for additional intake and exhaust fans for your case. Which is easy enough...The Bios is a little confusing at first, but has for all the tools and goodies you need to a overclock your memory, play with CoreBoost, PBO, Auto-OC and tinker around with manual overclocking should you want to.

Works perfectly with a Ryzen 2600 out the box and has a good amount of I/O for all your peripherals and other devices. It only has one case fan header so for those who want to put more that 2/3 fans in their case another solution will need to be figured out. I have a fan splitter to fit two fans and it works fine. If this motherboard had more than one chassis fan header id give a 5 star although this may hold me back in the future if i want to have more fans and easily install them. Id advise for further information on this motherboard GO TO GIGABYTES WEBSITE, they have a whole web page dedicated to this motherboard and its features. Its a great motherboard for the money.

Pros;-Works well for a non-overclocked system.-Simple clean look.-4 dimm slots on a micro atx board-Good I/OCons;-Yellow led strip in left corner is a bit out of place but thankfully can be turned off-Only one system fan header so you'll need a fan hub if you need for than 1 case fan-Paper manual was very brief, however gigabytes website manual is much better-Have only been able to reach 2666mhz on 3000mhz ram, however i am not an expert on overclockingOverall a cheap no frills motherboard ideal if your on a tight budget and still want 4 dimms and plenty of usb 3.0 ports(I did not buy from amazon so cannot comment on packaging)

The board:Very nicely packaged, very good quality with very high end features and components.i am using the Aorus Elite with a Ryzen 5 3600x, which out of the box does NOT work. The board (unless you are lucky and get a brand new one with the latest bios update) needs at least 4-5 bios updates in order to get compatibility with Ryzen 3k. without the bios update the system is useless, black screen with absolutely no post. PLEASE NOTE: TO UPDATE THE BIOS FOR NEW CHIPS YOU NEED A 1st/2nd GENERATION RYZEN/ATHLON PROCESSOR. i bought a used Athlon to complete the process. The board is fantastic, updating the bios for Ryzen 3K is a pain.

For £85 this comes with two NVMe slots one of which having a heatsink. This is great as buying an NVMe with a heatsink is usually £20-30 more than a normal one, this mobo will save you a bit of money in that regard. As expected the XMP profile is incredibly easy to set up with a drop down tab allowing the approriate speeds of the RAM you own.Only 'issue' is the unnecesary plastic they put near the IO, in my case I ahd to remove two fans just to fit this in, as the plastic excedes the standard height meaning it wouldn't natively fit in.All in all great board 9/10 would recommend

The board is a quality product and the instruction manual comprehensive. Once the m/b was fitted to chassis the main fan header was awkward to get to. The boot up LEDs were a boon, the VGA LED telling me it could not find a monitor. This turned out to be my lack of knowledge, the I/o panel includes DVI and HDMI sockets. The manufacturers details talk about it supporting DVI and HDMI but after some research I realised that integrated graphics need a graphics capable cpu. This was solved with a moderately low price PCI graphics card and all powered up no problem. One happy camper.

Paired with a Ryzen 5 2600, RX 580 and 16gb RAM, this is a huge step up from my ancient office PC that once had an XFX Radeon HD R7800 (1gb) series or whatever from 2013 and it works amazingly. The only problem with the mobo is the lack of clearance between the first pcie 16x slot for the GPU and the 1x slot beneath which gets blocked by graphics cards covering 2 slots. This means you can't put any network cards in there and so you're forced to use the other 16x slot which is not ideal, but it still works.Ethernet cable users will have no clearance issues with this board.

I'm more than thrilled with little beauty, it has gone above and beyond, for OC it's not exactly ideal, but for a casual gamer that want's all the fancy rgbs and colour them then this is for you, I bought this without much research and to say I am more than happy with what it offers for price, for a ryzen 7 2700x and a rx580 for casual gaming along with an WD NVME for OS and adata SSD for games, not encountered a single issue with board, and have manually upgraded bios to latest version with no sweat ( be sure to read bios install notes befor updating). all in all 10/10.

25.5.2020

This motherboard had been a great base for my build with sufficient dimm slots to accommodate up to 64GB of ddr4 ram (4x16gb)Everything works as expected with a great easy to use UEFI bios with a nice looking GUI.My main gripe with the board is badly placed sata ports, most dual slot graphics cards will block at least 1 of the SATA ports if 90 degree (to side) SATA cables aren't used. If you're running 3 SATA interface drives then there's no problem, but using all with a graphics card can be a nightmare, hence I recommend to use a vertical GPU mount if possible.
