I purchased this product to pair with the newly released AMD Ryzen 3900x. When it comes to motherboards there are a lot of options to choose from however with past experience of owning and building with a MSI motherboard (B450 Gaming Pro Plus) I knew I wanted to purchase from them again, one of the major pros is that they provide you with an easy to navigate manual written in a way that is easy to understand and follow which is a huge benefit to new builders. The MSI BIOS Flashback feature is also a big pro, being able to update the BIOS without the necessary CPU can save alot of time and hassle, I personally did not need this however in the future I will.1)The BoxWhen you first open the box you are greeted with the motherboard, carefully removing the motherboard you will find an entire compartment filled with a variety of helpful accessories. The box includes the following...- Motherboard quick Installation guide + Case standoff notification- MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WIFI; User Guide- Thank you registration card- Driver Utility Disc- MSI Sticker badge- Two M.2 Screws- MSI Product information leaflet- MSI SATA Cable labels- MSI WIFI Antenna- Two SATA cables- RGB CablesMost of these accessories are fairly standard, the one thing I was surprised to see and was pleased with was the MSI SATA Cable labels, I didnt expect for them to be includeded however they were very useful and will continue to be in the future.2) MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WIFI MotherboardThe Motherboard itself involves a lot of useful features including boosts such as an Audio Boost, DDR4 Boost and Core Boos and the new PCIE GEN4 all of these help provide that high grade performance I was looking for. The board features RGB which helps with visuals. I wanted performance and also wanted a good thermal solution and I am happy with how this board handles that with the Frozr heatsink design aswell as a M.2 Frozr thermal solution to cool the M.2 SATA or NVME Drive. I was very happy with how much suppport the board has, you can install 6 SATA drives, 2 M.2 Drives, up to 128GB of DDR4 4400 Ram, not including overcloking which is helped masively by the VRMS that this board provides. I will never run out of USB ports as there are 4 USB 3.2 GEN 2 ports aswell as 6 USB 3.2 GEN 1 Ports and 6 USB 2.0 Ports on the front and rear if the motherboard. I chose this board over other products as I felt it included everything I needed as well as more, it fulfilled my needs beyond my expectations including a build in I/0 Shield and Onboard WIFI.3) InstallationAs I previously said, all MSI boards are a pleasure to build with, they have a very simple but helpful installation guide aswell as the User Guide, with these two manuals and the case manual its very hard to go wrong, the board itself shares alot with previous generations of MSI motherboards in terms of the placement of fan headers, the CPU, Motherboard and SATA Cable locations so with previous experience its very easy to know where cables go, aswell as a user guide which is very helpful too. The built in I/O Shield removes the hassle of trying to line up the Ports with the shield and hold it in place to screw in the standoffs which was a nice quality of life update, there is nothing complicated that will cause problems during the installation steps, RAM clicks in easy, the CPU Slots right in, the graphics card is held very stuirdy in the PCIE slot, some other branded motherboards can cause it to sag more however this MSI board does not, and other MSI boards.4) Stenghts + Weaknesses for the MPG Gaming Pro Carbon WIFI MotherboardStrenghts;- Built in I/O Shield- Built in WIFI- Top Tier VRMS and thermal solutions (Chipset + M.2)- RGB- Carbon Visual Design- PCIE GEN 4- Tons of USB Ports- 128GB DDR4 4400 (Non Overclocked) RAM Supported- SLI Supported- Variety of onboard Boosts (Audio, DDR4, Core)Weaknesses;- At the time of writing this review I do not currently identify any weaknesses with this motherboard.4) Summary (TLDR)I chose to go with an MSI Motherboard over other brands due to the easy to navigate Manuals, MSI BIOS Flashback and the BIOS itself is very easy for new builders to understand. I chose this specific Motherboard for the Built in I/0 Shield, the FROZR thermal solution on both the M.2 Slots and the Heatsink, aswell as the built in WIFI with the Inlcluded MSI Antenna and the onboard boosts (Core boost, Audio Boost, DDR4 Boost). The product fulfilled 100% fulfilled my needsm it exceeded my expectations by including the SATA Cable labels which I did not expect. The user experience of building with this board is a pleasure, a few of my favourite aspects that helped this was the built in WIFI and the built in I/0 Shield aswell as MSI BIOS Flashback for users who may need to update the bios with no hassle. I would 100% recommend this board for any AMD RYZEN 3000 ZEN 2 CPU, Including the future 3950x due to this boards very good VRMS.

Installation of all parts to the motherboard was a very easy process. Everything is laid out tidily and the board itself feels quite sturdy (which is comforting for those of us like myself installing a wraith prism cooler!). For those who aren't used to the features of this generation of MSI's AMD motherboards, all of the components are explained in an easy-to-digest format in the user guide. There were a few ports that I was initially unfamiliar with - this helped explained them. The guide also gave very helpful directions for how to connect parts - one that was particularly helpful for me was the installation of the M2 SSD. This motherboard comes with a heatsink for M2 SSD,a feature I haven't made use of in a motherboard before. It was a very easy process, and was very clearly laid out in the user guide. A couple of the screws are a little small and fidgity here, but that's only to be expected considering the number of features packed wonderfully into this board. The I/O shield comes already attached to the motherboard, which I found to be a nice feature I haven't seen before. For those who may make an error when installing parts, or have any parts malfunction on them, the board has a very handy "EZ Debug LED" system which helps highlight where the malfunctioning hardware may be. There are four categories: CPU, DRAM, VGA (GPU) or BOOT (booting device). Those with experience in building PCs will know just how useful these are. I can personally vouch for this, as they helped me identify a rookie error I made when building my PC this time round (did not seat the RAM properly - terrible I know). After installing my operating system, I updated the motherboard's BIOS without any difficulty whatsoever. It was very easy to quickly find the file on MSI's website, and was surprisingly fast to update via USB. All of the drivers are also very easy to find in the same place on MSI's website, if you need to reinstall them for whatever reason. As someone who can get frustrated with convoluted manufacturers' websites which seem to try dissuading their users from finding the downloads they need, this was very refreshing. The motherboard also plays very well with AMD's 'Ryzen Master' software, which allowed me to effortlessly overclock my AMD Ryzen 7 3700X at the click of a button using Precision Boost Overdrive (something this generation of Ryzen CPUs has become known for being capable of). Activation of the A-XMP memory profiles to boost your RAM is also incredibly easy in the BIOS. If you'd rather push your RAM to further limits, the motherboard offers an easy alternative called 'Memory Try It' which saves you the hours of painstakingly adjusting your RAM with a fine-tooth comb. This definitely makes overclocking your RAM more accessible to those with less experience. I've found the BIOS layout very tidy and easy to navigate. The motherboard itself has got a slick, clean, tidy yet characterised aesthetic which encorporates all of components and features nicely. After I attached all of my parts, I found the greyscale layout with both smooth and textured surfaces really complimented the aesthetics of the rest of my items. When switched on, there's a soft, slowly pulsing RGB light on the back which is really nice. It's not overpowering enough to light the contents of my case, just soft enough to add some more RGB and tastefully so. If you're someone like me with a windowed case or otherwise, for any reason, care about how it looks - you likely won't be disappointed. It's certainly the best looking motherboard I've ever owned. There's a lot to this board and its features that I haven't spoken about. Ultimately, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend MSI's MPG X570 Gaming Edge Wifi to anyone looking to make a leap into the next generation of Socket AM4 motherboards.

This motherboard is pretty, well laid-out, powerful, it feels well built and was easy to install into the case, the problems came with the software/firmware side of things, which is the only reason this isnt getting top marks.Once installed I decided to check out Dragon Centre, this is a remarkable little product which saved me loads of time downloading drivers and features as it did it all for me, it also controls the RGB LEDs all over the computer and has a great OC utility which gives a great amount of control, however, the only way to put things back to defaults is to uninstall it and it's associated software, which is a pain.[The next part is a little long so feel free to skip down to "TLDR" section further down for the summery.]The problems came with the BIOS.1)Precision Boost overrides Bios settings which it disagrees with. The Ryzen 3000 series uses something called Precision Boost which, to put it simply, will overpower your Ryzen chip when you need it and compensate for the hit to lifespan by underpowering it when you DONT need it, which is great, but the voltages it puts through the CPU at peak are a little high and the BIOS has no working feature to limit this, and even setting a fixed voltage in BIOS is useless as PB will override this making a lot of the OC settings in BIOS useless. There is one saving grace here as Dragon Centre (which I really came to love) will override Precision Boost.2) Precision Boost Overdrive is on by default in the bios and you have to go digging to find it.Precision Boost will undervolt and underclock your processor when you are doing low-performance tasks to extend its lifespan so that it can overclock and overvolt the processor in bursts when you need the extra power, which shortens the lifespan again, but it balances it so that the overall effect is a standard lifespan for your CPU. Precision Boost Overdrive says "who cares about lifespan, just make it as powerful as you can without overheating", this is on by default. -_-3) Updating the bios can be dangerous. The V1.20 bios turned out to be unstable, at least for me, it caused Ryzen Master to crash as soon as I opened it and made the system intermittently unable to read the CPU temperature, instead reading it as 0 degrees which meant the fan turned off and the thermal safeguards that are supposed to kick in when it overheats didnt work, if i didnt keep temperature and fan information on a 2nd screen when I game this could have killed my PC. I rolled the BIOS back and all seems well, but I am using Dragon Centre to keep the Fan at full for the next few days just to be sure. (yay Dragon Centre)TLDR: The BIOS could use some major improvement, and some versions of it (V1.2) can kill your PC if you are unlucky and not careful. After all the above was sorted (finally) I got to gaming and enjoyed a blissful time killing zombies swinging swords and so on with all settings at full and not a care in the world. To sum up, I cant fault the hardware at all, this is an excellent Motherboard, the software can be a little controlling of your system, but i really came to rely on Dragon Centre, it seems to be missing a few features but what is there is great, and new features can always come with updates, the BIOS is the main problem, but if you know what you're doing and are careful you can avoid any serious disasters. The key problem here is just that I am an early adopter, the motherboard is brand new, as is the chipset, and so there are still some bugs to work out, some more serious than others, but when they are fixed i would recommend this motherboard to anyone.EDIT: The issue with the fan turning off happens on V1.1 BIOS too it just took a little longer, all things considered I think I just got a faulty board as i have seen no mention of this issue anywhere else.

The x570s are the board to buy for the latest Ryzens and this MSI motherboard is a good purchase.Right off the bat the PCIE4 and improvements in the VRM performance make this motherboard a better choice than older x470 or b450 motherboards but they do come at a increased price, so please factor that into this analysis. The box itself comes with all your basic accessories like SATA cables and drive disk but a really nice touch was the stickers meant for cable management, which I feel can be really handy for some enthusiast builders. Also, do make sure to use the manual as it does give good direction on installation and troubleshooting. The look of the board is great,it has a nice premium finish on all the heatsinks and contains quite bold MSI branding but not obnoxious. The black and grey scheme and pattern looks professional and high quality. However, I was slightly off-put by the chipset fan but after using the board for some time, it only spins when under extreme load meaning its perfectly quiet under normal operation and doesn't take visually take much away from the baord. The RGB is actually a little underwelming and would have been nice to have RGB on the top of the board or at least more of it but it's a nice to have and not a deal breaker for meThe rear I/O (usb and audio etc) on the motherbaord is fantastic, and the inclusion of a USB C port really sets it apart from a lot of the competion and was a big plus for me.The motherboard I/O (fan headers) are perfectly adequate but nothing to rave about. The majority of the headers are on the bottom of the board, as it is with most. There are 4 fan headers for case fans which was barely enough for me with a big case, so perhaps 1 extra one somewhere else on the board would have been nice. A nice addition was having 2 internal usb 3 headers which is great if you have lots of front panel connectors. 2 M.2 sockets is fine but the most important thing to note is that the chipset heatskink extends over the M.2 socket allowing you to cool your M.2 SSD!The debugging on this board is also well thought out and practical. There are "EZ" debugging LEDs on the surface of the motherbaord which indicate where faults in the system are (CPU/RAM etc), instead of needing a speaker to hear the beeps, this makes diagnosisng issues a lot faster. There is also a usb port which is capable of flashing the bios without the need of any components on the board, which is an extremely helpful feature for fixing 'bricked' motherboards. They really have thought of a lot of everything in this area.My old system had a wifi pci card so moving from that to built in WIFI and bluetooth gave the board a noticable aesthetic imrpovement because it no longer needed an extra pci card to stick out, but also improved WIFI performance with the addition of 5Ghz.One thing that shocked me coming from an old system was how impressive the BIOS was. Its simple to operate and gives you the ability to swap between "EZ" mode and advanced depending on your level of expertise. I had no issue applying the XMP profile of my RAM to 3200Mhz which was a known issue with older generation Ryzen chips and motherboards. For many people who will be pairing this with the latest Ryzens, I can assure you this will work out of the box without any config but it is recommended to update the BIOS when you can to improve the performance of the CPU.At this price however, I would also like to see the option of SLI, but as I can imagine for most people, this really doesn't matter as the majority do not make use of multi-GPU setups.Overall, the MSI Gaming Edge Wifi came in above my expectation; it offered everything I needed and more with minimal drawbacks and I would recommend the board to anyone looking at pairing it with a 3700x ryzen or above.

This is my first MSI Motherboard for many years, as part of a major system upgrade/replacement. My last PC was built about 5 years ago, this was a complete replacement for it with pretty much the latest hardware. The components of the build included a Ryzen 3700x (This is a stop gap until the 3950x), 2080 Ti Graphics card, 32Gb RAM, a couple of 1Tb SSD’s all within a Phanteks case. I think this is all important to include as it gives a very good idea of what I wanted to build and the components I was working with. We all know how important the processor and graphics card are, as that tends to be what we pay the most money for. This was an example where I paid more for the Motherboard than the processor, which was unusual – but the big question was “is it worth it”?So why did I choose the MSI MEG X570 ACE? Well this was a research project in itself, but basically the board had all the features I was looking for – USB 3, USB C, Heatpipes where needed on the board to keep the temperatures down (which seems to be a major issue with some of the other boards), potential for overclocking, the RGB being able to link up with the case and the upgraded Wi-Fi.But was it worth it? Yes.The build was simple. All the connections on the motherboard were clearly labelled, making the installation a breeze – something that isn’t always the case on motherboards. The quick installation guide along with a comprehensive user manual helped with this too. The included cables were enough to connect all the other parts to and to ensure I didn’t have to buy anything additional. Once everything was in the case it looked great, the black and gold working really well together and matched my planned RGB colour scheme. A lot has been said for the potential fan noise on the motherboard, but apart from hearing it when it loads up, it hasn’t really been heard since. This was a big issue when researching and deciding if I should buy a last gen board without one, just to ensure this didn’t affect the case acoustics and be louder than everything else. Luckily this doesn’t seem to be an issue. I was using four 8Gb 3200 ram sticks, with nicely overclocked to 3600 (I haven’t tried pushing them further yet). The graphics cars went in smoothly and with lots of space still below it (it is almost takes up 3 slots). With everything installed, it was then just plugging in everything to the back IO shield (preinstalled which was nice) and then time to boot up. I did wonder if I would need to use the bios buttons on the back, but they were safe for now but useful to have for later. The install of windows went perfectly, everything recognised on the first attempt, software all working as planned. There is lots of additional software available to install but I haven’t started to experiment with this yet. There is a wide range of feedback about it, so this is something I will take my time getting used to. I haven’t tried to overclock the system yet, but that is mainly as I am awaiting the BIOS updates to slow down, as there has been a number of them already with it being a brand new system. Wi-Fi worked well and ensured I could update everything (and finally retire the LAN cable going around the door).I am still not sure on the game boost button on the motherboard, especially going up to 11. This isn’t something I plan to use (because it just isn’t explained well and there seems to be better alternative solutions for overclocking).I am very happy with the product overall and look forward to seeing what it can do with both this generation of Ryzen processors and the next. Yes it is expensive, but everything so far tells me it was a good investment to go with the rest of my system and as future proofed as it can be with the additional features when compared with cheaper boards.

The MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI Motherboard has to be considered among the top of the line boards out there for it's price point. This board does Not lack features at all when we get down to the nitty gritty spec. Why buy this motherboard? Well if you want RGB, Gen 4 PCI-E, on board Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, Built in I/O shield, fantastic cooling solutions, 2nd and 3rd gen cpu compatibility for those who haven't made the jump to gen 3 yet and many many more features.... then this is DEFINITELY the board for you - and all for an affordable price.Okay so if you want to unlock the true potential of this motherboard such as PCI Express 4,I would recommend that you make the plunge in getting yourself a gen 3 cpu.As previously mentioned this board has many great features and a top notch spec for a medium to high end board for $250. You can find the full spec on the MSI website if need be, i am mainly giving you my experience of the motherboard and not just echoing the features that MSI have already revealed. With my gen 3 cpu, I'm able to get a steady overclock of 4.2ghz on all cores set at a voltage of 1.35 but i'm no master overclocker so you'd most likely be able to get more juice out of yours.I was able to overclock my trident z rgb 3200mhz RAM by a few hundred ghz - this board i believe supports up to 4400.I ran a few tests and temp wise everything was nice and cool inside my meshify c case. All components and the board itself didn't show any problems or overheating due to good airflow and to note on the board it has frozr heatsink design, m.2 thermal shield frozr so you do get the best performance possible while maintaining great temps.Aesthetics wise this board does the job nicely due to the carbon fiber which is massively popular nowadays and of course... RGB goodness along the side and top left hand corner which i think is strategically placed due to components covering the motherboard you are still able to get a nice glow.Price point - $250 which i think is incredible for what you are getting. If you take a look at other companies such as gigabyte, asus and you try to match up a motherboard in it's price range, you clearly get more bang for the buck with this board when comparing the spec / features. My favorite aspect of this motherboard would have to be the compatibility for gen 2 and 3 because not everyone will have the money to go out and purchase a new cpu as well as the board so the fact that they can bring your existing amd gen 2 cpu and still get great performance is a real winner for the consumer. The main reason i chose this product over other competitors (i did a lot of research) - my price point was around $250 - was because as previously mentioned i get a lot of features for a medium - high end board, you get a great overclocking capabilities, good cooling solution AND of course built in Wi-Fi. I struggled to find a fantastic motherboard at this price point with built in Wi-Fi. MSI took the cake when it came to this. After using this board for a few days, i can definitely say that it has fulfilled my expectations in every single way and much more. I didn't think for a $250 board id get fantastic performance but MSI pulled it out of the bag once again. I literally have no complaints on this product.I can't quite think of any complaints/constructive criticism apart from maybe more RGB ;)Thank you MSI !!

First of all packaging is great and has a distinct premium feel and that expends to the board itself. Simply unpackaging it was a joy and made it clear this was a step above anything else I've had.A lot of features that manufacturers sell their boards on end up being redundant or just plain gimmicky. To my astonishment this wasn't the case with this motherboard. with features literally helping me when I was having issues getting my system to post. This was the "EZ Debug LED" system that has an array of lights in an obvious location that light up on post letting you know how individual systems are, its split into CPU, RAM, GPU and BOOT. I was getting a red light on RAM and sure enough a re-seat later and we were off to the races. That was something that could have taken hours to resolve but was simplified thanks to the design of the motherboard. and don't worry the lights don't stay on after post so if you are worried about that don't be.Speaking of: overall I was very happy with the layout of the board my only issue would be there being no fan header for the rear case fan within easy reach and I imagine you would have the same issue with any top mounted fans as the majority of them are all lined up at the bottom of the board. Which brings up onto the I/O.The I/O has ports I didn't know existed before this thing turned up. But its al very clearly explained in the documentation that comes with it and the majority of it is optional like the RGB headers.Normally I always select advanced options in the bios of a motherboard but they have pretty much made that redundant with the fantastic simplified mode you are greeted by when entering the bios. Everything I could have wanted was there and more importantly: MADE SIMPLE. Don't get me wrong the advanced option is still there but if you are just moving boot devices priority or applying a quick overclock they have you covered. There is even an option to test overclocking the timings on your memory with presets something that would be far beyond the majority of PC users. But here it's easy and accessible. The board is absolutely solid when it comes to performance, I've run every test you can think of and its a true machine, never choked or halted. So should you buy this board? Well if you are coming over to AMD from intel and looking at the new Ryzen line of processors (Which you should! They are Great! Even for gaming!) then this board perfectly balances features with simplicity and cost, and the inclusion of wi-fi is the cherry on top as far as i'm concerned for those times you can't get a wired connection in.If your on the fence, go for it you won't be disappointed!

I was looking to go for the ryzen 3900X when amd release their new cpu. And I was looking for a new X570 motherboard. I previously had a X470 carbon pro gaming. And then motherboard has been a rock since I brought it so I thought I would give msi another go for my X570 motherboard. And I decided to give the msi ace motherboard a try. Here is my review reviewThis motherboard is the highest if there gaming range (only 2 motherboard so far are higher there prestige and the godlike). The first thing that caught my attention was the colour scheme black pcb with gold accents really grabbed me one it looks really nice and also ties really well with amd 50 years celebrations. The motherboard is featurepacked latest PCIe 4.0 is the main headliner which whilst I haven’t been able to fully test yet I will in the future.Installation went without any troubles. Plenty of room around the CPU socket easy access to install my nvme ssd with the included heatsinks to cable positions of all the internal headers for usb audio and front panel etc.On first boot up it did take a while to send a signal out to my monitor ( heart in mouth situation) and got greeted with the new cpu warning and to enter the bios which I didMsi bios is like if it isn’t broken why do any major changes . The bios is very good very quick to navigate no lag. Everything in the right place and simply to use and understand I set my ddr 3600xmp and booted straight into windows. The included dragon center software suite is a major upgrade over 5 or 6 different apps we had before so simply layout simple to understand a major step in the right direction there.Sound quality is excellent and there Numanic 3 sound software is amazing although I do feel Realtek should make driver install easier and actually use windows desktop apps and not the windows store took a while to sort that out .Performance overall is amazing my 3900x overclocked to 4.4 all core with ease and even at stock the boosting was to 4.2ghz all core and about 4.5ghz if less cores coupled with easy Xmp setting for memory and amazing soundThis motherboard has Wi-Fi ax or Wi-Fi 6 bundled with it whilst I haven’t gotten a router to fully use it's very good with my ac router and speeds are very highOverall this is one amazing motherboard great bios great performance. Great sound and so many USB ports and everything that I wanted . Although I must admit the price was a bit off putting but after I got the motherboard I think even that is very reasonable for the overall package I received.

This is a very aesthetically pleasing motherboard, it has lots of features which is very good at this price point for an X570 board. It has lots of features in the bios for overclocking, but you do need to know what your doing. The bios has two settings e.g advanced mode or easy mode, however I feel AMD haven’t left much headroom to overclock the 3700x generally, I digress. When combined with the AMD Wraith Prism the onboard LEDs and the Wraith Prism compliment each other and can be controlled it terms of brightness and colour through software which is very nice. The motherboard has 2 m.2 slots at PCI 4 and I use one of them as my boot drive giving my a faster Windows 10 boot and smoother applications. It also has 1 usb C connector which is important for additional peripherals for me as well has the other usual types of USB. It has a lots of room for custom RGB peripherals including RGB fan headers on the motherboard. Setting up is a breeze as the setup pages of the manual has the square QR codes which take you straight to a YouTube video showing you how to install that particular part of the motherboard properly. The only issue I have is that there is no Clear CMOS button on the back of the motherboard (I wonder if they can do a bios update and add the feature onto the bios flash button on back of the motherboard). I like doing some mild overclocks and occasionally I’ve had to reset the bios using a jumper on the motherboard which is a pain and not easy to get to. On the upside this motherboard goes very well with DDR 4 Corsair vengeance 3200 MHz LPX which I’ve overclocked to 3733mhz and is fully stable. I’ve read that this memory is well suited to MSI motherboards on forums.Overall some people may argue to go for a cheaper motherboard but to be honest I think the fact it is an X570 board and it has a range of features such as Bluetooth 5.0 and Wifi 6, I think it’s generally good value for money and should be future proof for a couple of years at least. I would recommend this product and think people will be happy with it.

This motherboard was purchased for a content creator PC, 3D rendering and video editing. So the PCIe 4.0 makes a massive difference in productivity.Yes, it's expensive but totally worth it in this case. Also, this is one of only two manufacturers of X570 motherboards on the market to have models that run a heatpipe from the chipset to the VRM heatsinks. This means that the fan will only run under load if the heatsinks can't cope, and under normal use, the fan will probably never run.The other motherboard manufacturer with a heatpipe is far more expensive, does not have the features of this board and if the VRM heatsinks don't dissipate the heat, it will have to thermal throttle.I much prefer having the fan on this motherboard as a backup if heatsinks can't cope.On the subject of the VRM and temperatures, this motherboard has a beefy VRM which means it doesn't get hot enough to stress the heatsinks, so most of the heatsink is cooling the chipset. This also means there is very little chance of thermal throttling which would otherwise slow your computer down. The other important features on this motherboard are the massive amount of USB ports (up to 23) and the M.2 expander card which gives you space for 2 more M.2 drives. This motherboard also appeared to have the best memory support from my research, both in terms of the number of memory modules tested as working and the highest speed memory support. This also has fast network connections, 10G LAN and Wi-Fi 6, so great for fast internet and transferring files between devices. This isn't even all the features, just the ones most important to the PC I was building. As for negatives, there really aren't any I can see. That's not to say this is the motherboard that everyone should get, it is clearly made for creators who are going to use the higher core count Ryzen 9 CPUs.One thing I would say is this is a large motherboard, so check it's going to fit in your case.

It proved too hard to ignore the Ryzen pull and i've returned to AMD.I'll list of my spec's to begin with and my review will follow. I've had the graphics card for a year now and it too is MSI- AMD Ryzen 7 3700X- Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4 3200 MHz- Samsung 970 EVO 1 TB M.2- Corsair Hydro H100 x 240 mm Radiator- MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti GAMING 8 GB GDDR5I like to start with the negatives first, and i have only one:1 - The carbon cooling/heatsink etc at the top of the motherboard prevented me from mouthing the radiator to the top of the case, HOWEVER, this could be construed as a case fault/poor research by me.And now onto the positives1 - Very good price (entry level really for the X570's)and it came with WiFi 6 (AX)2 - All of the LEDs can be turned off if you like, which i was going to do....but it syncs up nicely with the graphics card and i've grown to like them!3 - Connectors....so so so many. Internal and external there so much you could plug into this bad boy, and USC-C onboard is very cool4 - The M2 drives are hidden beneath the heatsinks (also, the M2's have heatsinks! Full speed ahead baby!)5 - The layout of all of the connectors has been very well thought out. I prefer a case that lets me hide everything round back, and this board has allowed just that.6 - Performance has been spot on too. I've had no slow down and everything is humming along nicely. I've barely scratched the service and am running everything at default because i have no need to ramp it up...yet. But i'm very happy with everything from the read/write speeds of the M2, the graphics cards available bandwidth right down to the ethernet adapter and drivers that have stopped dropping the connection drops i was seeing on my old box!A happy customer here indeed. And perhaps an LED convert. Not i just need some silent fans as i actually want to keep this on my desk and enjoy looking at it!

the msi mg x570 gaming pro carbon wifi is a really nice looking motherboardthe rgb is all controlled by the dragon app which i found to be very easy to use. There was lots of custom settings available to change i could sync up other rgb components in my build. My 4 year old son approves even my partner said it was pretty awesome. The motherboard has two m.2 gen4 pci 4.0 slots which have there own frozr shield heatsinks.the frozr heatsink covers over the chipset which is activly cooled by a fan i didnt fdind it to be loud in fact i didnt notice it at all. There is six sata 6gb ports for storage i found to be enough for what i needed.there could be a couple more usb ports on the i/o but i have a usb3.0 pci card anyway so it didnt really matter to me.i plan to put a 3900x ryzen 9 into this board but at time of writing i am using a ryzen 2600xthe vrms has 10+2 power stage delivery so i hope its enough for the ryzen 3900x.There is a massive heavy duty heatsink on the mosfets to aid cooling. There are lots of fan headers on the board with full fan control letting me control how fast and noisey i want them to be depending on what im doing.there is 2 pci x16 slots both enforced by steel to strengthen your gpu.Strengthsthe rgb makes the board stand out compared to other boards in the price range i foundperformancefrozr heatshield with active coolingfuture compatiblitybackwards compatibilitywifi 6bios was easy to navigate roundWeaknessescould use a couple more usb ports on the i/othe price is a bit much compared to the x470 version but being new gen its understandableoverall i had no problems installing the motherboard in my case. installing the msi software was easy enough. im very happy with this product i would have no worries recommending this to others.

This motherboard is great to pair with a Ryzen 3000 CPU.Choosing a motherboard can be confusing, as there is so much choice. After a lot of time and research, I settled on the x570 Gaming Pro Carbon to go with my 3700x, and I am really pleased with my decision.Everything worked out of the box. Installation instructions were clear and simple. A lot of other manufacturers have had high profile issues with their release bios, this MSI worked perfectly for me.The chipset fan is very quiet, and chipset temps are low because of the good heatsync and layout design. The MSI Frozr heatsync and fan compares very favourably to other boards that my friends went with (ASRock, and ASUS).My GSkill 3200c15 worked first time with the XMP profile(even though it wasn't on the QVL list), and the board was very happy running them overclocked at either 3200c14 or 3600c16. The BIOS has lots of pre-programmed memory timings if you want to try overclocking. It's great if you aren't an expert in overclocking. Memory results will obviously differ depending on the sticks you choose. The new Dragon Center software is one of the best bundled software packages I've used. It contains all the programs that control motherboard features (LEDs, fans, updates, Wifi, performance monitor, network monitor and tools). All of these are in one place, rather than needing to install 5 different programsThe board also had a full feature set that matches some more expensive boards. Wifi, Bluetooth, high-powered VRM, metal heatsync for the Chipset and NVMe drives, error LEDs, large number of ports and connectors.I'm naturally quite a critical person, but this board exceeded my expectations.

I tried various motherboards with my Ryzen 3700x and they all had problems, then I saw someone on Reddit with this board. So after all my previous refunds went through I then proceeded to purchase this board. Received it the next day at 11AM. It's taken me nearly 12 hours to fully set up my PC, (Loads of cable management. RGB lights, fine tuning of fans. software installs ect.). In those 12 hours I haven't found a fault with the board, Audio is crystal clear, I love the Nahimic app. Temperature is normal, and the CPU is working as expected, (maybe not hitting full boost just yet. But hopefully will in next BIOS update). The only issue I have is the RGB controls, there's no options whatsoever in the BIOS to control the RGB lights. The only way to control them is through the Dragon Center app which has been known to cause issue with the BIOS and Ryzen 3000 series. Touch wood I have yet to experience any problems. I will of course update here straight away if anything occurs.Would I recommend this board for an average user?YES!What about for an enthusiast?Yep!Is the audio clear, (No interference or noise)?Audio is crystal clear. Is the on board fan noisy?Nope, I haven't actually seen it spin up. unless I set it manually to do so in the BIOS. I have it currently set to Boost and it still hasn't spun up yet.I hope this review helps anyone out in buying this motherboard. It really is a feature rich motherboard that is totally worth the price.Feel free to ask me any questions.

As usual, really impressed with MSI. I have had MSI Motherboards as well Graphic Cards before and never had any problem with them. When choosing a motherboard, I always look at the specs and features I will need. Solid PCB, a re-enforced metal PCI slot to handle even the heaviest GPUs and a great design. The new MSI x570 Gaming Edge Wi-Fi has everything I was looking for. A really powerful built-in Wi-Fi Card, my router is located downstairs and I am having full bars at all times, less than 1ms response and not a single packet loss. The 8 USB Ports at the back is definitely a plus for all my USB accessories. This number of USB ports is usually found only on much more expensive motherboards,so was really happy with it. The memory support is also really good, capable of running at 4400+Mhz. I am using a 4000Mhz kit and without any hassle the motherboard identified the XMP profile as 4000Mhz. Good as gold. If you are between a x470 and x570, don’t think twice and go for this, the PCIE 4.0 will be future proof, not to mention the better VRMs for the Ryzen 3000. I got a 3600 and using the Auto OC feature, it reached 4.3ghz on All cores, 100mhz more than the max advertised clock. Overall, I am really satisfied with this motherboard and glad I went for it. Will definitely buy MSI products again.
