What's this...A motherboard in 2020 without RGB....sign me up.I like RGB but I use it to choose the colours I want, I also use case lighting for that very purpose but often times motherboards just have mad lighting that really doesn't add much.This board won a special place for me because it breaks from the current norm and doesn't have any.Bios is nice and easy to use, keyboard and mouse navigation inside really helps, with plenty of included headers for most needs.one down side is that it only has 4 sata ports, this wasn't a big deal as I just moved all my mechanical drives out of the system to a new nas build.I was replacing an older x370 board nothing wrong with that at all,but the lack of memory support and ryzen 3000 support was causing performance drops when I was using the 3900x.Alongside this board i decided that a gen 4 NVMe drive was in order, totally worth it...get one.Installing the board was simple enough, had to make some minor changes to my current cable routing but nothing major which was nice.check reviews before purchase you really only need to use 1 x 8pin cpu power plug so if you don't have 2 don't worry they run in parallel on this board and don't change anything, if anything the MSI should have left it off to prevent confusion. AMD don't actually produce a cpu that can draw that much power to bring that to it's knees. you could in the realm of liquid nitrogen cooling and draws but seriously that's a niche use case for the second cpu power socket.NVMe, I have 2 installed, a gen 4 in socket 1, and a gen 3 in socket 2. they are both up and running and working with no issues, socket 1 uses a direct link to the cpu and it's pci-e lanes, while socket 2/3 both use the pch to talk to the cpu. previously the only way I could have 2 installed was in raid mode so this is nice to have for additional fast storage.A few niggles getting the ram to run at full speed but after a couple of boots and tweaks it was all fine and is now stable at the appropriate speeds.For anyone water cooling, I use a metal hardline cooling loop. I had to make 2 new lengths for the gpu -> cpu part, previously there was an offset from outlet on the gpu to cpu so it was a bent pipe, now they are not offset, additionally the down tube had to be remade because of a slight length difference. nothing else needed changing.An impressive board from MSI, thank you so much.

i got the x570 GAMING PRO CARBON was ok but this come out 4 months later and its so much better in every way the cooling on the bored is amazing no rgb is nice but comes with all the fan headers your ever need and rgb contotrs as well as nice looking all around this bored is the best bang for the buck at the moment all so msi move the fan down so gpu does not cover it means gpu is not pumping as much hot air on the chipset , the heatsink is all metal as well and this board is heavy as of that just buy it you wont be disappointed . i am running an 3700x boost on all cores at 4.27 and 4.4 single core using an be quite dark rock 4 cpu at lowest 39c and max 66c gaming

Paired with 3700x and 32gb corsair dominator rgb ram, xmp took it straight to full 3200mhz speed seems rock solid after 3 days.Bios easy to navigate and straight forward no complaints at all.

this is my seccond msi motherboard, easy to install ,nicc bios good to use .no RGB is diffrent other product but a little bit expensive.
