This is overall a great machine, especially for the price it was when I bought it. It has fantastic performance in general computing and in graphics (the GPU on this model is solid for a non-gaming machine). With a cheap and easy RAM upgrade the multitasking capability is excellent. The screen is really superb - big, clear and bright. However this is the Fusion drive version, and it just isn't as good as an SSD. My much older Windows machine, with a 2012 processor and a relatively cheap SSD, can load programs much faster. Make no mistake, the read rate is a bottleneck. I also had a problem with this machine where it broke completely after a week and required a new logic board (under warranty of course),but everyone I saw at Apple was surprised by this, so I don't think it's a common failure. If you get it cheap (it was about £500 cheaper from here than from Apple direct when I got it), the tradeoff is probably fine. If the saving is small, get it from Apple, pay for an SSD and take the hit. That's what I would do now.

Its a Mac they are brillint everything in one place. I use my iMac for photographic work. Using Photoshop and other apps and the size and clarity of the screen is fantastic. Cant fault it at all but will the price change in the next few months?I bought my New iMac 27" at the end of August, that week Trump announces that he is putting 10% tariffs on 300 billion imports from China. Especially Tech products.Apple although making a profit this year so far. Shares have dropped by 4.41% = $908 million loss in 1 day.Right now we have no US-UK trade deal or and don't forget Brxit.Amazon was the cheepers play on the internet to buy an2019 iMac 27" I paid £1,569.00, Apple was charging £1,749.00 for the same machine. While writing this review I noted that at the moment there is none available. I would suggest if your going to be buying one or thinking of buying one get it now. For both the 21" and 27"No EU trade dealAnd Brexit

Fantastic high-end desktop mac. You get what you pay for. In this case I got more than I paid for because the Amazon seller's price was so generously discounted (KRCS Group Ltd, Apple Authorised reseller - highly recommended), I got the top model for very little more than the price of the lower spec. The biggest wow factor has to be the retina 5K screen; the clarity is truly amazing, especially for text. A couple of comments for Apple: 1. Models at this end of the price range should have SSD drives as standard by now (although the fusion drive seems to be doing a good job of emulating one; it's blazing fast and I haven't yet heard any moving parts). 2. 8Gb of RAM is not enough working memory and they know it,although it is easy and not too expensive to install the necessary upgrade.

With the rumours of a new iMac being announced and released soon, I was gonna wait, but decided to take the plunge and finally buy. Amazon gave me the option of paying in instalments also, so thought why not ? Even with only 8gb ram (which I’m planning on adding more too soon) and a fusion drive installed, got to say it’s fast and actually perfect for what I will be using it for.Edit:Yesterday I upgraded the ram from 8gb to 40gb with Crucial CT2K16G4SFD8266 32 GB Kit (16 GB x 2) (DDR4, 2666 MT/s, PC4-21300, Dual Rank x 8, SODIMM, 260-Pin) Memory.Link Belowhttps://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071H38422/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_gN-VEb2VZW15RIt runs brilliantly now with the increase of ram :)

I have been an iMac user for several years, owning an iMax 17 inch plus a MacBook Pro 13 inch. I have never had any problems with them and use them everyday for work from 9am - 6pm. The MacBook is also used for roughly 12 - 14 hours a day. Those who leave 1 star reviews are the usual non apple fans or those who are being paid to leave negative reviews. If you want a quality computer then the only brand to buy is Apple. Yes they cost a lot but you get what you pay for and thats quality performance. I will be buying the new 2020 iMac within the next 2-3 weeks which I know will last me for a good 3-4 years.

The headline says it all.I have an Iphone and an iPad which serve me very well and as my PC needed replacing I decided to purchase an iMac to handle my hobby photos, editing and a few household spreadsheets. My iMac arrived superbly packaged, was easy to set up and despite having a slightly larger monitor was much more compact than my old tower equipment.I am well retired and I found it very difficult to adapt to the new way of handling files and spreadsheets but am getting the hang of photo editing and I am sure, given a bit more practice I will be absolutely thrilled with the HD monitor.

I'm really surprised that this is so much faster than my old 2013 i7 16GB iMac. Ok 6 years is pretty long in technology but all my applications seem to be pretty much instantaneous, even the resource heavy photo editing apps have no lag when editing RAW files, which was my main reason for upgrading. One other point - This is the lowest spec 2019 27" with just 8GB memory. Before buying this I was planning to buy an additional 8GB as an upgrade but currently I don't seem to need it.Overall, really happy with this and fully recommend it!

I have always been a Windows user. I tried the imac for the first time in an apple shop and was blown away. I immediately purchased one, I'm not into pc gaming so I don't care about that but the speed of completing tasks, the screen, the speakers are amazing on this machine. Mac os is a doddle to learn. I dont see myself going back to Windows anytime soon if ever.

Absolutely fantastic service from Amazon delivery driver was absolutely amazing really good service and good customer support as yet I will wait to turn it on but really happy so far and once again the livery driver is really really really good

This 2019 iMac replaces my 2012 version - which has given outstanding service. This new iMac is not the very latest as a 1Tb disk was required, but the improvements in speed and screen display are exactly as hoped.

Very happy with this purchase. Nothing else to say really. It arrived on time, well packed. Works perfectly. Exactly the same as straight from Apple, but about £500 less expensive. What’s not to like about that?!

By far the best and fastest money can buy. Apple certainly are expensive but their products are superb and this iMac is just amazing. Love it’s simple slim design and just finishes my office desk off beautifully.

Absolutely perfect. I’ve been after one for a while and finally bit the bullet, I also purchased an extra 32gb of ram separately and installed myself which was a simple job and it works like a dream

This iMac is superb, stylish powerful, great screen and Mac OSX is so much better than Windows 10. The only downside is the mouse which is still pretty useless (come on Apple).

6 cores of Coffee Lake processor. Much faster than the previous one, which was 2015. I have added more memory, and watched the Geekbench result climb further. Recommended.
