Ok, paid 82 pounds for my 1600AF which is crazy(not from amazon). For your money you get 6 cores and 12 threads and performance comparable to ryzen 5 2600. The difference in price isn't big on amazon so probably it makes more sense to buy the 2600, but if you shop around you'll find better prices.The cpu comes with an amd cooler- wraith. It's nice of them, but sell it, bin it or give to charity. It works and that's it. I realize that buying and aftermarket cooler is an extra cost, but you don't have to buy a noctua- between 25 and 35 pounds you can find sth decent. Pair it with a decent GPU and you'll have a strong 1080p gaming PC.My old i5 6600k at 4.4Ghz was worse than r5 2600 at stock speeds.

For those that don't know, this is not just any old Ryzen 5 1600.. this is essentially a Ryzen 5 2600. As long as your part number as got an "AF" in it, you're getting the new 12nm version which is what you want!It's an incredible performer and paired with an RX 580 which can be had very cheap these days too you have yourself an extremely capable gaming PC at a very low price. Highly, highly recommend this CPU for anyone on a budget, don't let the price fool you, it's an extremely good chip with it's fast and updated 6 processing cores and 12 threads.

What can i say its an extremely hard chip to get your hands on.On 1st test it was running a lower score then my previous 3400g on heaven benchmark butWith a bit of over clocking i got it running at 3.9 ghz and now its a beastBut if you are looking fir out of the box performance for gaming there are better around the same price tagMother Board msi morter maxCPU 1600afGPU RX580RAM 3200 16 gbPSU 550 bronze

What a performance boost over my FX 8350, great "bang for the buck" £70 pre-owned upgraded to a Ryzen 5 1600 6 core 12 thread and unlike the newer 3600 no bios issues, AMD have also left room for overclocking which is so easy.when mated with a MSI B350 Tomahawk mobo (£40). On the look out for a pre-owned 8 GB RX 570 to complete my latest build (£80) all for the price of a 3600.

Started with the R3 quad core and after OC it was up to 3.92Ghz and scored 577 with cinebench... ☺ i was so impressed that I then sold my R3 and gt a super deal of £150 on Ryzen 1600 ... whithout oc this chip scored 1008 points on Cinebench ? most popular games all playable in ultra settings. Great start for 2018..really happy with Ryzen ?

I have had a very good experience with this cpu so far. Runs at about mid 40’s high 30’s with the wraith cooler under load is around the 60’s. If you are looking to overclock or just want cooler temps. A after market cooler would help. However not completely necessary

Seems good for £100 at the time I bought it. This is a new 12nm version and benches better than a 2600. My first foray into Ryzen and I've mated it up with a MSI Tomahawk B450 and 16Gb Corsair ram. Stable and snappy system.

Amazing cpu for the money we'll worth the purchaseWas an upgrade from my old i5 4690 so I got a huge performance boost with the 1600 I managed to get my pc to 4.2 ghz (on water) and haven't had a single issue 100/10

Not as quick as my last 6 core amd, socket am3+ @ 3.2 ghz, but uses less power, that's my main concern at mo, I've got more ram to counteract the lack of power, but everything's slower for certain.

I got this as the previous processor in my machine was at the point of being annoyingly slow. This is not a super fast processor, but its great value for money and its doing what I need it to.

I seem to have bad luck with cpus when it comes to overclocking at low voltage. I'm running it 3.95ghz all core at 1.25v 40-50c during light use, 72c when under heavy all core workload.

Absolutely stonking CPU. Performance is utterly great 6C 12T. Very fast and punchy prosescor. If you fancy a cheap 6 core 12 thread. Then this is the one for you.

I bought this for my daughters budget PC build and its a great value CPU. its a do it all machine and perfectly capable for running 1440 gaming. Very pleased

First build I've done with AMD and this first gen 5 600 is excellent value for money per core/performance!
