This processor is amazing. It's a $45-55 APU (which means it's a CPU with stronger integrated graphics) that runs off of modern hardware, meaning it is wonderful for those looking for a noticeable upgrade path in the future. The support this APU will likely get into the future is wonderful, and if all you do is office work then I don't see any reason to spend more money. The same is true for gaming, as if all you want to play are popular multiplayer games like Fortnite, CS GO, League of Legends, etc., on a limited budget, as long as you are okay with lower settings, you can even do it on the impressive integrated graphics. If you're looking for emulation, too, this is a wonderful processor. It can also perform well in many modern games, if you plan on using a budget GPU like the 1050, 1050ti, 1060, or 1660. Of course, if you plan on playing all the latest games at max settings at 60fps or higher at a 1080p resolution or above, you'll likely need to look elsewhere. It's also great for overclocking, even on the included budget cooler. For my use-case then, which is as a college student who does light last-gen gaming whenever they aren't working on classwork, this APU is wonderful for just that. It being a dual core may cause issues in modern games, but I eventually plan on upgrading it to a Ryzen 5 since it supports the same architecture, saving me the additional money it would have costed me to purchase a Ryzen 3, while I wait to save up the money. The only issues I've really had is with Minecraft, as it is a game that loves cores no matter what GPU you pair it with (so if you plan on playing Minecraft, I'd recommend at least a 4-Core Ryzen 3), and that it runs so cool that the integrated fan might honestly be overkill, but if all I can really say is that it runs too cool, then this is a pretty cool purchase. One last thing I will say, modern Ryzen and Athlon APUs love ram speed, so be sure to pick up the fastest ram speed you can afford, and be sure the ram is running in dual channel mode for extra performance (this means instead of buying one ram stick of a higher capacity, buy two ram sticks at lower capacity that can run in dual channel).

Bought it for our new HTPC. Installed it in an ASRock Fatality B450 Gaming ITX/ac AM4 motherboard, since it supports this processor (but only 200GE, not 220GE or 240GE) right from the get go, no BIOS updates needed. Updated the BIOS to version 1.70 nevertheless. Works great. For those who are new to the AMD platform, be sure to install AMD chipset drivers first, and then Adrenalin drivers for the GPU. Don't bother with All-In-One packages, IMO. As far as the processor's performance goes, I did notice CPU usage spikes up to 70% when surfing, watching Youtube or installing software. So, don't expect too much from it. On the other hand, for occasional gaming (Rocket League tier of games, mind you)it does pretty well, I must say. I presume it will perform even better with older games (but not GTA IV, for instance - 30ish FPS with medium/barely high settings, but GTA is known to be a CPU hog, so that shouldn't suprise anyone). Hardware decoding of 4K Youtube videos works flawlessly, but it does utilize 30-60% of GPU, while CPU utilization is minimal (less than 15%). Used it with stock cooler for a few days, and it worked great even though it's installed in a pretty small In-Win IW-MS04-01 ITX case (not much room in there). Nevertheless, splurged on a Noctua NH-L9a AM4 cooler. Works even better. So, as far as CPU performance and price go (even though we paid premium price as far as 200GE goes - 61$), give it a go (especially if you can get it for 50$). Plan on replacing it with 2200G in the (near)future, though. Was too cheap to pay 35$ more for a 2200G. Nevertheless, not too shabby. Recommended.

This little APU is the king of budget builds. There just isn’t any way around it. I never OC my builds (well not permanently) so the fact that this APU is fully unlocked doesn’t matter to me. What does matter is the $50 price tag and at that price, you can’t lose. This little thing can run a 1080P monitor under any circumstances south of high demand productivity and serious gaming. I mean, you didn’t buy this thing for a gaming rig, right??? The cool thing is that with its AM4 FF, you can upgrade. Let’s say you have a good GPU in you old build that just died, this CPU will get you through on a budget until you can afford that Ryzen beast you’re eying.I only knocked off a star because Amazon put “gaming” as a rating criteria. This little chip won’t game without help. If you’re on a budget, this little guy will get you through.

I've developed a mild infatuation with this little APU. At this price point ($49 - DON'T pay the scalpers $100+), you won't find anything better. 3.5 GHz, Vega 3 graphics (which run circles around Intel's UHD graphics), and a power draw of only 35w. Amazing!I like to build machines with these little APUs, pairing them with plenty of fast RAM and an SSD, then run them for 8-10 years before I upgrade them again. This particular build is for my wife, and is an upgrade from an AMD A8-3850 APU, which was built in 2012. I paired it with a B450-based motherboard, 32GB of DDR4 3000, a 1TB SSD, Ubuntu Linux, and it's off to the races, where it will serve my wife well for the next 8+ years.

Pros ::::I am using windows 10 64 bit , it is working very fine and also it can do video editing at this price it best for valuebut you cannot use it for heavy editingCons ::::first thing at cons is the outer packaging was damaged , the inner packaging was good nothing problematic for me.secondly the fan came with processor had not the AMD logo on it , it looks like local fan you can see in images, and the fan makes little noise but again at this cheap price , what would you expect??and the third actually for this i couldnt categorize in pros and cons , beacause the fan we attach on motherboard has the flip to attach on motherboard , i was expecting for screws.

Okay, first of, I only purchased this to do a Bios Updage on my Gigabyte b450 Aorus Pro WiFi. Due some defects I kept having to swap out boards until I got a permanent replacement, so I decided to keep it installed until my permanent solution was available, this thing can hang, if you throw a newer GPU such as anything RTX, it will bottle neck, but I had it with a RX580 and it did amazingly well. It could run any game I threw at it. Once I got a permanent solution I actually threw this into my kids pc for kids games and without a GPU it can run those. It was the MVP of my current build and now a permanent member of the family as my kids pc. Good job little CPU.

I've been a fan of AMD APUs for some time. Have a few systems I built years ago running A6, A8 and A10 (7870K) APUs (all on the FM2+ socket) , all are still going strong. The system I built around the Athlon 200GE draws about 1/3 the power of the A10 7870K system, and for everything I use it for, works better than the older APUs. I have been experiencing random system freezes (once every 6 hours up time/requires a hard reset/no event log), but I think this is down to not using the latest firmware for the MoBo (GA-A320M-S2H, F22), and issues with the Linux Kernel and Raven Ridge APUs. Running Ubuntu 18.10, Patriot DDR4 2667.

This isn't going to play games well, or do 20 things at once well, and it certainly won't make coffee, tea, or anything else you may fancy. However, it does the basics (browsing, email) just fine, and it stays cool. I actually got this just so I could passively cool it, not a single moving part in my entire PC!!! Again, it still hasn't made any drinks for me, and it cries when I think about gaming on it, but that's not what it's for anyway, I have a 2700x for other "stuff." Seriously though, if you want quiet, cool, and just do some basic things, this chip might be for you! Or your grandparents...

I purchased this instead of a Ryzen 3 to get me by until ryzen 3000 gets released, and this CPU scores almost the same as my second gen i5 I was replacing. Temps with the stock cooler barely go over 40 under 100% load, and overclocked to 3.8GHZ it just touches 60c. Stock score in cinebench r20 is 720, overclocked to 3.8 it scores around 930. Very pleased with it. Gaming performance on the igpu is pretty impressive, performing better than my i5 2320 and radeon HD 6670 in all games, GTA5 returns about 45fps on medium settings 1080p with 2666mhz ddr4 in dual channel.

low power consumption, very quiet fan [included], it does hardware/GPU h265 [4k] and h264 decoding keeping the CPU nearly idle, it will run just fine on a 150/200W small form factor power supply in an ITX case, it is also great as a desktop CPU for basic tasks and even some non hardware demanding games - for sure the built in Radeon Vega GPU is better than any of Intel's integrated graphics. It is also Linux friendly. Personally, I am impessed with AMD and this 200GE APU after being a fan of Intel since AMD K6 times (...)

This processor is used as my 'office' PC that I play simpler Steam games on, watch videos (stream) and host conference calls / do software demos. I am impressed by this chip! Not only am I powering 2 separate monitors, a video conference, voip software and some pretty browser intensive software -but it does all of this while pulling around 35-40 watts, tops. Compare that to my older intel system which is pulling 140 for the same workloads. Impressive for a chip+motherboard+ram combo that was under 150!

I got this as part of a replacement for the aging and failing system my wife has been using for 4-5 years. It was based around a Phenom II x3 720 and the Athlon 200GE was a solid upgrade. It does everything my wife asks of it. Internet browsing, watching videos, listening to music, or basic Microsoft Office tasks are easy for this CPU. Her new system is fast and responsive and uses SO MUCH less power than her old retired gaming machine. Over all she is pretty pleased with the performance.

535/5000I reviewed this CPU on my Youtube channel for use in gaming both by using the internal video card and an external video card and I can tell you with the right settings, it plays well for those who want a maming PC without spending too much. FPS quietly, tested on Fortnite and it's fine.To make the most of it, I overclocked up to 3.8Mhz and the system was stable and crash-free. I do not recommend using the stock heatsink and of poor quality, buy one separately!

AMD Athlon 3000G is grate for 50$ do not pay the scalpers not worth 100$+ :) even good for games with hyperthreading it can play triple-A games. the integrated iGPU does good for a cpu+gpu for 50$ even used hardware makes this look good. overclockable- low heat- cheap. don't pair with a 2080 or 3060ti tho. good match is gtx1050-gtx1660-rtx 3050. if you buy a gpu more that 6X the price you should consider upgrading both cpu+gpu at once. good luck and have fun!

Personally I used this to boot up my computer to update my bios for another cpu by ryzen but this is a really good cpu for low budget gaming and for people that are just barely getting started with gaming. I would only recommend this to people who do not have the budget to buy a higher end cpu such as some of the other ryzen products but at the same time if you are just looking to run your computer for work or searching stuff online, I would recommend this.
