Nothing wrong with the product itself - it's gold plated high quality. But what I didn't realise until I connected a TV to a DV tape player is that there's no connection for the colour component of the signal through a SCART connection - so the picture can only ever be black and white. There a plenty of discussion websites talking about the problem with S Video to SCART - but there really isn't a solution other than taking the SCART plug apart and moving leads about. However all this apparently achieves is to change the higher quality component arrangement to the lower quality composite of AVI. The lead packaging is totally over the top - and to get the lead out the robust plastic container has to be cut open.
