I have been using multiple step-up rings to make my way up from Ø49mm to Ø77mm, so I can attach my IR filter to my lens; this makes for an oddly sighted and a bulkier set-up.This adaptor gets straight to the point as it's just one ring I need to use. Perfect.

I needed this to adapt filters onto the slightly 'unusual' 40.5mm thread. I can now use 52mm filters- or larger with step up rings.The finish is very good and the thread screws onto the lens with smoothly with no hint of binding or roughness.

It's a step up filter. It takes a smaller camera thread, and allows you to use a bigger filter on it.With it being a simple metal ring, there's not a lot that can be said. But the filter goes on and off easily.. what more can you need?

Just what I needed for my 50mm prime lens instead of buying step up rings from 49mm up to 77mm. A one piece item straight from 49mm to 77mm
