I bought this PC game for my son after he had played it at a friends house. He has not stopped playing with it since and neither has my husband!The graphics are great, very realistic, the closest you can get to actually driving a combine.It has also taught him a little about saving money, planning ahead and some mathematical skills as you need to make more money to buy new machinery.The game works best with a steering wheel. You can use the keyboard but it is more difficult to control the vehicles, we started out this way while he saved up for the steering wheel, which we managed to get for £25. If you are going to play the game a lot then you really do need this as it gets frustrating otherwise,

I often think that the best Simulation games provide an insight into the simulated activity with a healthy degree of realism, and often that realism includes a high level of repetitive drudgery. If it doesn't lets face it its not a simulation, its just a game.Farming Simulation does provide all of the above, together with a need for business planning, marketing skills and a delightful graphic environment that makes it a pleasure to play.Of course its not entirely realistic (not even the most devoted simulator fan would want to sit watching corn grow for six months of the real year): and there are flaws (what difference does the weather actually make?) But on the whole enjoyable,

Highly original idea and given plenty to think about especially when you don't have a farming background. Graphics good but not strictly a simulator.Only bugbear I have is that although it advertises use of a steering wheel it won't recognise mine and I can't find anywhere that I can configure the use. Forum pages are in German and even when translated using inbuilt microsoft translator it can be hard to use.

My 12 year old son is dyslexic and wasn't keen on using the laptop. I now can't get him off it!! He is learning the best ways to get good deals for his crops as he is desperate to buy bigger tractors and machinery. Definately for all farm lovers whatever the age. His 16 year old brother loves it, too.

Well I must say, this game has changed my whole view of farming, in my view, one of my all time favourite games. All different types of farming vehicles are on offer, and I can only say that I was stunned by the wquality of the sound and picture. Truely Fantastic!
