As our first ever induction hob, the ACM822/NE has kind of set the bench mark. We previously had a gas hob, so I became very used to coldwater coming to the boil a little slowly. For that reason I experienced a few pans boiling over during the first few days of getting used to the induction hob. I appreciate that the top left ring has a boost setting for ultra fast water boiling for example, but to be honest, unless I have a pan which fits that large circumference, the rest of the rings are incredibly efficient at getting up to temperature. I have been using a variety of different brands and ages of induction compatible pans and have experienced the clicking sound when using the hob at a low-power setting.I am reassured that this is completely normal as induction hobs can create a variety of noise and vibrations, just how gas makes a stronger sound when on high. The touch panel is simple to use, just press the on symbol, then select the ring location and increase or decrease the power setting. I usually aim for 8 to get a rapid boil for rice for example, before lowering to 4 or thereabouts for a simmer plus a lid. If I remove a pan from the hob for a few seconds the heat transfer will stop and if the pan isn't returned at all it will automatically switch off completely which is reassuring. If I need to lift the pan to shake the contents for example for a few more seconds, the heat returns almost immediately once the pan returns and normal cooking resumes. The design is very sleek and I much prefer how streamline it is on the kitchen worktop in comparison to a stainless steel gas hob - although it does mean that any spillages or overflows can flood onto the worktop rather than being relatively contained. Having said that, it is a complete doddle to clean. I currently haven't used any cleaning products on it other than wiping spillages up quickly and after each use with a wet and wrung-out stove top e-cloth. Overall, we would absolutely recommend this hob. 5 stars!

I have used this hob a few times now and I like it. It seems to be able to simmer my veg at a lower heat setting to my old induction hob. I like the boost feature on one of the hobs, it would be good to maybe have another too. The controls could be at the side of the hob, but this is just a personal preference with having young children. I like the timer feature, for cooking ring, but I have not been able to adjust the time once set, unless I turn the whole hob off/on again. The hob will quickly turn off when something has boiled over.

It's ok and functions well. Just disappointed that it's not as good as the discontinued ACM 804 which had power boost on all jobs and a simmer button as well. Also could set that ones buttons to come on at a setting rather than starting from zero on this one.Proffered the bevelled glass edges on the 804 as well.But that model seems to be history so have to make do with this functionable product

It fits to the place of our old electric hob and looks very nice. It is really easy to use, generates heat quickly and it seems to me that it is very efficient. The switching buttons are at the front - however, with children around, I think it would be safer to have at the side.

Amazing - love it ! Very easy to use. Moving from a basic electic hob, this has been wonderful. The control is pretty much instantaneous, in terms of turning heat up or down the pan responds immediately. Really easy to clean. Looks good in the kitchen. Couldnt fault it.

I just want to say that it's really easy to use it heated up a pan of cold water in minutes and cooled down very quickly could touch it within minutes without any heat highly recommend this hob for anyone with children or older people as its so easy and safe

First thing all my friends notice is stylish design and very easy to use. The thing I like the best is built in child lock - I have kids at home :) so I feel much safer now! Cooking on it is fast & real pleasure !

Really like this hob. Does exactly what you would expect from an induction hob, heats up instantly and stops heating instantly. So easy to wipe clean. Looks good in the kitchen. Would definately recommend.

Fantastic product! Stylish design that suits any kitchen and very easy to use. The function I like the best is the built in child lock. The Hob heats pans quickly and it's very energy efficient.

The induction hob was easy to install, it was the same size as our previous hob. It heats up very quickly and it is easy to use. I like the locking method - very useful with a child around.

So happy I bought this I changed from gas and the induction hob is so much better I won't change back
