It was time to buy a new hob to replace an old hard-plate one. After researching many different hobs on offer from different retailers I came upon Argos and was pleasantly surprised at how affordable this product was. The Argos webchat team answered all my questions and I ended up going to a store to buy. The service in store was second to none and I can definitely say Argos will be my first port of call in future. The product was easily installed within an hour and works like a charm.

We are impressed with this hob considering how much it cost. It looks very stylish in our kitchen complimenting ourblack fronted cooker nicely.The rings heat up instantly and are as controlable as gas. Our last cooker was an old inherited electric one with rigid rings; it was just so slow to heat up and even more slow to cool down. So this hob is a huge improvement.It marks easily however with food or even just water spillsbut buying the correct hob cleaner sorts this out.

Given that I'd prefer a gas hob and can't imagine ever being totally at ease with an electric one, we're generally pleased with this hob.It was available for collection three days earlier than expected. Great price.Easy to fit and set up.It heats up quickly and cools down in reasonable time, I suppose.It looks neat and tidy.My only gripe is that in the manual, the cleaning instructions are vague and self-contradictory. I would like to see specific cleaners recommended.

Excellent quality and value. Looks good and is easy to clean. I particularly like the controls being on the right hand side and they are also removable so that you can clean underneath them. The hob heats up almost instantly, the top heat being very hot so you can turn down when cooking and save on your electric bill. Light indicator on the front shows which part of the hob is being used or remains hot.Very practical appliance for busy people.

installed in our kitchen no problemlooks much more expensive than it iscut out the hole for the appliance and screwed on the 4x spring clips hold it central so you just pop it out if you ever need to do repairs on it. has a lead with no plug I just wire into the main box behind the cooker works fine.fittingmark size out on worktop with masking tapemark with black pencil drill a hole and use jig saw to cut out the holerobbie

This is an excellent product. However I was very impressed by the performance of the Argos staff at the Southampton West Quay branch. The young lady on the till was friendly and efficient and the goods came very quickly. We asked for help to get our things out to the car and this was supplied. The young man who took our things out to the car was very kind and helpful..All in all we were very satisfied.

my old hob broke so I needed one in a hurry whilst there was someone to fit it, so had very little choice as this one was the only one for store collection. it was out of stock at my local store but had one in another store. looks good and for the price you cant go wrong, would have been better if it had a child lock like my old one, and the rings are not that big..

Although the hob is very easy to use, It takes a bit of scrubbing to get the glass clean, Otherwise, its great, Quick heat up and cool down. We had to buy some more electrical wire as it wasnt long enough to reach my plug ( due to my plug socket being on the opposite side to where the wire is fitted on the hob) , Since set up-no hassle,s....I would recommend.

I wanted a hob with knobs because the touchpad type seemed to have more to go wrong with it. This hob heats up far quicker than my last Whirlpool hob and was a very good buy. I've given it 4 stars for cleaning as because it's black, shows every mark and/or crumb. I've bought a scraper in case I need it for any spillages that may be hard to remove.

The hob looks very smart and is easy to clean. I had it fitted by an electrician and he said it is good quality. It was well packaged on delivery. The heat plates work well, but the touch buttons are not very responsive. It sometimes takes a few frustrating minutes before the buttons react to turn the hob on. Overall I am pleased with it.

Good quality and value product, as mentioned on other reviews why pay more money for a name, you can see it is the same layout as the more expensive ones and they are probably made in the same factory as the more expensive ones its what's called badge engineering, this replaced a more expensive one that only lasted approx 3 years

Bought this hob for my son who unfortunately dropped a heavy item on his last hob and cracked it. This is the third one of these hobs I have purchased, one for myself and the last one that my son broke. Did get it cheaper last 2 times as I purchased an oven with them. Still good value for money and would recommend.

This Hob is a good spend. I found out the best way to clean it is with a hob cleaner liquid and it will be as good as new. One thing I found alarming was that while using a wok when you have to toss stuff u cant move it while it is in contact with the hob as the hob will get scratched. Rest it is a good buy.

Pleasantly surprised when I opened the well packaged box, a very stylish hob which companies well with more expensive models.Easy to install as it was a replacement for a old hob in an existing worktop.ITime will tell if it is as long lived as the old hob but I have no reason to think it won't.

This hob is exceptional good value for money,(got it at a sale price...less than in the catalogue).It is well made, very easy to fit (,replacing old unit)..Very controllable and relatively easy to keep clean.A very nice gloss black finish and the controls are logical and well marked.Recommended.
