I've had the xs for a while now and just received the s. I got the s as a travel bag as the XS is just slightly too small for more than a day or two away.The xs is the perfect work/gym bag - big enough for a full set of gym gear (shoes, clothes, bottle) and a laptop (in a hard case because there are no internal compartments).The S is quite a bit bigger than it looks from the product shots and a lot bigger than the xs. Bear in mind that the largest sizes of these bags are enormous so small isn't that small. The S will likely suit most people for a 3-4 days away, the XS for a night as a day bag.I love the design of these bags after initially thinking they were kind of goofy looking.

I use this bag for the gym primarily though it has also been suitable as a weekend bag as you can easily fit in a couple of jeans, couple of shirts, couple of sweaters, spare pair of trainers, underwear and toiletries. I have been using the bag for around a month and it seems robust and showerproof. The zips are really chunky and there are lots of grab handles. The back pack straps are good but sometimes the top buckle tends to slip, which is a minor inconvenience. The only downside of this bag is that the separate compartment at the top is really small and not much good for storing wet gear after working out.

Have the large but wanted something for short trips/ hand baggage.Perfect weekend bag. Easily fit a pair of mens shoes and a fold umbrella along with clothes for different functions over trip.No one looked twice at it on multiple European carriers. And it easily was stowed away even boarding last on a full flight.It could easily deal with enough stuff for a lightly packed week trip.No hand middle straps on this variant but didn't miss them at all. Shoulder straps are very comfy.

Love the bag, very comfortable to carry and keeps everything organised. I use mine for the gym and it fits my boxing kit and makes its it really easy to access having the top loading lid.My only glitch is the shoulder straps that feed through the buckle tend to slip, so when i run to the gym they do become lose quite quickly and have to be regularly adjusted.Other than that though a great bag!

If you've got one (this is my sixth North Face bag of this sort, I think, all different sizes or multiples for the family) you know how brilliant they are. Waterproof strapped on the back of my motorbike in fairly solid rain for 45 mins, chuck it around, never damages, never wears, zip always works.Cheaper substitutes are not good enough. North Face bags are the business.

Love this bag for its capacity, and compression straps. Hard wearing and well made, like all their other products.Only gripe is the previous model had two handles so you could carry it like a holdall. They're missing on this model with just grab handles at either end. So you either have to put it on a shoulder or shoulders or carry it at one end.

The first day I used this bag, I was knocked off my bike into a canal.I can honestly say that this bag is extremely waterproof - my items in the main compartment were all dry (including my laptop). Not only that, but it acted as a buoyancy aid and stopped me from hitting the bottom.So impressed by this bag!

I used this bag for a 3 week trip to South America. I was able to fit 7 items of swimwear, 4 pairs of sandals, 6 dresses, 2 pairs of jeans, 2 jumpsuits, light trousers, 2 pairs of denim shorts, a towel, spare handbag, toiletries, cosmetics, sun cream and pretty much my life in this bag. It is great.

Bought it using a voucher, its brilliant for carrying study books in. I even used it for a 4.5 Day Trip around Holland. Used as carry on luggage. Only disappointing thing was there is no shoulder strap which isn't great for a duffel bag. But overall happy with my purchase.

A robust bag that can comfortably hold enough stuff for a long weekend including lap top etc. It’s easier to carry as a rucksack but I wouldn’t like to carry it any distance (my 2 mile walk to work is enough) My go to bag for most things

This is a perfect carry on for flights, saving so much money not going with hold luggage as you can fit enough in this amazing bag! I’ve just done 2 weeks in Los Angeles off this and plan to do many more trips with it!

This is my second bag. You can take it anywhere, it's waterproof, sturdy and the size S also quite big.If you intend to take it as cabin luggage you could also try size M as i've seen people doing that

I bought the bag for my gettibub. He plays handball and wanted a solid and practical bag. The size S is ideal for its use. The color is great. Looks exactly like in the picture.

The bag is top quality, has no visible defects or the like. You only have to ventilate it well if it is new, as it smells quite like plastic. Delivered quickly, very satisfied.

Excellent bag - spacious, comfortable, robust, and good looking too... This duffel/rucksack gets a lot inside it whilst you can still take it as handluggage on flights.
