Being a big fan of point and click adventures (even though I admit to being rubbish at them!) I did really enjoy this game overall. The story starts off where your neighbour gets arrested in an OTT police/military swoop down, and you are left to console his worried family and also roped into solving the mystery of exactly why he was arrested. The game is centred around conspiracy theories and technology being used against "the people". It's set in the future (in America) so it differs from most p&c games I've played, which have either been fantasy or set in the past. It was interesting that some of the things we use today were completely obsolete and considered "antique" in this game! You progress through the game by talking to other characters and collecting items to help you along the way. Some conversations have relevance, some don't. I know this can irritate some gamers, but I don't mind a little of that, after all it's realistic. Much of what people say on a day to day basis is not strictly relevant! There is some going back and forth, so some of the areas you visit you have to go back to a few times.I couldn't complete this game without a walkthrough (but I'm not a great gamer!) and some of the challenges enabling progression seemed a bit vague/unclear at times. That said, it's a nice lengthy game and definitely worth buying if you want something to keep you going for a while.I think it would definitely appeal to fans of the X-Files as some of the characters reminded me of those computer geeks in the series and there's a strong emphasis on governmental cover-ups/conspiracy theories. (but you don't need to be an X-phile to enjoy it)I gave the game four out of five stars as some of the puzzle solutions were a bit obscure, and even with the walkthrough I didn't always know why I was doing a particular action. However, the story line was interesting, and I did enjoy figuring out the majority of it.If there was a follow on/sequel I would buy it.

The Game is your typical point and click adventure (one of my fav game genres), it has a nice futuristic storyline, which to some degree is partially beliveable, it has a varying range of NPC's And Challanges.Pros: For me the games real strength comes from the storyline, whereas most point and click games seem to focus around dark and mysterious characters or places (whodunnits) this game is more of an espionage/conspiracy theory game. Some of the visual elements of the game are pretty fantastic, and the game looks very beautiful. The game also features some intersting NPC's. Price! (i paid £1.99 for this game!!) The abality to skip dialog.Cons: Sadly this game is very lacking as P&C game, the voice acting is very poor and often characters will be heard saying poorly put together sentences, such as "I Don't do that now" however this is a RARE occurance, also the speech is sometimes quite slow and often jerky. There is a lot of back and forth action such as "i want to use this but to use this he needs that but to get that i have to go to spain and find thingymajigy to give me it" the game also becomes tedious through the multi-dialog feauture, as if u branch out in the convosation you have to click the "can i ask u summin else" button to go back to your original convo, very tedious if u have branch several times! Also the game in a way looks windowed, and subtitles appear round the edges which often means i have to strain my eyes. The voice acting on some characters is pretty rubbish, it's set in the US but most characters seem british!?That said i would still recomend this game, especially to anyone who likes P&C's with less of the hardcore puzzle elements to them!Other Recomendations:1) Black Mirror2) Still Life

As a big fan of the point and click adventure genre, I'm always on the look out for new games to try out, I came across this gem whilst searching high and low in all the game shops in my home town, it was the only adventure game I could find so I thought i'd give it a try.I found the plot to be very interesting and imaginative, also very believable. The graphics were wonderful as was the music, there were also quite a few interesting characters to interact with, overall it had everything I look for in a game. There were certain points I found myself getting frustrated with the game, for instance - the ending, (not to give too much away I'll just mention that you have to run back and forth to different locations to check something, players of the game should understand what I mean), although this wasn't enough to subtract from the overall gaming experience.I definitely recommend this game to any adventure fan, I doubt you'll be disappointed!.

I have just finished playing Moment of Silence and have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. True, it gets a bit tedious in parts, thanks mainly to having to watch the main character walk everywhere, however I found that all of the puzzles were good (bar the final one) and the plot compelling.I am a fan of adventure games, so I am biased, but I found that the story of the game was excellent and I was completely drawn into the game. There is a lot of dialogue to get through, and the game does take a certain amount of patience, but if you are a fan of adventure games, and enjoy a good conspiracy story, then this will be right up your street. If you do not enjoy point and click adventures, then this game probably won't convert you (it is a bit slow), but I haven't enjoyed a game as much for ages.Highly recommended for adventure game fans.

The Moment of Silence looks great, plays well and is really quite tough in parts, particularly the final puzzle. The backgrounds look marvellous, eg Greenwich Village looks like Grennwich Village. However, it's quite a dark game, with some quite sinister goings-on and a plot which is a uncomfortably close to believable. The game is very stable, easily saved and the DVD means no disc-swapping.As another reviewer mentioned, the dialogue can get tedious in places, but at least it's well acted and integral to the plot.If you liked the Longest Journey or the Syberia series, you should enjoy this.

The storyline and videos are great, and the game itself is very involving, and has a good balance between the tough brain work and the speed with which the gameplay moves.Slight flaws in this game are (1) that it could be said to be too dialog driven, perhaps a relic from the maker's movie experience, and (2) there are a couple of scenes where you need to click on really small hotspots.Nonetheless, I gave this game 5 stars, because it is the most interesting, and the most innovative point and click game developed for years.

If you like adventure games and want the best one released this year then look no further. The Moment of Silence is a traditional adventure game in the style of Monkey Island, Sherlock Holmes and Blade Runner. Not many of these games get made anymore but if you enjoy them, you will love this.It is good to see adventure games coming out still especially with the demise of Sam and Max 2 which is very sad news indeed...

I enjoyed playing this game in the main. I did find it a little weak and boring at times and I just couldn't get myself immersed in, but I did like the character
