Not a very exciting game for adults, but for us it’s more about quality time with the kids. My 3yo loves it. It only takes about 5 minutes to finish, so it’s alright for his attention span. My 6yo learnt the rules in a flash, and it’s not really challenging enough for her. I’m not a fan of Gruffalo, but this was the only board game suitable for toddlers that I could find, and it’s money well spent, I guess. The rules are a bit confusing and not very clever, I must say. Design-wise, it’s nice. The box doubles up as dice tray. The board is made of two parts that click together like a puzzle.

My four year old granddaughter loves the Gruffalo books, but I felt I'd missed the moment with this game because she is way past the stage of counting past three. However, she really likes it (more than I do). I think she likes the fact that she can set it up (and memorise which tree is which picture) and have to remind the adults what they have to do for each prompt on the board. Simple game that doesn't last too long and refers to the characters in the book.

My nearly 4 year old finds it hard to concentrate and hates learning numbers so this was really tricky for her to be honest. Even though I explained she doesn’t have to recognise all the numbers on the board she still hates this game for the fact that she has to follow basic rules of throw the dice (0-3) and move character along the board that many times. Such a shame because the game itself is lovely and simple.

My 3 yr old grandson has learnt how to play this game fairly easily using the instructions for the younger children. Problem is he wants to land on the picture steps ?, and obviously wants to win everytime! He also plays with the game as a toy on his own. It is pretty sturdy and well thought out, particularly the dice going up to number 3 only.

I bought this for my 4 & 5 year old, they absolutely love the gruffalo so I knew this would be a bit! They love it, it’s easy and simple to play and doesn’t take to long either so they stay focused on the game and don’t loose interest. It’s very cute and we love playing as a family. Would highly recommend

My 3.5yr old daughter loves the Gruffalo! Game arrived today & we have played it 3 times. Its great that the game can be simplified for younger children (i would say 2.5yrs+). it takes about 10-15 minutes to complete a game & she loves the fact she doesnt know whats under the trees :)

A simple and fun game for youngsters. We bought this for my two and a half year old daughter and had a lot of fun playing it, as a family, along with our 6 year old son.Great for teaching children about counting, memory retention and, most importantly, taking turns.

My 4 year old loves this game. It's not a long drawn out game, over & done with quite quickly or u can change rules to older kids rules so lasts a bit longer. Depends on his mood which he chooses. Usually swaps & changes to ensure he wins ? great wee kids game.

A great game and all the pieces and the board are very well made. It’s simple and short to play so small children don’t get bored. I was enjoying winning every time until I discovered the 4 yr old grandson was cheating!! Hmmmm. - wonder where he got that from?

Fun little game for any fan of the Gruffalo. The game itself is very quick and very simple. So the age rating is on point. The main pull is the theme, i.e. the Graffalo. The game does a good job of gamifying the Gruffalo story. Solidly made. Good buy.

Our 4 year old granddaughter plays it and really enjoys the game. Can be played at three levels but she quickly learnt how to play the top level. It lasts about 10 mins. but we will play about three games each time. Value for money.

An excellent game to use to introduce children to board games. I've tried to play a few board games with our 3 year old but he's quickly run out patience. He absolutely loved this. Simple rules make for a quick game. Brilliant!

My daughter had played this game at school and during lockdown was really missing it so we bought it for her to play with her sisters. Well what can i say, she has had loads of fun playing it and showing us all how to play it

It’s alright. It’s a small and quick game for younger kids. It had different levels of “difficulty” so you can change it up. It’s a good novelty thing as a one off but it’s not particularly a game you would play a lot.

This became my son's favourite game! It's really entertaining. Just to mention, the dice has only nr 1, 2 and 3. It helps children learn to wait for their turn, and to follow simple rules in a game! Great purchase.
