These Staedtler Lumocolour 352 Lumicolor Permanent Markerscome well presented in a durable flip top plastic case that should last the life of the pens and more. In the pack you get 1 of each colour - orange, red, purple, blue, green and black. Apart from the colour being identified by the cap there are appropriately coloured plugs in the end of each pen. I like the fact that the tops fit firmly onto the end of the pens so that way they won't get lost.In use the pens feature medium fibre nibs (2mm wide) which glide well over paper and card leaving a dense coloured line behind them and the ink dries very quickly giving a high resistance to smudging. The barrels are straight and easy to hold whether you are right or left handed. These pens do not have the "solvent" type odour that some pens of this type have plus, if you leave the cap off by mistake, the ink doesn't seem to evaporate.Only time will tell how long these pens last and if anything unexpected happens I'll update this review but the overall impression is one of high quality. You do need to remember though these are permanent pens and if you don't replace the lid you could easily stain a suit, blouse or tablecloth etc.In summary, the moment you see the pack and handle these pens it's obvious they exude quality which is carried through into their design and usability. Recommended.

Bold vibrant colours, an easy flow and very quick drying make these pens particularly appealing, and they work just as well on absorbent surfaces such as paper as on non-absorbent surfaces. However I find the colours are at their most brilliant on transparent surfaces such as glass where the light can shine through them, on paper some of the colours, especially the orange, are a little less brilliant. The colours pretty much match that of the pen cap apart from the purple, which turns out magenta or even pink on some surfaces. The colours vary in opacity, the darker the colour the more likely it is to cover whatever is beneath it.They work well on all the surfaces I have tried them on,and dry in a matter of seconds after which no amount of rubbing seems to affect them (a Sharpie permanent marker by comparison had rubbed off while the Lumocolor was unaffected) . While they are waterproof they can easily be removed from non-absorbent surfaces with a wipe of methylated spirits, or with a few rubs with white spirit. On paper the colour can bleed through to the other side, and on thin paper it can bleed through to the next sheet or two. However their versatility and (almost) permanence make these pens particularly useful.

I think these pens are excellent. I have been using them to show my daughters how to render drawings. It's easy to get a flat wash as a background tone and the chisel tip makes it easy to get a variety of line widths for finer detail. The ink dries very quickly (within seconds) but will 'wet' again with a further application. The colours dry just slightly darker than the pens' cap colours and the ink bleeds through about three sheets 80 gsm paper.Apart from the graphics use, these pens will be great for marking / writing on, pretty much anything. The dry safe technology puts an end to dried out pens because they'll stay fine despite days with the caps left off.The case also doubles as a stand so there's really nothing to moan about at all.Excellent

I rather like my 8 colour set of these chisel tip marker pens. They are economical AND don't dry out if you leave the cap off (assuming you don't do it all the time of course!)There's a good variety of colours and the chisel tip allows for both broad and (reasonably) narrow marking. The case is very useful as, when opened, it displays the markers for ease of use and both protects them and reminds you to put the caps back on.I wouldn't necessarily recommend them for those who like colouring in of pictures, even when using them just for the large areas, as you will find them hard to work around any fine sections due to the breadth of the marker. However, for all other uses, they are recommended

I'm in the process of moving offices so needed some permanent markers to mark-up boxes. These come as a pack of 6 in orange, red, purple, blue, green and black and the colours are pretty vivid, even against brown cardboard. They have bullet point tips and write smoothly. I particularly liked the packaging - it's a harder plastic case with a clip down lid, which made it easy to take our and replace the pens. I've marked up about 40 boxes so far with no signs of the ink fading (which surprised me as markers usually dry out pretty quickly for me).All in all I'm happy with these and would buy a replacement when needed.

These are really excellent permanent waterproof markers in a range of colours. Their tips are capable of much finer writing than the size of the pen wold suggest and I have found them ideal for writing on everything from posters and folders to plant labels in the garden (the black and green pens are weatherproof as well as waterproof). They come in a nice little plastic wallet and - although I haven't tested this feature yet - apparently they stay usable even if you forge to put the top back on for a while! Ideal for students, schoolteachers, anyone with an office to administrate or a garden to keep track of.

Permananent markers are not the most interesting item to write a review about but here goes:The 8 pens come in a neat box which clearly displays the pens and allows relatively easy access to them. The pens have a good strong colour and I have been using them to write on items from food packaging (so I know when it was opened) to writing on the wall for, planks of wood. The nib has remained precise despite some grainy surfaces.Odour is minimal from the pen noticeable but not enough to be bothersome or headache inducing.Great pens which will last a long long time if my last set was anything to go by.

A really nice set of permanent marker pens. They are packaged in a hard plastic case which can be opened out and used as a desk stand. A good selection of colours, bullet tip (not fine liners) and the caps all have pocket clips. If you're writing on paper the ink does bleed through, so be careful if you're leaning on say a wooden surface without something underneath the page. I've tried them on a variety of surfaces, such as paper, card, glossy stickers etc. and they work equally well on all. If you're looking for a set of permanent markers for the likes of crafting or labelling, these are a good option.

Great value markers. Very high quality in a good solid transparent hard case that would handle being knocked about in a toolbox. A good thing because tradesman is probably who these are best aimed at; they are perfect for marking up bits of wood/walls etc with the limo colours showing up well on most light surfaces. The chisel tips are about 5x2mm so they show up from a distance. They don't work well on heavy plastics, especially those which are textured, and won't show up at all on darker colours despite being fairly light coloured. You will need paint pens for that work.

A great set of coloured markers from a well known brand.I like that the pens are low odour, making them pleasant to use. The bullet tip is easy to use too. The pens look like they will last a long time. It's worth noting that when we tested these on some shiny white paper, the ink dried much darker than expected for every colour - the orange actually looked brown. However, testing on normal paper was absolutely fine, other than the purple pen actually looks pink on paper.I like the rugged case these come in. It helps to keep the pens together and safe.

Superb quality as you would expect from Staedtler. Well designed, comfortable to hold, cap stores nicely on the end, all in a neat case. Plus they're permanent! So they write on plastic and other surfaces that you might need a permanent mark on.The only surprising thing for me about these pens, was the tip. They're big pens, but the pointed bullet tip allows for quite fine writing. So you can either write neatly with the tip, or use the edge for a wider mark.Great pens, good range of colours, permanent and in a case! What's not to like?

I've used Staedtler markers before, and these ones are certainly in line with previous experiences -- good pens that are actually permanent (not all permanent markers seem permanent!), and dry very quickly. The colours are bold, and, helpfully, they are designed so that apparently the top can be left off a pen for days without it drying up. I've inadvertently tested this by accidentally leaving the top off the red pen for a few hours, and was very pleased to find that it still worked perfectly afterwards. Recommended.

It’s hard to get excited about marker pens but these really are about as good as they get. They write smoothly and leave a good solid line, do seem permanent and don’t dry out if the caps are left off (tested for 24 hours). The selection of six colours is excellent, the caps snap smartly into place and it’s great to have a rigid case to keep them in, especially since it doubles as a stand (see photo). If you need permanent markers, you’re probably unlikely to do better than these.

Nice market pents with a fairly thin tip and slightly thinner shaft than usual school marker pens, make for better clearer wrting imho. Easier to hold for aduls and children. THe colourset are quite dark, red is almost burgandy rather than bright etc. THe hard case, moulded is quite nice too if you are the sort to try and keep them together.I will use these in KS2.and when I KS1 wold have happily used them then too.
