Staedtler is a well-respected name for office equipment in general, and drawing products in particular -and these colouring pencils continue the high standard. No-one should be left wanting as there are 36 different colours from white to black in all sorts of shades. The pencils are 6½ inches long with traditional hexagonal cross-section, and come in a slim well-made tin box with grooved insert from which they are easy to remove and replace. What lifts these pencils above the norm is that the leads are coated with some material (visible as a white ring around the point of the lead) that the manufacturer claims will ease sharpening and avoid breaking. My children love art activities and often we buy pencils and the leads break easy as soon as you colour in or they keep breaking as you sharpen them. These are really good. They are more expensive but it saves you having to keep buying more. I have now brought my children a set each.They give a lovely colour and do not break like others. The tin is such a good idea and the range of colours in this set are fantanstic. We have also brought pencils and felt tip pens from this company.A brilliant buy

A very good range of colours, and the pencils work smoothly across the paper. I wasn't due to get them until next Thursday but they arrived today, Sunday. Great delivery service as usual from Amazon. On the downside, the tin is pretty useless as the pencils fall out easily. Also, my tin was damaged and three of the pencils look as if they have been used before. The points on them are worn down. I am not sending them back as I am otherwise pleased but feel that Amazon should know.

So far found the pencils to be of soft nature and good selection of colours only problem is sharpening them, they do not break when using them as the abs stops this however when you need to sharpen them it seems to prevent a good fine point..I need a fine point for the Enchanted a forest colouring book as it has some delicate parts. Any suggestions to successful sharpening would be good.

My girls love to draw and colour but they were finding a lot of pencils were poorly made - when the lead is off-centre they don't sharpen properly ...THESE pencils are properly made, the lead is central, they don't fall into two halves and they sharpen very nicely.FURTHER the colour goes on well to a wide range of papers and the colours are bright and saturated.RECOMMENDED!

Delivered very quickly! The colours are of good quality, there is a good amount of variety and the pigment of the colours is nice and rich! Can't fault them really. Only reason I didn't give five stars is because I prefer the ones that are cylindrically shaped ( three corner, set of 12 ones) and feel this would have been better, but this is a minor point.

I spent quite a long time looking at various reviews, this answered all the questions I had when it arrived. It was delivered by the wonderful DPD courier so the tin being dropped on the floor was not a problem. The colours are what I wanted, I am not an artist, just like colouring in for a quiet time, especially the collection by Johanna Bradford.

Bought this for a GCSE art student, who is somewhat of a perfectionist and required a broader array of colors than what had been available locally.Much to my amazement, I actually got the nod of approval when she tried these out, so they must be good!

Brilliant set of colours, great range and a fab gift for a little budding artist, who doesn't want to be constrained by just the primary colours. Very popular with my daughter who likes to use a mass of dainty colours, mainly pinks and purples.

I have been using these pencils in the Johanna Basford enchanted forest colouring book, they are quite good but not as good as the staedtler ergo soft pencils I was given as a present. I would recommend using the ergo soft pencils.

Great pencils, had a problem with a few of them contacted the company got a replacement brilliant communication from the website. Would not use any other type of pencils. I have tried a few other one and find these one the best.

Bought these for my kids who were really delighted with the purchase and felt it was good product. They have used the pencils for their art work and other school work and were very pleased with the result.

Item as described but arrived in a padded envelope that was to big and the pencils had fallen out and several leads beoken and the tin lid broken away. But i managed to fix it and i have a sharpener

Strong pencils, sharpen to a point for fine details and blend well for shading. I'm no pro artist but these are nice to use and have produced effects which have drawn compliments so I'm happy!

Love these colouring pencils- they are really good value and the colour and texture is nice. Not bad for a first time buy for an adult who is looking to take up drawing and colouring.
