These are really good. I prefer a straight cutting edge and anvil to the curved type which cause the stem of woody material to slip, making it more difficult than it should be. These also have a recess in the anvil instead of a flat surface like most others. That means the blade cuts all the way through, not just to the anvil. They fit well in my hand. I use them to cut a lot of small branches on trees I have pruned so the pieces go through a shredder easily, and my hand has not gotten tired from using these. It has become my favorite over a pair from Wolf and Fiskar.
