These shears cut well through grass, hedges, brambles and small branches. They are a little heavier than I would ideally like but that doesn’t cause a problem. The extending handles are really useful. The twist locking mechanism at the bottom of the handles was a bit stiff to start with but has got easier with use. The handles stay firmly locked in position, unlike some shears I have had, where the handles keep unlocking and sliding up and down. All round, a very good product.

Spear and Jackson a reputable brand name that has been around for years, so I had no hesitation in purchasing a Garden Tool with their name.I am most impressed with my new Hedge Shears and they definitely are razor sharp.Having used Argos via their web site for quite a number of purchases over the years,I have no hesitation in recommending Argos click and Collect and Spear and Jackson .Razor Hedge .cutting Shears, choose the Aluminium model.

This is the first pair of garden shears I have purchased in a long time. I am very pleased with them. They are easy to use, very sharp and strong construction and with a 10 year guarantee. The telescopic handle may well come in handy also. My wife also thought that they were suitable for her to use.

These Spear and Jackson garden shears are really good, nice and sharp and cuts really well and should hopefully last for years like my other Spear and Jackson tools. They are easy to use and a good price to and the telescopic handles are a real plus to.

Top Quality pair of Shears I bought these to replace a cheap pair that didn't last long Im impressed with them so far they are strong and robust ,a little on the expensive side but should last for years.

Great pair of shears much lighter than my old ones. Not too expensive yet a good make hopefully they’ll last well. Jobs are quick with a sharp set of shears wish I’d bought some earlier.

Bought to tackle the hedge and managed some pretty thick branches with ease.Super sharp and not too heavy for a lady to use for prolonged periods of time.Competitive price too.

I've had many shears over the years but these are the best I've purchased thus far, handle comfortable to use, blade extremely sharp, used to trim grass round edge, worked great.

The shears arrived in excellent time and have proven to be extremely effective on hedging etc. Really can't fault them and so am happy to recommend them to others.

They look well made, with a good design. Easy to use and not to heavy.Reach with extension is handy and cuts out working off a ladder in some situations.

These easily cut on a conifer hedge I was trimming and the telescopic handles meant I could trim the top too. I was happy with the purchase.

Very comfortable shears to use and find when extended can now reach the tops of bushes where before had to stand on a small ladder
