I had sim city 4. I should have waited the extra month for rush hour to come out, as it solves a lot of problems. You know more or less what you'll be getting as its a sim city game. However, there are many features that SC3 or even 2000 had going that were better. Until Rush Hour came out, there was no rail/subway interchange, as well as lots of other smaller details. However, the actual simulation and graphics remain up to par, as well as the opportunity to move in sims from The Sims, and find out how your sims go to and from work. So, what do you get for your buck? You can act like Red Ken, and place toll booths around all the main business area of your city, you can create monorail links to neighbours, elevated trains, ferry services, avenues, and you can now place your cloverleaf interchange and then work around rather than having to hope and pray that your two highways meet at the right point. You can create one way streets, avenues and the likes. You also get access to larger civic amenities, such as police stations, fire department airstrips, water pumps and schools. Thats not all though. When you build a civic building or reward, you can get access to 'u drive it' missions. These are just your old fashioned 'drive/fly around the map within a certain time' missions but they sometimes get you some money, improve your mayor rating or allow you early access to rewards. If you're a fan of sim city, you won't have read this, you'll have bought the game. If you haven't and your wondering on the 12 quid difference between the deluxe and classic editions, take the deluxe. The add ons make the game much more playable and easier to get into.

It took me a very long time to play this game since buying it, but I have found this to be a good game.I normally play war games, so it was nice not to have to worry about external threats such as invasions. The only main threat is over spending (which can be easy to do).It is quite fun building up the cities and the tools are available are very good and easy to use. For anyone who likes the ide of buidling their own city, this really is the game for you. Also the tutorials are very good an allow you to prcatice the basic funtions. In addition, this game is very cheap these days, and it is possible to buy it for less than a fiver. In fact it lets you build several cities in the same region thatcan all link up and it can be quite amusing to see a sim citizen living in one city and working in another.also a the higher settings, you can see your sims and the traffic go about their business, which is quite satisfying. One warning is that this needs a good amount of memory if you want to see your city in all its living glory (i.e see sims in the street and cars on the road, otherwise it starts to slow up quite badly, as I have found with my laptop. In saying that, its not as bad as some games I've played.

This game should be in every gamers collection. It has everything, superb graphics, great gameplay. everything. You will find it somewhat easier by purchasing the strategy guide which goes over everything you are going to come across thus making your city alot more succesful.Sim City4 has come on leaps and bounds from Sim City 3000. Absolutely everything imaginable has been improved; on Sim City 3000 I went miles into the red just a few minutes after starting thye game. But on Sim City 4 this rarely happens until the city is massive and unlike the last one neighbors actually offer you buisness deals which helps with trash problems or whatever you're struggling with. You can also build Casinosand Prisons for quite a big income; but inturn they effect the economy so you have to positions things wisely and wait until the city is at the right size.I havew had this game for around 12 months and still play on it regulary. This is one of the must have games for PC.

VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY GOOD ,just about as good as simulation strategy game can get! ,the only thing really is theres no tasks , for example roller coaster tycoon you had to get a certain population , if there were little things like that in this then it would be a really good extra task , unfortunatly though the only role is chose some land and build a community or a city , however everytime you do get on with it , it's fantastic fun , theres endless city designs and shapes especially the god terrain terraforming tool , beware though playing this game makes time around you go quixker than you think before you know it 8 hours has past and sun has set believe me i know ,this will be a legendary classic in years to come , and before im finsh you don't really need a NASA computer to run the game and the graphics are super top quality. ultra highly reccommended

Bought this because I lost my old copy. After all these years, I still enjoy making those little cities and watching them grow. Great fun and an absolute time-waster, hehe. Deserves its place among the annals of the great video games ever!
