This is a great little game - It appears to be marketed primarily as a 'gateway' or introductory game for individuals who do not regularly play board games, but I am pleased to report that in my experience, it to appeals to just about anyone. The rules are refreshingly simple enough to teach to young family members as well as players who are newer to board games.The theme of the game is that the players are silk farmers who, along with their silk worms and trusty Mastiff, try to produce the most silk whilst keeping themselves safe from the local monster!On an individual's turn, they take 2 out of 6 possible actions to either move pieces, produce silk and more silk worms,or enclose and protect your pieces from the other players and the monster.Through these actions, players fight to control areas of the board to score points during and at the end of the game. The end is triggered when one player reaches a set number of victory points (different for each player count) and then players do a final tally of points to decide the winner.Games tend to be quite quick in our experience, often finishing in 20-30 minutes for 2-3p games, although this was extended a bit for 4p games.The components are of good quality and the game comes with a number of different language variants of the rule book (English, German, Spanish, French at least). It is very compact as there is no central board, but rather a set of a small square tiles which players place during setup to form a board. Definitely could be taken travelling where space is limited.This game works really smoothly. The rules are simple and allow new and experienced players to compete together. Only possible complaint I would have is that sometimes games (especially 2p) seem to finish a bit quickly. However, this could easily be changed by changing the points needed in order to trigger the end of the game.

This is an attractive package. The artwork is gorgeous, the wooden components are well made and in nice muted colours rather than the expected primaries. The rules are simple to learn, with a few twists and room for strategy, and it doesn't outstay its welcome. Very pleased with this purchase.
