Looks and plays beautifully. Extremely hard. Man you've got to be PM, Chancellor, MI6 chief, diplomat and army general at the same time. Fantastic. A tip: don't install from disc if you have Windows 10. Install Steam direct from website and then install game from Steam using the enclosed serial number or you may run into installation difficulties.

A very elaborate and well detailed game with excellent graphics and game play but it requires a huge learning curve to play it successfully. There is SO much to remember about all the different troops, soldiers, armaments etc. I'm afraid I don't have the patience or time to play it very much now.

For Jappophiles and strategy buffs. A bit harder than most games to learn due to the huge range of options, but worth it because that's why it rocks, Amazing graphics set this way ahead of the original game, and extra battles at sea make a game to last forever

Great game, been a long time since I played Total War so I've yet to win Shogunate of Japan. Every time I play I have different challenges and diplomacy is a big part of survival though be prepared to declare war!
