This Sheaffer Intensity Engraved Chrome Ballpoint Pen is a beautiful pen in a beautiful and sturdy/smooth feeling hinged lid box w lightly padded top and clean and sharp cornered edges. The pen feels substantial and weighty, and has a smooth twist action to lower the ball point down from the body. There is a nice ridged wave detail over the entire pen, and the pocket clip has a little white dot accent at the top. The top of the pen is a domed, smooth and shiny chrome finish.The one star deduction is that the ink on my particular pen seems a bit dry, and does not flow out as smoothly as I would expect from such a quality pen like this. Additionally, I am unable at this point,

I appreciate fine writing pens, and have a small collection of "affordable" luxury pens from Parker, Lamy, Cross, and Ballograf. I am pleased to add this Sheaffer pen to my collection, and look forward to using it when writing some of my correspondence.The presentation of the pen is very nice considering the price-point of this writing device. It is packaged in a faux leather box embossed with the Sheaffer logo, which opens to reveal a soft lined pad holding the pen (see photos). The pen itself is beautifully finished, and finely etched with decoration. The weight is balanced and nearly perfect, and the pen twists open with a smooth, refined mechanism.I could not find a country-of-origin marking on the pen,

Sheaffer's ballpoint pen is nicely made, attractive and writes smoothly.The Sheaffer is made from high quality metal and feels sturdy and robust in the hand. It has a nice heft to it and doesn't feel disposable in any way. The wavy pattern engraved on the pen's barrel is subtle but fun, and it catches the light nicely. Included with the pen is a substantial gift box, similar to a jewelry box, with a velour interior.Writing with the Sheaffer is a pleasure. The black ink comes out of the pen smoothly without skipping or dragging. The pen glides across the paper and makes even the most mundane notes a delight to write.The pen offer an ink refill that can be purchased when needed so you don't have to buy a completely new pen.All in all...

I am a bit of a stickler when it comes to pens. I do not necessarily need a high end pen all the time, but I will walk to the other side of the house to get a favorite pen to sign a permission slip for my children. Lol. So, this pen is one that I will walk a while for. It has a nice design and is on the slim side. The mechanism of the cartridge it ships with is nice and smooth. It is a twist on design that keeps the cartridge in place. You turn the top of the pen for it to extend. The box it is shipped in is perfect for gifting. Overall, this is a great pen that was fully intact and working well.

This is probably the best pen I have ever used. I always buy the use and throw away ones but I wanted to switch to a replaceable type refill. I don't have to throw the whole pen away that way. It comes with a black cartridge but you can get different colors. Twisting the top part opens and closes the pen and you unscrew the bottom and you can change to a new refill or different color. I couldn't be happier with the pen and I do recommend.

..such a nice pen to use too! Sheaffer's Engraved Chrome Ballpoint Pen is so lovely and so easy to write with. It is a little heavy, my husband feels, but not much and the engraving makes it an easy pen to hold as you write. I do like ballpoint pens best. Fountain and roller ball are available also.It would make a very nice gift for Christmas, birthday or graduation IMHO and comes in the lovely gift box.

This is a very nice ballpoint pen. The chrome finish is good looking and the etched lines are not only attractive but they make the pen easy to grip. This pen has some heft to it, which I like. You extend the pen tip by twisting the cap. It came with a medium black ink cartridge and was packed in a very nice presentation box. This is quickly becoming my favorite ballpoint pen.

For an all-metal ballpoint pen, it's nice. I wouldn't call it anything really special, but it's nice. It's kinda a graduation pen in my mind. It's thin, so I would think of it being for a woman. It's still classy and not really feminine. It's nice, it writes well, and it's a lot nicer than a cheap pen.

Perhaps it's because I have large hands, but I like a substantial pen. This is such an instrument. It writes smoothly. It is comfortable in the hand. It is not, however a purse sized pen. In fact, I would venture to guess this pen is more suited to a man's hand and use.

Some reviews are saying that the pen doesn't come with an ink cartridge. Mine did, so they must be talking about one of the other models. This pen has a great weight to it, and it's very comfortable to hold. The design is really nice too.

This is a nice looking pen. It's heavy, which makes it feel like a quality gift.However, the box it came in is not impressive, and not one I would present as a gift to anyone. It (the box) also was damaged in shipping.
