I had a few reservations about ordering this product as I needed it to warm a double garage sized workshop with a high roof and plenty of unplanned air vents and with the severe weather did not think that it would do the biz. When it arrived I ordered a Large gas cylinder and soon had it coupled and working. It took a good time to start feeling the results but it was fine when it did get to the effective stage. I reduced the heat setting and saved some gas and it still kept the warmth constant. I did find that when I put it in the lowest heat setting that it seemed to splutter a bit and had to tweak it up just a little but that was just for my benefit. After about an hour I was aware of the fumes that were given off and was worried about this getting on my chest but subsequent times have proved that it was perhaps the settling in stage and I have not experienced fumes to that degree since, having said that it is a burner and gives off a certain amount of fumes as you would expect so needs some degree of ventilation. I have used this heater for some time now and am happy with the results. My initial fears have proved to be foundless and although this was half the price of many others it has proved to be a little gem.-------

I have a large garden workshop which gets very cold in the winter so needed something that can chuck out some heat quickly - I was considering getting a portable Calor gas heater but couldn't find one small enough and they don't really last long enough for the hours I spend in my workshop - then I found this little beauty! I bought a large propane bottle (the biggest you can get) and a hose extension so the bottle can be left out side and the hose goes through the wall. Within a few minutes of using this heater on full I have to turn it down to its lowest setting as it gets too hot - amazing heater - and great value. If I had one gripe it would be that I wish it had a piezo lighter but,tbh - it's not a biggie.

I have fired this up using a 6kg Calor Propane Bottle, but Patio Gas can also be used if you buy the correct regulator for that. It comes with the Calor gas regulator which is the cheapest gas you can use with it. You control the on and off using the bottle and then the flame can be controlled on the heater itself. It chucks out the heat! You need a lighter to light it on start up - one of those long ones for lighting a hob would be ideal. I think this is way better than any of the buddy type heaters and I used it under by Coleman event shelter and it heats it up very fast. 100% recommended !

Absolutely excellent product seems really nicely made use straight from the box no set up just connect to gas bottle turn on and light. Bought to take the chill off in the campervan and it does it in minutes really warms the van up then turn it off easy to carry and use in alternate places I like this product and the price was excellent surprised when it arrived with the pipe and regulator wasn’t expecting that at this price even though it stated so in the ad a good saving, lights easily distributes the heat across the face of the burners evenly. Nice toasting fork and should do toast lovely

I use it to quickly heat up the garage (detached, not insulated but ventilated) in the winter just to take the chill off when starting a cycle on the turbo trainer. I don't keep it on for long because I'm not sure about the CO levels and after 10 minutes, it's warm enough for my purposes. You need a long lighter since it doesn't have a built in ignitor but I actually prefer that because it catches immediately.I've also used it briefly outside during the covid restrictions where we are not allowed anyone in the house. It gives them something to give their hands a quick heat.

A very good product, simple and effective. Gas consumption is good 0.3 KG per hour on full = 39 Hrs per 13Kg calor propane bottle. Or 80Hrs on low from a 13KG bottle (if you were to extend the propane hose to 4 metres you would be able to run on a 47 Kg bottle for 141 hours reducing hourly running cost to 0.33p per hour or 0.06p per kw per hour, much more cost effective than electric.

Very simple but effective item - running on propane, it gives out a lot more heat than butane and warms up my van very quickly (with the accompanying condensation of course). Only downside is no piezo (?) ignition. I hold a lighter close to it and it starts easily but I often lose the hairs on the back of my hand :) Great product though, not pretty but utilitarian, I like that.

Kicks out a lot of heat. The unit comes with a connector for a propane bottle - the screw-on type - so I cut it off and put a Calor butane regulator on it instead. Took some persuading as the propane tube is not as flexible as the butane one but managed it eventually.I can confirm that the unit works perfectly fine with butane once the regulator had been replaced.

Made for smaller spaces, floor standing so the heat rises - would be ideal for a shed or garage. I use it in a 45ft container and it does the job of gently warming the space so imagine in smaller areas its great. Only let down is no Piezo device for ignition you have to use your own ignition source. Just add gas and away you go the length of hose provided is plenty.

Unfortunately this product arrived broken (the bar to which the burner is attached to the stand had very poor welds and they had all cracked) But I needed the heater and repaired it myself. As a product it works very well and I am using it in a double garage, it takes a little while to get the temperature up (10 to 20 mins) but once there it keeps it comfortable.

The heater itself is fine now that I have taken time out of my life to get it working - the ignition switch on the side was loose and resulted in it rocking backwards and forwards and snapping the thermocouplet wire on the side. I had to go to Toolstation to get a replacement and get somebody else to fit it for me as I am by no means a gas engineer. Bit annoyed.

I have this on the front seat of my van so on these cold and frosty mornings I turn it on in the van 5 minuets before I go to work and the van is toasty warm and all the windows are defrosted without scraping or de icer.So no more scraping and shivering at 5am on your way to work on a roof all day.Come from a cosy house to a cosy van in minuets.Simples.

I bought this item because I was replacing head gaskets on a V8 outside on the driveway which took forever due to the engine being cooked. I chose a radiant heater for this purpose. A little bit of luxury in the cold weather in January. Would have been nicer if it had an ignition system but that was easy to solve with a mapp blowtorch.

Great wee thing! Uses very little gas and gives a fair amount of heat out to about half a metre. Dont expect it to heat a whole garage but it does keep the chill out of mine which is a brick built large single one. Good value as the 19kg propane i bought was more expensive that the heater! Lol

if your looking for a cheap well made heater for the shed/ greenhouse ect, then this is a very good candidate for the job, I have a 30ft by 15ft shed and have the heater on the lowest setting without turning it off, else it gets to hot. id buy it again if I wanted another out building heater.
