The profile depth of 3.9 mm is not exactly outstanding. I took off the two middle rows of spikes because driving on dry roads is a horror. It sounds like driving a chain mail through a huge pile of broken glass. In addition, a sharp braking is even dangerous because the spikes drag over the asphalt. I left the outer rows of spikes to prevent them from sliding sideways on snow and ice in the event of a fall. The puncture protection also has its pitfalls. This makes the tire so hard that, firstly, it is very difficult to assemble and secondly, driving was an elevated track at the beginning. Only after 2x 100km with 5bar pressure was the tire so soft that it runs reasonably smoothly at 4bar.

I've been driving the Schwalbe Winter for a few winters, I'm thrilled, only the curves are not so fast when it is slippery, that's why I got the marathon winter with spikes on the flank. Was a little disappointed about the wrong weight, I weighed it at 1125g (26x1.75) Very safe tire on ice and snow up to 1.5cm. If there is more snow it is of little use because it can no longer get through to the ground. Running noises are acceptable. You have to cope with the extra weight, but it is puncture-proof!

Works completely according to expectations. Incredibly good grip on ice. Does not track very much. One tip is to buy a narrower tire than you use in summer time. A narrower tire "digs" down into the snow more easily and thus gets better contact with the ground. Low rolling resistance compared to cheaper products.

I have been using this tire on my front wheel for about a month now through varied conditions including snow and ice. No issues. It has been handling well and gives a decent grip.Definitely a confident booster and keeps me pedaling through the winter.I'm saving the last star for the end season update.

After a few hundred kilometers I am (so far) very satisfied. Braking tests on dry and wet roads were positive and with the slightly louder driving noise I can live well. Let's see how the tires reach for ice and snow. Delivery, packaging and service also without complaint.

The tire offers good grip on winter roads, great on ice. Of course, the profile is not suitable for wild mud rides and the spikes, together with the soft rubber compound, already cost some strength on dry roads, which is just a bit of additional training.

The best I've ridden on ice and snow so far. I won't buy any more. Super self-cleaning behavior. Insane liability. Drive the tires at 4.5 bar. The tire is louder and you have to work a little more, for that you drive like on rails.

I used these in Minneapolis - February and March. Roads and bike paths. Great on ice. Still need to use some care when going through plowed snow and slush... Very happy with the tires overall.

I have been riding spikes in winter for about 20 years. Sometimes exaggerated but certainly when it comes down to it and you just haven't seen the ice surface.

The tires are highly recommended in snow and on a snow-free road. The necessary grip is available even on icy roads. I will drive again and again.

They are good for slippery roads and ice. Not good for deep snow. They are also quite heavy. But I am happy worth the purchase.

Tires for the newspaper bicycle, is nice if there is not yet sprinkled from winter at 5 o'clock. Can you just keep cycling?

Is a cyclist all year round and runs at 35 width. Never let go. Bought to the kids so I can ride them to school all year.

It was well preserved and arrived in new condition without any deformation. It was cheaper than anywhere else.

Very good winter tires. Rolls light and good grip in curves. This applies to both snow, ice and bare ground
