So what does it smell like? Unsurprisingly it actually smells of cedarwood and juniper. Think old wardrobe or bedding chest and you're getting there. To me it smells of newness; that smell that new clothes have. That contrasts with a different natural deodorant I have, cedarwood and grapefruit, which smells like cardboard. On first application the smell of cedarwood for me is very strong but after an hour it settles down and the juniper comes through with an aroma similar to pine wood. The cedarwood is however always present. Therefore "woody" is something of an understatement.I followed the instructions on the container and held it against my skin before applying. It went on but I found it a little grainy and scratchy. The deodorant effect but not the scent lasted a good 24 hours until my next shower so it works and my pits stayed sweet.Overall great for me and I'll be buying it again. My advice is that if you know what cedarwood smells like and you like the aroma, buy it and you won't be disappointed. Otherwise avoid it until you know what the aroma is because you're getting what it says it is, cedarwood and juniper.Lastly a note on natural deodorants in general: They don't work well on hairy armpits and your armpits also have to be clean and freshly washed. So shave off that hair and if your pits stink before applying the deodorant they'll still stink after you've applied it.

I bought this deodorant a month ago. I wore it three times. It's a solid at room temperature so you have to hold it against the armpit for a while and let it melt. Since it is based on solid oils, it can get matted in armpit hair, so I had to use a tissue to try and remove it from the hairs. The scent of it: initially I found the lime to be too strong. It felt like I was wearing a children's sweet. But after about 30 minutes the smell of bergamot dominates, and it has a subtle aroma reminiscent of Earl Grey tea, suitable for a man or a woman. After 3 days I noticed that when I got up in the morning I didn't have any B.O., so as an experiment I stopped applying it.I have been doing heavy exercise and showering every day for the last month, but I have produced no body odour from my armpits at all. I don't understand how this is possible. The deodorant itself must have been washed off by now, so I can only conclude that the oils and plants used in it completely removed all odour-causing bacteria from my skin. I don't know whether that's something that I should be worried about.I'm giving it a 5 star review for now, but I would appreciate if the manufacturer could explain why I don't produce odour any more, even after doing very heavy exercise on a hot day. I do find it a bit concerning since human body odour is a natural thing.

I personally don't sweat a lot, but I still like to use deodorant after each of my daily showers. I have fairly sensitive skin, so I was hesitant about replacing the Sure sticks that I have been happily using for many years. The thing is, I've been wanting to change over to a more natural deodorant for a while now - which was my reason for giving this product a trial run. It's made in Canada by Schmidts Naturals, and their range has apparently won some impressive awards over the years. My impression (after using it for a week) is that it does what it's supposed to do. I'm pleased to report that it didn't irritate my skin, and the deodorising effect lasted long into the day. So, on its effectiveness,it's a big thumbs up from me. The only slight criticism I have is in regard to the scent - I found that I could hardly detect the smell of coconut/pineapple. That would not deter me from continuing to use this natural deodorant formula again though - next time I'll more likely go for a Cedarwood & Juniper, or acLavender & Sage scented one. Taking into account its natural ingredients, and the price, I think this is a good buy.

This is the best natural deodorant brand in my opinion and I have tried many. The key is don’t put too much on and don’t rub it on with pressure otherwise it can make your armpits a bit sore. It works well because there is a lot of bicarb in it, but that also makes the texture a bit scratchy. So when applying I hold it still on my skin for a few seconds to warm it up first, then gently make three passes over the skin. Even in the summer months that keeps me pong free. Or you can use a hairdryer to warm it before use, especially in the winter. I suspect that the majority of people who get a bad skin reaction from this product are just aggravating their skin by rubbing it in too hard (which is what I did initially).Go easy with the application and it works brilliantly.

The only deodorant I've used which leaves me sweat and odour free. Total life changer. I've used it for 2 years now. The tube lasts between 3-4 months with daily use.I was a sweaty stinky mess from 13 to 23- 10 years of changing clothes 3 times a day, and constantly reapplying spray deodoranta which just made it worse - turns out I'm allergic to aluminium so it makes sense that my arm pits were irritated constantly and sweaty and chapped. I was known as THAT smelly girl, which was so disheartening, because it seemed like no matter what I did I'd always smell. I think I sweat excessively but now, I have next to no sweat and smell of NOTHING for 12 hours. It's honestly helped my confidence so much.I will never go back to 'regular deodorants'

Thank you Schmidts!I had been using a spray antiperspirant for years and every morning it made me cough. Why am I doing that to myself? But I remembered horrid red itchy armpits from roll ons in the past. So I decided to go the natural route and find something kinder. My first go was a baking soda based one. OH NO. I'm even more sensitive to baking soda than standard deodorant. That was horrid, which was actually a shame because the deodorant was otherwise good and had a lovely smell. So I did some research and found this baking-soda-free one from Schmidts. It really works and smells pretty nice and no reaction at all. I've been using it for a few weeks and my armpits are quite happy.

I love this natural deodorant!Smells of pineapple (but more pineapple than coconut) and coconut throughout the day. My armpit stays dry and smooth with no BO. I am perfectly groomed I practice great hygiene so I don’t actually smell even if I haven’t used deodorant but I think it would work to prevent others from smelling bad throughout the day. You don’t need perfume with this especially for work, it smells sweet and fresh.Delivery was fast and prompt.I was drawn to it because of the natural ingredients. I just wish it was not in a plastic tube. Will buy the rose and vanilla next when this finally runs out as there’s a lot in there.

Had to check out the reviews and almost relieved to see others had the same problem as me. This is a great deodorant stick, I didn’t mind paying the extra for it as it works and keeps me fresh and dry, I have a terrible natural body odour and most deodorants don’t help and make it worse. This has been the only one that covers and neutralises it, BUT ..... the rash and soreness is too unbearable for me to use it every day, I had to stop using it and use a cream for the sores. I have used it again since but I can’t use it everyday, if it didn’t cause the rash and soreness I would continue using.

Saw this and thought I'd give it a go but with no great expectations. I am not a fan of roll-on or stick deodorants and that remains the case. That said this deodorant works really well is natural and doesn't irritate the skin. It has a slight but subtle scent and lasts all day with no hint of body odour. I became allergic to aluminum in antiperspirants about 20 years ago. I have tried many deodorants over the years - laterly Japanese Biosen which is good but doesn't last all day. This is the best deodorant I have found and is now on my monthly subscribe and save - can't say better than that.

I've been using this for a few days. It's the best 'natural' deodorant I've used and I've tried a lot! It smells lovely and so far seems to last all day. I've not worn it doing anything vigorous or during hot weather so they will be the real deciders. I was worried about the rash reviews which seem to be frequent. So when it arrived I done a patch test on my forearm to see if I had a reaction before using it. No rash so all good. It is a little abrasive, I find putting a tiny bit of water on the deodorant really helps and also applying it slowly so that you don't aggravate your skin!

We totally love this because it smells fresh and not strong. Really keeps us fresh all day long(everyone's body chemicals is different). The stick is best because we care about the environment but more importantly it helps those with lung problems and allergies not to breathe in harmful sprays that can affect them. It lasts a long time. Feels soft on the skin and very easy to apply. Be great to see it in cardboard tubes rather than in the plastic tubes. Hope they can make the change. Well worth getting and more so when they change from plastic to cardboard.

As I rarely take claims as gospel, I remain cynical until the results are in. And for me, the results so far have not disappointed. I've used as directed and this product, a deodorant ONLY, has kept my pits adourned with subtle cedarwood and juniper and no unwanted niffs. I certainly didn't need much of it and, when used on clean skin, it does exactly what it says on the label which also mentions that it's 100% Natural Origin, Certified Vegan & Cruelty Free. It's free of gack and crammed with natural stuff. This will be purchased again. And again.

I bought this when pregnant and I was reading that chemical deodorant is best avoided. I was pleasantly surprised by this, the scent is nice and it does really absorb the sweat - other expensive brands I’ve tried just mask the scent rather than stopping the sweat and I find that a bit uncomfortable. The downside of this (but quite a big one if you wear a lot of dark colours ) is this leaves heavy white marks on clothes, which don’t wash completely out if you wash at 30 on a delicate cycle (which many of my clothes need)

I love the smell of this. I used to use the line one but tried this and it’s nice and woody / earthy. Used it for a few weeks no problem, then due to the Covid-19 and being indoors I never really wore deodorant or roll on and guessing from wearing long sleeves I developed a rash over time. The rash took a week to clear and I used this again and got a really bad rash. Again let the rash clear and thought it would be ok to use, but sadly the rash is back really badly this time so sadly I had to stop using this.

Most natural deodorants i have tied have ended up being epic failures. Some can sting my armpits, Whilst others don't really offer any protection from body odour. This all natural stick comes in a fresh pineapple and coconut scent, Which reminds me of piña coladas. The stick itself is easy to apply, And offers a decent amount of protection from excess sweating, But does not completely eliminate bad body odour. For me, It works well for sweat control, Which is exactly what i needed.
