So far I have only played Rise of Nations and not the expansion disk that came with it.I thought that it would take me a bit of time to get used to a new interface after being used to AoE gameplay in the past, but no it is basically the same game but notched up one step to make it a bit more strategic with things like markets to trade your resources but with fluctuating prices like the stock markets.The best bit about the game though is the ages. I always felt AoE needed to go further once you fully industrialised and this game does the job well. Although the graphics are a bit weaker than AoE (but that is becuase it is an older game)

Delivered quick, case in great condition. CD-Key worked fine.This game's great. I bought the physical copy for two reasons here.Firstly, so I can install and play this game whenever I don't have internet access, and on different computers.And secondly, because the "Extended Edition" release on Steam is completely backwards. It's full of bugs without any fixes, as well as seemingly random balance changes.Haven't had a single problem with this. Works just fine on Windows 7 and Windows 10. Highly recommend this game to anyone who likes strategy games in general.

Bought for my old 'puter running MS XP - which was a waste of time as it kept locking up & crashing out.Tried it on my Win 10 machine & to my surprise it loaded & worked perfectly. The graphics are typical of a 10 yr old game - but the game-play is intuitive and easily handled (even for a 72 yr old like me). Having been playing games since the Sinclair ZX81 I can say this is rather old hat but still great fun.

I bought this days 3 complets of Rise of nation Golden Edition cause my son - 9 years old wanted them to learn to play and to script some features in world builder.I found that very interesting and i filled his wish.Also i played that game few years ago and i found it still interesting for ages of my son.Now We shall play the game connected over multiplayer chanells :D

Game: 5 starsThis Edition: 1 starThe problem with this Ubisoft Edition is the fact that it doesn't include the needed CD-Keys to install the game. You'll have to search this information in the dark side of the internet. It seems it's a common problem with this release. It's a shame but its not the retailer's fault. Blame the publisher.

If you're into the whole Age of Empire type of game, this is for you. By most standards, it's a pretty old game, but it still has a kick. In comparison to some of the other games of its time, the graphics are incredible, and it really doesn't tax your machine at all to run.I love this game, and I recommend it to any RTS fan.

Highly addictive PC game. Basic strategy features such as resources, research, army units, some very basic diplomacy and more. Each nation has special powers. E.g. Germans have power of Industry, Spanish have power of exploration. Multiplayer function also available.

If you haven't bought Rise of Nations yet then you should. It's one of the best god-Sim strategy type games out there. It takes you from nomadic stone age people right up to the nuclear age. Well worth a few pounds.

This game combines the best of Civilisation and Age of Empires (both pretty awesomes games in themselves). I got it years ago and wasted many nights conquering the world. Still do waste a few.

A good RTS that offers a different style of play to the likes of Civilisation or Age of empires, landing somewhere in the middle of the two, it's a balance between combat and city building.

I chose this rating because of prompt and reliable delivery and the excellent condition of the purchase. It's a game well worth buying if you are interested in strategic planning.

Very good game.Plays on win 7 64 bit version.Only problem if you have kaspersky antivirus you need to make an exclusion on the directory of the game not to be scanned.

Game of the 'Rise and Fall' type. Plenty of action - with the economical side of it, not being too invasive. Options galore - with plenty of maps and settings.

By todays standards the visuals are still okay but its the gameplay that I love most about this game.I would recommend this to all RTS fans (new & old).
