This writes beautifully and there's less drag then with the biro I use mostly. I do have an ink pen but it dries up too easily so I end up putting it to one side and picking up a biro. This seems like a cross between them: it seems not to dry up as easily and yet looks more like an ink pen then a biro. The line is smooth and consistently so and it looks more attractive than my writing normally does as a result. The pen has a drop of wax or similar before first use, thereafter you retract it by pressing the top button. I'm not sure whether inside there is any sort of flap that seals the ink end but doubt it or there would be no need of the first use red wax drop removal.I deliberately left it unretracted for a half hour and found it had dried a little but it soon recovered and wrote. The colour of this blue pen is lighter than the blue of a bic biro is.There's a meter on the side showing ink level but as it's full I cannot judge how easy it is to see but took a photo for you anyway so you see the principal at least. The comfort level is excellent as there's just the right amount of sponginess and grip to make this a pen good to use for long periods of writing. As a signature pen as the writing looks so good it would be great and stand yours out.

All of my usual gel pens come with caps, which is a little inconvenient as these have to be removed and placed on the other end of the pen when writing. This is the first retractable gel pen I have used so it was not that surprising that the gel tip has a wax sealant to prevent the gel from drying out which must be removed before first use. This is one of the smoothest writing gel pens I have every used. Comparing it with my usual Uniball Eye Fine and Micro pens, the pen just glides across the page. At first, it feels as if you have less “control” over the pen tip when writing but the smoothness does make it less tiring to write notes for extended periods. The ink itself is deposited evenly on the page,in an eye catching bright blue colour that is a pleasure to read. In terms of line width, the stated 0.38 mm “F line” is similar to Uniball Eye Fine UB-157 pens. It is a perfect line width for general handwriting although those wanting higher levels of precision would be better served by a gel pen such as the Uniball Eye Micro UB-150 that has a 0.2 mm line width.

The Gel Rollerball is very comfortable to hold and it retracts with the click of the button. When it arrives, it has the plastic protector on the tip but it didn’t take any effort to get the ink flowing – it was there straight away. It’s classed as a fine liner but I’d say the line is pretty standard with no ability to make it thinner by pressing any lighter. The ink is very well pigmented in a lovely blue and it flows very easily but I would warn any left handers that it can smudge quite easily especially if you’re a fast writer – this can vary from surface to surface though but I’ve noticed smudging on an envelope and if you have something less porous like the packaging it arrives in,it just makes a mess so test it before using it. I do like the addition of the visible ink tank although there’s still a lot to be used beyond that level so the most reliable way to tell is just to unscrew it. I also really like that this is refillable to help cut down on plastic waste although how much this compares to something like a BIC I’m not sure.

This is a lovely pen and ideal for anyone who has difficulty holding a pen. My daughter used to buy silicone sleeves to cushion the pen making it more comfortable to hold and this pen has its own cushioning which makes it really comfortable to hold. My middle finger right hand has a bump from trapping it in a door when I was at school so I find a lot of pens difficult to use but this is perfect for me.The pen comes packaged and with a little red bit of plastic on the end of the nib to ensure it doesn't leak- it took me a minute to work this out!The nib is a fine 0.4mm and it writes really nicely, perfect for writing cards for birthdays etc and I find this type of pen help make your handwriting look neater.Overall this is a really lovely pen and I would absolutely recommend it.It even has a window so you can see how much ink is left!Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I hope you found it helpful :)

Stabilo pens often have the reputaton of being a trusty, high-quality brand of pen, and this product certainly enforces such a view! This pen, first of all, glides perfectly and smoothly across the paper. It's really nice to use, and there's no ink jamming or bunching. It writes very well. The pen has an 'ink meter' of sorts, too, which lets you know and alerts you to how much ink is left when it starts to get low. Very, very useful, and not seen ony many pens in my own experience. The pen's sculpt itself is a bit thicker than most pens I've had and like, not as slim or as ergonomic as it otherwise could be. But there is still the standard grip towards the nib of the pen, which proves useful. All in all, this pen is a very nice one, and still feels high quality, writing really well and easily. The problem I had was the pen is a thicker one, but if that's your kind of thing, then this is the ideal pen for you!

a rollerball pen, with blue ink. It will take refills. Sold separately. The point comes out via pressing the top. Once you've got it out of the cardboard packaging, that is. There is something affixed to the bottom of said point to begin with, but once that is snapped off it will write fine. And write fine it does. The ink is good and clear, and also dries quickly. The size of the pen means it's very easy to hold. And the ink means it writes very fine. Which is to say that if you can't read your own handwriting, and that is a problem I really suffer from, then you will like this because it does make the end result a lot clearer than you are used to.A decent pen,and well worth giving it a try.

Great pen, and just what I look for. The thin tip means that you get more detail in your writing and for a messy writer like me, it helps! The housing is well made and the grip is very friction-y so it ensures that you don't slip whilst writing. The only problem that I found is that the housing is a little thick in diameter and I would have prefered a more slim-line look. This is personal however and it may be okay for you. I am also left handed which means that if the ink dries too slowly it will smudge. The ink runs out generously from this pen but it seems to dry quick enough for me not to notice any smudging.Questionable if its worth £10 however but the actual ink and tip is top!

I love this pen because of it's smooth glide. It has a 0.4 mm fine point and my writing with this looks so much neater. The larger grip (having mild arthritis in my hands) helps by not having to put as much pressure on the pen and I've found that I can write faster with this. It's a great idea that this is designed to be refillable - especially when you find a pen that's so comfortable to use. Plus anything that helps the environment gets my vote. You simply unscrew the top barrel to change the replace the ink. It has an indicator level to monitor the ink levels which is really helpful. The refills on Amazon work out at approx. £1.80 each so overall this is good value for money.

The retractable Gel Rollerball pen feels nice in my fingers, it is the right size, comfortable and is made of slightly grippy material so that you don't have to hold it too tightly. The ink flows nicely, making it easy to write quickly & write large or small too. The gel rollerball pen is ideal for use in any paperwork, office work, exams and general work load etc, the pen is really comfortable to hold and glides nicely over paper, card, post it notes pretty much any form of paper, definitely recommend this STABILO retractable gel rollerball pen

Stabilo is great make of stationary. They hardly ever fail or let down. This pen is advertised as fine tip but it's not as thin as it could be I guess. I've used thinner pens than this one.As it's gel pen it's very smooth to write with.Colour is very vibrant royal blue.Bottom of the pen is rubbery for a goo grip which is great but it also attracts a lot of fluff and dust.Pen is retractable so no need to worry about mess or a cap.Great pen overall but not as fine as others.Makes up in smoothness when in use.

I don't do much writing these days but when I do I like a decent pen. This 1 fits the bill perfect. It's very comfortable to hold. It writes well and has a really nice flow. It's a nice rubber for the fingers to hold and feels very nice. The only thing letting it down and it's not that much. It's the ink colour. I like black and this writs blue but it's a nice blue. This pen still gets top marks. It's a very nice smooth flow.5-5 for quality.

Retractable Gel rollerball a nice smooth writer. I am a devil with pens I buy them and then they get stuck into the bottom of my handbag and forgotten about, but this one has been pulled out on many occasions and someone even tried to pinch it on pain of their death!! Its that nice a writer. My only issue is the ink is a paler blue that I would like as I normally write with black ink.

Nice comfortable grip, good thickness to the pen, it has a slight chunk to to.Writes with really good flow, but does have a tendency to smudge as being gel takes a little time to dry. Not great for writing on some birthday cards that have the glazed/gloss surface as it just smudges straight off.Found this great for crosswords and puzzles. Really pigmented and fluid gel.

A lovely quality roller ball pen. It feels like quality and writes like it.Its on the pricey side, but then environmentally we are better off buying one decent quality instrument and looking after it, than buying endless disposable packets. And you can get refills for theseAS a small contribution to environmental change, this would thus be a good choice

This retractable and refillable gel pen is ergonomically comfortable in the hand. The non-slip barrel makes it comfortable to write for long periods of time, which is especially useful when taking minutes. The 0.4mm tip is ideally suited to my handwriting. It is also refillable with different coloured inks.I would recommend this pen.
