I'd worked with neither cement nor concrete before this product, so have no such experience for comparison. For my first attempt at a casting (just the inside bottom of a large plastic yoghurt pot), I followed the 3 succinct photographic instructions on the side of the tub, which took 15 minutes in total and around 48 hours to cure (sped-up toward the end by leaving in the sun); see the 2 included photos.Regarding the water ratio, I approximated the demonstrational image's consistency. The air-exposed top dried: very coarse, a little darker and took much longer than those against mould walls. It looks to me not unlike the type concrete one sees in and around street pavements. The casting's bottom set to a speckled light grey, with a surprising smoothness and shine, almost like a pottery glaze.Similarly surprising was the level of detail: embossed batch/serial numbers(?) are clearly legible, along with the pot's cleaning and recycling emblems.I don't yet know how to prevent the many cavenous pits presumably caused by pockets of air.The side of the casting's surface is like that described above, but unfortunately with more relatively dark matte patches.Perhaps using a mold release might help in future.I recognised none of the problems frustratingly described by fellow reviewers. Maybe the manufacturer has improved the design?

I bought this to make a small handful of concrete coasters. Followed the instructions on the packaging (one part water to ten parts cement), and that gave me a yogurt-like consistency. Perfect for pouring.Left to cure in flexible moulds for 12 hours before peeling out. At this point, they were well set enough to sand, but they did continue to dry out for a further 12 hours, at which point they became a nice light grey.Fairly rough consistency on the exposed face, but incredibly smooth on the mould face and edges. No problems with this whatsoever. It's all in the mix and the technique.

Having not used this special cement for craft before, only the ordinary, I was interested in the difference. It is much finer, was easy to mix etc. My problem was I didn't know how far it would go and it isn't actually very far. probably 8- 10 hexagon moulds for cacti pots. it is essential you oil surfaces well - learnt by experience!

First time I have bought cement for craft purposes. Not sure what to say - I like the sheen on the dried product, but does create some air bubbles. I like the rustic effect but some people might not. I did find the mix quite gravelly.

Excellent for making planters with. The only slight downside is the price. You can make similar results with just buying cement, and the grey from that isn’t much darker than the one made using this product.

Great for crafting. Arrived quickly but unfortunately the lid was loose and there was cement everywhere inside the bag - simply needed the lid to be taped down. Not massive spillage and product is fine.

Was expecting for the consistency to be a bit finer... though dried pretty quick which was good
