I used this to glue together a Schmidt 1000 piece jigsaw. The glue is liquid in consistency and applied using a sponge attached to the bottle. I laid my jigsaw on some waxed brown parcel wrapping (newspaper will probably do but the glue will seep through the newspaper to the surface underneath). Following the manufacturer's instructions I ensured the glue was gently rubbed into all the crevices and left it for one hour.I found the result to be "ok" but added another coat of glue "just in case" . Note, if you've washed the sponge applicator after use as advised, make sure the applicator is dry before using again otherwise all the water retained by the sponge results in a very watery mix.Once the second coat had dried (it dries clear and unnoticeable)I was able to easily lift the jigsaw into it's picture frame. Expect the jigsaw to be flexible - this product doesn't glue it into a solid board. A tad on the expensive side, hence 4 stars.

If you want your puzzle pieces to stick together and not fall apart when picked up, then get this. This looks and smells like a water-downed version of the type of safe glue you give to kids. I bought a frame with just a glass panel, and used the glue on the image side and turned it over (once it had dried) and sparingly glued the other side (don't over do it too many times or the underside of the pieces will dye the sponge and the paper will start to peel off in little clumps and make the puzzle lumpy-looking in when flat on the image side), once that's dry (and you don't want a glass panel) get another glue to glue the image to the back part of the frame.Note that if you do put too much glue in some areas and not in the others, some areas will stick to the back frame and others places it won't.Overall very good.

We wanted to hang a number of jigsaws on the wall so needed to 'set' them before mounting. Surprisingly few options and I'll admit choosing this as the cheapest. One bottle gave a single coat on 4x (approx) 65x45cm puzzles. I found this to be sufficient to hold all the pieces in place and after mounting to backing card w/regular PVA didn't see any curling. The bottle has a 'push to open' valve in the middle of a circular foam applicator - just like certain liquid shoe polishes. The nib on the valve would foul (and tear) the edges of some pieces so I found it easiest to push the bottle down in one place, dispense some onto the surface of the jigsaw then work it in.The 'glue'is quite thin so I found I needed a torch to see where i'd missed. Very effective product.

I have used this product 3 times now, on two 1,000 piece and one 5,000 piece Colin Thompson jigsaws. The first 2 have been framed and the biggest one has been treated and is awaiting the framer's attentions. Although applying the conserver is a fairly laborious process, if done correctly it is very effective. I use 3 coats, allowing at least 24hrs between applications and having inserted greaseproof paper underneath the puzzle. It then becomes stable enough to allow mounting and I've been really pleased with the results. The product is thin and goes on looking a bit milky, but soon dries clear. It has a sponge applicator and is easy to use.

Took me a few minutes to figure out how to open this (by pulling upward on the sponge part) and two coats to get this to do the trick, but it worked like it was supposed to do for my 250 piece puzzle. Closed the solution by pushing the sponge part back down and gave the sponge a good wash. Dried clear with no streaks which made me happy! I definitely employed the wax paper trick under the puzzle that I'd read about online and that was a life saver as I may have got a bit of the solution off the sides of the edge of the puzzle. It protected my table and didn't allow the puzzle to stick to the paper! Make sure you do this if you can!

Having completed your jigsaw puzzle...run the glue over the picture getting into the groves of the jigsaw.Don't about the white colour, it will dry clear. Once dry, the glue keeps the jigsaw together and gives the picture a light sheen to finish it off.The jigsaw would still need support due to the very weight of it but the glue once set will give the jigsaw stability to move it around without it completely falling apart. Please be sure the jigsaw is on paper underneath as the glue does seep through and would allow the jigsaw to stick to your table

This isn't a toy, well I hope it isn't! If you are looking for great glue that really holds your jigsaw puzzle together this is it! I've used this on a 3000 piece jigsaw and there was plenty left for perhaps another one. It does look very foamy when first applied but it soons dry out and keeps the puzzle intact. This glue will seem through the pieces so make sure you have card or paper below the puzzle unless you want your jigsaw to stick to the table!! Very good prodcut, I would recommend it.

I have about 30 finished and framed puzzles hanging on my walls of different sizes. And only used this conserver to glue them. I've read in some other comment that special puzzles, in my case glow in the dark ones, lose their glow - did not happen to me, I have few of those, glued together with few coats of the glue, and they still glow just fine :) one metallic effect puzzle did have few pieces of puzzle picture come out in appliance, but that happened only once.

This was very easy to apply to my jigsaw and would recommend placing paper or something underneath as it runs through. I applied two layers, the first then leaving it to dry. Then the second and it obviously is not perfectly one piece but still stays together when I need to move it.It's simple enough to use and perfect to movie it into a frame. I would recommend wiping it after the second layer as it leave slight residue which may affect the display once framed.

This glue is fine however do not use it on a bare surface and make sure to put the puzzle on a newspaper or something.I put it on the floor and it went through the holes of my 1000 piece puzzle and stuck to the floor[ I managed to get it off but it was really hard and broke a bit of the puzzle]. It does not stick the pieces together too much so u have to be careful other than that this product is quite useful and it may come in use for other things.

Along with all other Ravensburger product (jigsaw puzzles etc.) this is a very high quality item and works very well as a fix for vertical mounting of completed jigsaw puzzles. As such it should not really be classified as a 'toy'. The only reason I could not give it 5 stars is that the instructions included are extremely brief and not comprehensive enough. I had to telephone the Manufacturer for some clarification.P.WINTERTON

I used it to glue together a 3000 piece puzzle. When applying it, it leaves a white smudge but when it dries it becomes transparent. I then placed the Puzzle on the wall and in the process I had to move it from one place to another - did not have any problem at all. So the puzzle holds together good. The only down-side is that after applying the glue, the puzzle looses some of its shine.

Puzzle conserver is, of course, not a toy. It's glue. It works perfectly, drying to an invisible finish. Some issues raised by other users suggest they are trying to skimp on the glue - it's important to use the amount suggested in the instructions. Having said that, we've glued four 1,000 piece jigsaws and still have around 20% left.If you want to display jigsaws, this is perfect.

Works really well. I would just advise not using this on any puzzle that doesn't have a glaze on it. Used it once on a puzzle I thought was glazed (it wasn't), and it ended up messing up the colours and soaking into the puzzle pieces and made stains.Other than that, it really deserves a 5 star rating. It works well (if the person using it doesn't mess up)

Bought this for a 1000 piece puzzle. As other reviews state, I would put on a couple of coats. Goes on cloudy and dries clear. You have to squeeze the bottle quite hard, so had a bit of an achy hand afterwards, but was totally worth it. My jigsaw is now beautifully stuck together and framed. And there's enough left in the bottle for another few puzzles.
