One thing about the Post-it notes brand that I'm sure everyone would agree on is that they tend to be brightly coloured so they draw attention. The traditional pale canary yellow colour is very noticeable. Post-it have experimented with other colours but the one thing I've never come across before is a dark coloured Post-it note. What kind of pen would you use to write on such a thing? And indeed, why bother? This pack from the Bangkok colour collection (it doesn't actually say anything about Bangkok on the packaging, just the product description) is a very interesting mix of colours. There is no hint of traditional pale yellow - there is a deep almost fluorescent orange,a fairly darkish pink - once again almost fluorescent - and finally, most controversially, a dark blue-turquoise. They've sneaked the blue pad in between the pink and the orange so the colour combination looks attractive, but from the point of view of practicality it's a bit of an odd choice. You can write perfectly legibly with darker inks on the blue pad, and I suppose the rarity of this colour might make people stop and look at it, but if you are of more advanced years and require reading glasses - and can't read so well when the light gets dim, you're going to struggle to see what is written on this particular pad.Like all Post-it notes the paper that is used accepts ink very gracefully. I have a whole collection of fountain pen inks and the paper accepts this very well - it dries quickly and doesn't smudge. The glue on these pads is super sticky so a bit less likely to fall off whatever you stick it on.Finally, if you suffer from OCD these three pads might make you feel uneasy. None are exactly the same size. The ruled lines on the blue and pink pads line up, but the lines on my orange pad start a few mm higher. If you make them into a stack all three pads feel exactly the same width, but the orange pad is 1mm shorter than the blue, which in turn is about 2mm shorter than the pink. All three pads are fractionally different heights - I haven't yet counted all the pages in each pad so I don't know whether this is because the papers are different thicknesses, or that they contain different numbers of sheets. And when you look at them from the edge, the ruled lines on every page of the pink pad line up exactly while on the orange pad they make a fuzzy line which makes it look like the pad that was made on a Friday afternoon. The blue pad is very neatly made but it has blue lines on a blue background - kind of Marvin The Paranoid Android meets Hotblack Desiato’s stuntship, if you know what I mean.

Despite computerisation, we find with our back office functions that we are using more and more paper. We take more and more notes, ask more and more questions and transmit far more information in the form of to-do lists, requests, messages and so on.We used to have Post-It notes delivered by the hundreds by willing drug reps who would empty their bags and briefcases and we would gladly receive and use them all. The pharmaceutical regulatory body decided in their wisdom that this was tantamount to bribery, because the notes would often have a company name or the name of a drug on the bottom and supplies dwindled. We are now back to using more paperclips and the stapler, neither of which are satisfactory.Enter these amazing Post-It notes which are larger, have ruled lines and come in three vivid shades of day-glo yellow, blue and pink. They are also fully recyclable and have nice sticky panels which means that they will stick to just about anything, even dusty crumbling old patient’s notes which we still need occasionally. They are easy to write on, stick securely and don’t tend to come off, which is very useful in our business if someone gives you an anonymous note without patient details on which has somehow come unstuck and is now attached to the wrong file! The format is ideal for the longer note and the surface easy to write on with a variety of writing implements, surface seems colour fast and stable and even ink-gel pens do not smudge. Once complete the note is hard wearing and does not appear to degrade or fade. They are perhaps a little large for our needs as the smaller format was just about perfect, the colours are perhaps just a little too harsh on one’s eyes and could do with toning down a bit and I sense that the wonderful smell that used to come off them as one opened them up has somehow been lost, either in the recycling or manufacturing process. Other than this they are very welcome and an essential addition to the modern paper-lite office. Many thanks.

The original Post-it note was Canary Yellow (TM) - unfortunately the canary who should have trademarked that colour let the whole bird community down. I guess they figured they'd get around to it one day. Eventually they flew down to the trademark office with all the forms only to discover that the 3M corporation had beaten them to it. Canaries must henceforth forever describe themselves as merely "yellow".These Rio colour collection Post-it notes depart from the norm, containing two each of these colours (i) a slightly darker and saturated yellow by comparison with Canary Yellow (ii) moderately deep flourescent pink (iii)mid-to-dark turquoise that Post-it describe as "Mediterranean blue".All of these Post-it notes are made from the same type of paper that are easy to write on and accept pretty much any type of ink you care to use.But to my mind the blue notes are unhelpfully dark which is why I've knocked one star off my rating. The original Post-it note (TM) was rectangular, being 127mm wide and 76mm tall. Post-it have experimented with a huge range of sizes, but these are a size I've never seen before at 101mm x 101mm. If you do the maths you find that their surface area is 5.7% bigger than a standard Post-it. Being completely square and lined this might make them a little more suited to some uses such as temporary list-making.These notes are super sticky so they remain in place longer and under more demanding conditions. Yesterday I drilled a hole in a wall, made a clever fold in one of these Post-it notes and used it to capture the brick dust that came out. There was never a hint that it would fall off the wall, despite holding quite a lot of brick dust. Of course this extra stickiness comes with a little warning that it might damage whatever it is stuck to but if you're working on ancient manuscripts and sticking Post-it notes to them then you deserve whatever is coming to you.

What can you say about the inventiveness of post-it notes? I use them so much as page markers, note-lets and reminders, across a range of sizes and now they come in A6 format with rules. These are great for note taking and, of course, for sticking the notes to stuff when you have done so. One of the things that I have used post-its for, over the years, is as organisers for various flow charts and time lines and time tables - being able to position and re-position various objects and objectives makes very creative use of these simple bits of paper. You could use these A6 stickies for simple note-taking, shopping lists etc, but notebooks already do a good job at that, but I will continue to use them for planning and organisation, including the making of charts - these larger notes will simply carry more information such as lists and instructions. Okay, so I have found a good use for A6 post-its, but the real question you need to ask, is do you really need them, this size and with lines? What do they do that a small notebook can't do except be able to stick to a wall of organisation board? My only answer is that if you do have them, you will find a use for them, but they are not essential to business or work-a-day life, if i am honest. So why 5 star rating? Simply because I will find a use for them and then continue to use them as I have for every other size in the range - I would prefer if they were unlined, making them better suited to diagrams rather than just note taking, but I guess you can ignore the lines. All-in-all, my rating is for personal reasons: if you have no use they are not worth a star at all, but if you do, while not essential, they have a definite purpose and usefulness which I like.

Post-it Super Sticky Ruled Notes - Fuchsia - 101 x 152 mm - 3 x 90 sheet padThe Post-it brand has been expanding its range recently and this is another addition for stationery geeks. These are exactly the same as the regular Post-it notes everyone's familiar with, except (i) they are super-sized (10 x 15cm), (ii) the come in bright colours (blue, green, pink), (iii) they are ruled and (iv) the low-tack glue is about twice as sticky. They're useful for making really big notes or lists, if that's what you fancy doing, and sticking onto slippery surfaces like glossy walls or computer screens. I've been using them to make shopping lists by sticking one on a kitchen cabinet where it happily stayswhile I add items over the course of a few days.=== THINGS I LIKE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT ===* The usual good quality you'd expect from the original low tack sticky notes - quality paper, quality glue* Bigger size for bigger notes* Bright colours, meaning they certainly do stand out!* The ruling is nicely wide, giving plenty of space to write your notes* The glue strip at the top is about twice as sticky, meaning they're good for surfaces they don't normally adhere to, such as walls with knobbly wallpaper, and can be removed and repositioned without losing their stickiness=== NIGGLES ===* As is usual with Post-It notes, these are more expensive than the supermarket or pound shop variety - currently just under 2p per sheet* I'm not sure I personally have a use for Post-its this size as, when I make a note and want to stick it on something, generally it'll be a smaller oneFor sale at the time of writing this review at £6.

The common and original 76 x 76mm and the next larger 76 x 127mm size of Post-It Notes have long been the office standards in many companies and also personally; one or other was always in my briefcase for use at meetings with clients and one or both on my desk to meet almost any brief 'note' demands that may arise daily. There was real alternative size then available and a lined version was not then an option. They are now!"Post-it Super Sticky Notes - Ultra Colours 6 Lined Pads Per Pack - 90 Sheets Per Pad - 100 mm x 100 mm" is also a size not previously known but the larger 102 x 153 lined Post-Its have all but replaced the smaller original sizes in current daily use, but they are sometimes just too large. These are an excellent compromise and with about 75% extra writing space relative to the older 76x76 types. That they are lined is a real bonus as it leads to tidier and easier-to-read notes being passed around, affixed to documents etc, should that be normal practice. The paper is thicker than standard and more opaque in consequence, and the adhesive is of the 'Super' type, stronger and stickier than normal and more suited to the types of surface not well served by the standard adhesive and Notes. The pack contains 6 pads of 90 sheets but in five colours, a few less per pad than is normal for the standard range. The 102x153 lined Notes are sometimes used at home for shorter shopping lists of about 12-15 items and others where their size and lines will be of benefit.A useful addition to the existing range, an option if their larger size and lined nature will be beneficial.

When I was younger, I have to say that I was a bit obsessed with Post-It notes and ended up accumulating quite a large collection of pads, in all shapes and colours. Roll on (some) years and whilst I do not actively have a collection, I must say that I'm still a little bit excited when I see some Post-It note pads! These particular pads are a development on the version which I had when I was growing up, which managed to stick to virtually any surface, possibly for a number of days, before gradually losing their stickiness and falling off. These super sticky notes are, as the name would suggest, much more sticky and so tend to last a bit longer, before falling off the wall.In terms of the colour,I love the vibrancy of this pack, which contains two of each bright pink, yellow and blue. Of course, if you prefer the more common, pale yellow colour, these are also available, in the super stick variant.Unless you are an industrial user of Post-It notes, this pack should last you for a reasonably long time, given that it contains 540 individual Post-It notes! Accordingly, that makes them incredibly good value in my view, especially considering how many uses they can have in every home or office environment. The only aspect I'm not convinced about is the presence of the lines, as I think it somewhat defeats the purpose of a Post-It note, which in my view is for a quickly scribbled down note, which is then stuck to a wall or other surface. However, I guess other people may have different uses for Post-It notes, in which case you may consider the inclusion of lines to be important.

These are the square version of the Super Sticky notes - the others are 15cm x 10, these are 10 x 10 (roughly). Post-it notes are a fantastic idea and have been used for years in this household. This pack of five colours (though six pads) is extra sticky, which is really good. They are lined which makes them ideal for things like shopping lists and instructions ("Your dinner's in the dog. You'll find a ready meal in the freezer. etc.") and great for note taking. I tend to detach a few sheets and have them in the back of my diary or any notebook I'm using at work for those occasions when you need to leave a note for someone. They can be easily written on, are quite robust and can be repositioned easily.Having a variety of bright colours to choose from is a great aid to productivity.Post-it has a great reputation and I’ve noticed that their products, over the last couple of years, have diversified and improved in quality. Certainly their adhesive properties have improved and I would now always purchase the real deal rather than a cheap imitation from a zillion other manufacturers. The good points are the range of colours, the quality of the product, the fact that Post-its can be easily repositioned and how handy they are to have on your desk (or anywhere around the house where quick note-taking or marking is required).I've only given four stars because I think the price asked is a bit steep, though the quality is not in question.

I have been using Post-it notes for many, many years, I use a lot of them in my everyday life and find them very useful for leaving messages for other members of the family and for writing notes to myself reminding myself to do things etc. and I was looking forward to trying this double pack of Super Sticky Lined Post It Notes. These are a fairly new variety of Post-it Notes … super sticky notes … which really do stick incredibly well. Each pad measures 12.5cm x 20cm and contains 45 sheets. They can be used just about anywhere and as they are extra sticky they are perfect for leaving messages for other family members on various flat surfaces … the fridge, phone, desk, bathroom mirror etc.I have been using these notes in our home office, making notes on paperwork for filing or for paying and usually when I do this some sticky notes always seem to get knocked off the various bits of paper and then I cannot remember what I was supposed to be doing with it in the first place. With these super sticky notes that doesn't seem to be happening. The paper used is a fairly good thickness (probably 80 or 90 gsm), brilliant for writing on with either pencil or biro. Felt tips, fountain pen or roller ball might show through depending on the pen used.I think these super sticky notes are the best so far, easy to see as they are brightly coloured (pink and lime green) and sticky enough for so many different uses. Brilliant.

One of several multi-colour sets of these larger 10.5 x 15.2cm Post-It notes that are ruled in a fairly wide spacing to suit a wide range of users and their varying needs. The same product, in the original Post-It yellow and with additional Notes per pad, has been in regular use for about a year and used for longer inter-personal notes, lists and as mini-worksheets and notepads. These will continue the practice and offer an option of using the extra colours if and when they will collectively offer some additional benefit. However, preference is for pads with a larger number of sheets (80-100).The paper used is thicker than is normal for the brand and the adhesive used is of the 'Super'type used with those of the range where the products will be always or sometimes need to be attached to those surfaces usually considered as 'difficult'; they primarily include verticals and textured surfaces but not wallpaper and similar fabric surfaces that can be easily damaged by the standard product and probably more easily by these.Because of the thicker paper and other factors, each pad comprises 45 sheets (100 is normal for most pads) but will normally only be used when their larger size and nature makes sense; smaller Post-It are still used extensively on a daily basis to pass on the names and contact numbers of callers and other brief information that is most appropriate to their size.

I'll be honest - I'm a big fan of standardisation. Within reason. So I find these somewhat larger than usual post-it notes...annoying. However, the redeeming feature in this case is that they're NOT dispenser style notes, by that I mean the Z-note style that require a "non standard" size dispenser. So, you're not buying into a system that may or may not be rare or discontinued later. In this specific example you're just buying a pad of notes in a bigger size. And that's fine. I guess. I still prefer the 76x76mm ones though. But..fine.Lines on post it notes are something you either want or you don't. I can go either way on that. Probably I'd choose them without lines but it's personal preference. The lines aren't super intrusive, you're quite free to ignore them.Super sticky is definitely more sticky than normal sticky but not sticky enough to stick and not unstick. Yes - I did fit seven sticky words in one sentence. I think, and this is a hunch, but I think they just use more of the same glue rather than stickier glue.I did receive the exact colours in the photo, a greenish sort of goo colour, lime I suppose, a quite bright pink (brighter than photo) and a dark blue. The blue won't show blue pen very well, if at all.Overall they're post it notes at the end of the day and it's rare to have any serious reasons to give post it notes a bad review!

I have always liked the idea of 'post it notes' but whenever I have used them in the past, I find that they always fall off leaving me trying to think about what I was going to do with the piece of paper that was attached to.This set of Post it Notes seems to have taken care of that little problem … they are super sticky and do not cost that much more.In the pack you get three decent sized lined notepads that have a sticky strip along the top. Each notepad measures 15.2cm in height x 10.2cm in width and consists of 90 pages of single sided lined paper. Each of the three pads are a different colour and you receive bright yellow, pink and blue (the colours are very bright and remind me of the colours of highlighter pens)The paper used is a fairly good thickness (probably 80 or 90gsm), brilliant for writing on with either pencil or biro. Felt tips, fountain pen or roller ball might show through depending on the pen used. The stickiness of these pads are much better than the original post it notes and I have found that they really do stick on most surfaces and do not fall off easily (obviously in damp or wet environments they will). To sum up … I much prefer these 'super adhesive' post it notes and these will be my first choice in future.

I love these post-its for two reasons:(a) They are super-sticky. This is important when you are using post-its for stuff that you want to keep, or re-arrange lots of times. Regular post-its (and even worse, cheaper generics) tend to start falling off very soon.(b) They are a good size, so you can write a decent amount on them, with rules lines to keep it neat. So, these are not post-its for brainstorming where you write one or two words on a sheet and stick on the wall. Regular ones (which also come in super-sticky) are fine for that. These are for things like story-boarding, where you want to write more on each sheet, e.g., synopsis of a scene,or summary of the contents of a presentation slide. Also good for workshops where you want people to write more on each sheet. I have used them for risk workshops, where participants can write the risk, the impact and possible mitigation on a single sheet. These are too large for everyday, stick-a-note-and-leave-on-someone's-monitor type use, but if you need to capture more per note, and be able to rearrange multiple times (and then have the finished version stay in place for weeks - literally, these stay up for months) then these are the ones for you.

This 6413 pack of super sticky Post-it notes is made by 3M in the USA and contains three pads of brightly coloured square notes. Although still proper Post-it's there are none of the traditional canary yellow variety here - just very bright assorted colours like turquoise, lime green and shocking pink – and these eye-catching colours are really great for attracting someone's attention! These Post-it notes are the lined variety so they can help to make your memos look a bit neater if you have dodgy handwriting and being super sticky they offer a stronger bond than conventional Post-its. These notes are square in size, being 101mm by 101mm (4 inches), and there are three, seventy-sheet pads in this bundle.Just one point I would add is that although the colours are nice and bright you will need to take care with the colour of the ink you write on them with to get the best results. Post-its may not be the cheapest sticky notes on the market but they are the original and still the best - and these exciting colours make a bright change from the plain canary yellow ones. This pack is currently just over twelve pounds from Amazon so only gets four stars for value at that that rather high price.
