I've used 3M Scotch Post-It Notes of all sizes ever since available from the early 80s, not only in the workplace but also at home dealing with a small business's admin/filing, as well as plenty of personal filing and other uses. One of those simple inventions which comes along and I can't imagine what life was like before! -- certainly couldn't do without them now for notes, reminders, markers, labels or whatever. I go through literally dozens of them constantly, generally buying multi-packs to last longer.Local supermarkets used to stock the genuine 3M Post-Its in smaller packs or singly, but more recently only appear to offer their own brands. I've bought these sometimes if I was short or tempted by the lower prices, but it's always been a BIG mistake. Not a patch on 3M, and even on first use they lift straight away and just fall off, even from a sheet of paper -- simply not effective. I've weeded through old files and folders and sometimes come across 3M Post-Its from 30 years ago still doing their job. No marks or residue when removed, and they're just as good for temporary reminders to stick on a variety of smooth surfaces, although 3M's super-sticky notes are more secure and better for some. The genuine 3M article certainly costs more, but in my experience it's false economy to buy anything else. Whatever size or colours you prefer, they're all good.

This product works. Unfortunately. When these first arrived I was very pleased ,nice and small handy for leaving myself the odd reminder on the computer screen bezel you know 8pm live football or beers low order more in the morning. But things began to turn sour. The wife found them on my desk and it wasn't long before they started popping up everywhere. At first on the cereal box. Remember to roll up bag and clip. Then on cupboard doors don't forget to close cupboard doors (yes they are the small ones but the wife can fit a lot on with her tiny writing).Next the fridge and freezer were used for her new totalitarian housekeeping regime. Close the fridge door, don't eat all the olives, close the freezer draw,if your using the last of the ice you have had too much to drink and put the washing machine on before you pass out please. It only got worse. I would pull back the bed sheet and there would be another reminder to lock the front door. These little notes will stick to anything and I knew things had gone too far when the cat walked in with one stuck to its forehead with please feed me. By all means buy these but beware keep them locked away for they are more dangerous than they appear.

There can’t be many people in the developed world over the age of four who have never come across Post-It notes or their equivalent. So there is no need to tell you what they are useful for. I might suggest you SHOULDN’T stick one on or near your computer screen with your password on it – but apparently that’s precisely what a lot of people do use them for.Post-It notes have also been used – famously in some cases – for papering entire walls, and in various forms of art. Being only 38mm x 51mm (1.5” x 2”), these are not so handy as wallpaper as the bigger ones, but they make a neat notelet, plenty big enough for a good many uses – and don’t forget you can write on both sides (fold it back on itself, making a hinge of the edge of the sticky strip). When finished with – or you change your mind about where you want to stick them – they peel off most surfaces without leaving any mark behind, and cheerfully stick to the next thing just as well. This pack of 12 pads of 100 sheets each, 300 in total of each of four colours, will keep most of us going for quite a while, and the range of colours offers lots of colour coding flexibility.

These are amongst the smallest size of Post-it notes at 38mm x 51mm and, as such, I mainly use them to make notes within documents. They are also useful to act as prompts to clients in application forms or other documents as their bright coloured paper makes them stand out against black and white text, making them difficult to miss. This is a pack of 12 pads, each containing 100 sheets of paper and you get three each of yellow, blue, pink and green.I have come to rely on the Post-it brand as the notes adhere well to paper and a number of other surfaces but can be removed easily without damaging whatever they have been stuck to, no matter how long they have been say, between the pages of a book.I use Post-it products daily, for note taking, page marking and the tabs are good for pointing out to clients where they need to insert information as well as signatures on paperwork. There are alternatives but I haven’t found one yet that is as versatile or reliable as the Post-it brand.

I've never really been one to use Post-Its for fridges, household stuff etc with the exception of moving, very handy for labelling boxes! But I use Post-Its day-in day-out for work and personal development. My primary use is for workshops and making notes for books and this set of two sizes is perfect for both tasks. The medium sized notepads are great for workshops - scrawling on with a Sharpie or going for a bit more detail with a pen, colour-coding for different tasks, I can go through pad after pad. I also use the Post-It app, which when you first hear about it sounds like a joke but is a great way to digitise Post-Its once you've got them on a wall.If you're using Post-Its regularly for this kind of activity do think about picking up the app.The small post-its I often use for marking up books I read. They're not just colour-coded bookmarks for me - there are of course better options for that - but for shorthand notes.Go for it, you'll find a use for them.

For those who know post-it notes, err... these are post-it notes, the tiny ones half the size of the most common onesFor those who don't know them, well once upon a time there was a company that made some self sticking squares of paper. Something went wrong with the glue and they didn't stick properly so they left a whole batch of them in the office for staff to take and use or throw away. To their surprise, the message came back that everyone loved them and that was the start of a wonderful product, (and a wonderful profit).Despite the advance of Evernote and other computer packages, post-its are still the handiest way to write down notes, thoughts, messages, to-dos. You can stick them on your desk,on your computer, you can stack a wadge of them into your bag to take between home and work. I have seen walls covered in them. They also pick up dust and dirt on your desk if it's too untidy to clean properly.

Unlike cheaper imitations, these post-its have good glue that does not stick too firmly yet holds and can be re-sited several times. The paper also takes ink better than some alternatives, although this still depends on the writing instrument. I love this size for everything - reminders, quick notes, but also for adding entries to my commonplace book, annotations, study notes and so forth. I do have very small handwriting so I can fit *a lot* on one of these. Anything bigger is an annoying waste of space for me 99.9% of the time. The only thing I wish was that more colours were available and that I could get all the existing ones without having to buy multipacks which often duplicate other colours. These, however, being the 'basic' colour, are the cheapest, and unless you use the notes to colour code as I do, I see little reason not to stick with these.

The post-its I was sent to review are a larger size than the ones listed here; which size will suit you depends on what you want to do with them, so look carefully at Amazon's product description before you order. The colours here are great; really bright and will stand out even on coloured paper, and like all post-its, they stick when you want them to and can be easily removed when you don't want them to stick any more. As I've written on another review for "Post-its" this product has become an office classic; even when we aspire to go paper free, there is still a use for these brightly coloured partly sticky pieces of paper, even if it's only to stick a message on someone's computer screen! There are copy-cat products on the market but in my experience, the quality of the paper and the adhesive isn't as good. The Post-It version is the best!

I initially thought I was getting 4 large and 4 small not having read the description properly. This item is 12 small post it notes. I've used this size in the classroom when I want students to record a small idea or sequence information (such as events in a play for example). They are the perfect size for this type of teaching activity. The size also lends itself well to labelling folders of work that are stored in files. Within a home situation I've used them for planning which meals we're going to have (again I guess this is sequencing!!) as I write down the meal and then stick on a planner. They're good for attaching to books if you want to earmark a range of pages.I don't find I can write many notes on this size, possible a reminder to call someone or a quick job.

Regardless of the size and type of self-adhesive notelet you buy, Post-It always seems to come out on top.Like many users of these notes, I've tried a lot of other makes (both similarly priced and cheaper) and always come back to Post-It.One thing I like, is the ability to use them for so many purposes - highlighting document changes without writing on the original; leaving 'run-out-of-milk' note on the fridge; reminder notes placed on the front of my computer; the list is endless. So why am I so enthusiastic about Post-It versions over other makes? 1. They can be re-used (and they now have a 'stronger adhesive' version) and 2. they never leave a residue even on very old, valuable documentsWell worth the moneyRecommended

Post-its are great. Despite having to-do list apps on my phone and a panoply of resources for recording notes digitally, there's something about scribbling intents and thoughts on a post-it that just works. Maybe it's the fact I can stick it on my keyboard or monitor so it's impossible to ignore. This visibility is aided by the brightness of this 'Energy' palette: the post-its are so bright they almost glow in the dark. If they were edible, they'd have a moreish but artificial sweet and sourness, like the sour gums that I loved as a kid.Anyway, no wishy-washy off-yellow here. The colours are eye-catching and I like using them. Not much else to say.I'm currently working on a product design project and th

I don't have the pack of 12 pads, I received a 6 pack of 100 sheets of the larger sized Post-its, which are 76mm by 127mm. they are the original nd the best. These are is bight 1980s neon colours - two yellow, a blue, a green, an orange and a pink. The legend goes that 3M were developing a guise that wouldn't stick properly and then some creative thinking spark realised that could have its uses. I've been a fan of the Post-it for ever and can't quite imagine not being able to leave myself message affixed to all this different surfaces, not to mention the messages to others. I've even kept a couple of romantic ones I've received. In a digital world they can be the nearest things to a love letter sometimes.

Beautifully adhesive but doesn't leave marks so I can put them wherever I need a reminder: on cupboard door handles, my handbag, the car dashboard etc. Mine seem to stand-up to a reasonable level of re-use, for example the one that says 'collect prescription' that lives in my diary, but once a month when I get my outlook reminder, it goes onto the car dashboard so I stop off on the way home. These bright colours are my favourites as they are so visible, jumping out at you wanting to be read. While they might seem a bit dear, past experience says that this dozen will last me years. And they are a perfect size for phone numbers and single word prompts.

TWELVE=======12 pads. Rectangle shape. 4 coloursSIZE====These are the smaller post it notes about 5cms x 4cms.POST IT======I have tried alternative brands but I have to concede that the originals remain the best to use. Nice paper, easy to affix and remove.FAVOURITE=========A note of warning. I love, I adore, I admire two things that some people consider a little weird. Lego and stationery. These are not my favourite post it notes. But they are my go-to post it note for day to day use. Particularly for tagging documents.OVERALL========A nice essential addition for everyone's stationery drawer.

The original and the best! The Post-it Colour notes I received were a larger size measuring 127 mm x 76 mm; which will be of the same quality but have a slightly different use to those advertised above. The larger notes whilst a little on the large side to stick on the edge of a computer monitor as a reminder is better suited to record notes from a reference or study book as one can attach it for as long as it is required and the book remains undamaged when the note is removed.I don't think it's possible to have too many post-it notes especially now there are so many differing sizes.5 Stars!
